We are a two hundred acre family organic beef and sheep farm situated high on Bodmin Moor in the very heart of Cornwall. As well as being a demonstration farm for the Soil Association, we offer camping, yurts and a range of bunkhouse accommodation throughout the year for families, groups hikers or bikers. Unlike most camping in Cornwall, there are no marked pitches and we limit the number of people on site so that there is plenty of room for everybody to stretch out. We also sell home produced lamb burgers and sausages, as well as bags of wood so that you may experience the ultimate in cool camping - a campfire! Our Yurts are fully equipped for that 'back to nature' experience, with all the home comforts you need. Each have a wood burner & gas stove to cook on and provide heating. Futons provide sleeping and seating areas and a cot is available if needed. Rugs, throws and cushions add colourful comfort. all cooking and eating utensils are included - just bring you own linen or sleeping bags.

We loved this place so much that we are now returning customers. The kids love it and always ask when we're going back. We were last there in Aug 2020 and only wish that we could have returned this summer. The location is great as a based to all the wonderful things that the area has to offer. Personally, I always enjoy the quiet walks which are easily accessed from the property. This is very much a family place.

We stayed in one of the yurts for a few days in late July. It was so lovely and peaceful, and sitting outside the yurt for a morning coffee surrounded by birds and butterflies was idyllic. The family who own the farm are very helpful. The free showers, solar heated, and other facilities were spotlessly clean. This is a working farm, which campers need to respect, and personally I loved the little free range group of turkeys strolling round, and the ducks lined up on the fence eyeing everyone passing by. It's a great location for moor and the nearby North coast, and the 4km or so walk around the farm which takes in hut circles and the river was beautiful and really interesting. Looking forward to staying again.

A beautiful site away from the madding crowd, plenty of safe space for young children to play and with livestock free to roam the farm, roads and moors it really is like a safari trail at times 😀. The Yurt was fantastic - a much easier option than our usual tent due to the distance we travelled to get there. Great informative trails with stunning scenery around South Penquite. A 5* recommendation from us!

We have just spent 3 nights at South Penquite Farm. This was our second visit and we stayed in a yurt. We loved the quiet of the farm, seeing the chickens and ducks. We had a visit to our yurt by the friendly farm cat who made himself comfortable. The yurts were clean and comfortable. Make sure you have enough wood for the wood burner heating for the night though. We even had a visit by the farm's new puppies that was a brilliant surprise. We'll probably visit again next year :-)

We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way to the Isles of Scilly. We wish we could have stayed longer. Not too far from the A30 but very peaceful off the beaten track. The pod was very reasonably priced and very comfortable. Shower facilities were excellent. The farm sausages and burgers are delicious. Had a lovely country walk in the evening. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area. Thank you

What a lovely relaxing campsite, Plenty of space and nice to be allowed fires. Nice, hot showers and clean loos... what more do you need. Oh, and a friendly ginger Tom cat provided to keep your bed warm if you leave your tent unzipped 🤣

Loads of space to feel comfortable, friendly faces, super clean showers/toilet block, even a freezer to keep our ice blocks cold. Fires permitted and encouraged which is glorious. Geese/turkeys/ducks/friendly cats roam around and add to the fun. We got pretty good at table tennis in the covered games area and ordered firewood/burgers/sausages which you order earlier in the day and collect between 5 and 6pm. All were all excellent. Lovely stay, incredible location, walked to both pubs (it's a bit longer than 20 mins but still, you get to take in the Jubilee Stone en route to the Blisland Inn if you like) horses on the Moor and even Shetland ponies nearby too.

Amazing eco-friendly campsite. Really liked that we could pitch up in our little group of three wherever we wished and that campfires are encouraged- it really made our trip that extra bit special! The facilities were spotless and there was everything you needed! Beautiful surroundings and we were able to visit lots of places on the North Coast all within half an hour drive of the site! Great price. Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend to others.

Just what we needed at the end of lockdown and a crazy few months. This campsite was so good we are already discussing when we can get back for our next visit. The relaxed 'pitch and spread out' atmosphere, the amazing burgers and having a campfire to sit around and talk about our day was perfect. Having such fantastic facilities for showering, toilets and the added bonus of a small laundrette, fridge and freezer was just the icing on the cake. Thank you so much for the opportunity to visit your amazing farm :) See you soon!

Wow, this is what we want from a campsite and more. Obviously, the campfires are great, but the showers and toilets and washing up facilities are really great, clean and well maintained. Hot water in the washing up area is such a good touch making it super easy. We came back this year as we knew it would be easy, and they are so so relaxed and the vibe of people there is perfect. Yes I love the coffee/breakfast van, it is a win. Loved the new football goals in the kids play area bit, and the new fridge freezers, clearly they are still investing in the place which is great to see. Not sure another campsite in the UK can live up to this place. Also I'm a big fan of the no dogs and no caravans, makes it a proper camp. Being up on the moor with a campfire and the stars out is just bliss.
