We stayed in the snug which sleeps 6. It was clean and warm but the 3 tier bunk bed has very little headroom which could be an issue for people who aren't super bendy!! There isn't much floor space for 6 bags but we managed OK as there were only 3 of us. The shower was hot and powerful and...

The site is amazing. The animals are such a wonderful feature although be aware one of the chickens is very cheeky and will steal your dinner straight from your plate. The loos and showers are lovely, clean, nice warm showers and beautifully designed. The farm trail is a must, 2 and a half hours of pure bliss. Will return xx

A lovely venue with great facilities in one of the most beautiful areas of Cornwall. We stayed in Daddy Bear Yurt in the week and they are very well laid out and comfortable. Only four yurts in the field which gave you enough space to ejoy the surroundings. They are clearly developing the site as it is becoming more popular...

My partner and I stayed for one night in our campervan last week and were really impressed with this site - really good, solar powered, showers (warm, clean and spacious), beautiful views, the moor on your doorstep, relaxed pitching and great value for money. A simple site compared to others, but everything you need if you prefer the great outdoors...

This must be the best campsite. A hidden gem and the most caring of owners. Come rain or shine South Penquite is a special place to be either camping, staying in a yurt, bunkhouse - on your own or with family and friends. We have just had our annual fix and returned to London refreshed and planning next year. Set...

Really lovely moorland campsite on organic South Penquite Farm. Small fields play host to camping very informal camping locations, with two yurts set up for the glampers. Relaxed and rural with some games room entertainment for kids and one electrical hook up, but this place won't suit the mega motorhome traveller seeking waterslides and evening shows in the bar. The...

The information we received prior to arrival was great, easy directions,we arrived to the most beautiful location. We live locally & my daughter wanted to go 'camping', she is in a wheelchair so conventional camping is not an option, we stayed in one of the yurts. The yurts were amazing, lots of room for our endless belongings (my daughter doesn't...

Having visited this site for many years, first when my son was around 6/7 (now 25.) We have seen it grow from one shower one toilet! Also seen the family grow! Facilities are quality solar heated showers, lovely toilet block, washing machine and dryer (remember taking 3 kids to Wadebridge during stormy weather to laundrette!) (Boscastle floods may be!) Washing...

This campsite is situated on Bodmin moor. It has wonderful views and is very quiet. there are yurts to hire that are situated in a field of their own or you can just pitch your tent in any of the other fields. The shower block is lovely and everything is kept clean. This is a quiet site with no facilities...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a two hundred acre family organic beef and sheep farm situated high on Bodmin Moor in the very heart of Cornwall. As well as being a demonstration farm for the Soil Association, we offer camping, yurts and a range of bunkhouse accommodation throughout the year for families, groups hikers or bikers. Unlike most camping in Cornwall, there are no marked pitches and we limit the number of people on site so that there is plenty of room for everybody to stretch out. We also sell home produced lamb burgers and sausages, as well as bags of wood so that you may experience the ultimate in cool camping - a campfire! Our Yurts are fully equipped for that 'back to nature' experience, with all the home comforts you need. Each have a wood burner & gas stove to cook on and provide heating. Futons provide sleeping and seating areas and a cot is available if needed. Rugs, throws and cushions add colourful comfort. all cooking and eating utensils are included - just bring you own linen or sleeping bags. ... more   less
