The Premier Inn Bodmin garners mixed reviews on value, with some guests finding the pricing reasonable while others suggest it could benefit from refurbishment. Many travelers commend the hotel for its satisfactory amenities, including spotless rooms and the much-appreciated cooked-to-order breakfast, though there are occasional mentions of WiFi and air conditioning issues. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness stand out, contributing significantly to the hotel's welcoming atmosphere. While the cleanliness of the rooms is frequently praised, some guests note that the decor could use an update.

Was welcomed by a very friendly chatty lady called Lisa who was very helpful with our questions and our early check in , she went to check and see if the room was ready and to the highest standards. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh smelling .
A great nights sleep beds are so comfortable we both slept like logs ☺️
Early check in was great as we had traveled up from Dorset early and just wanted to be able to have somewhere to relax after a long journey .
Later check out was great for us so we could have a lie in and not worry about being out before 10 am ☺️
All staff was very friendly and very chatty we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and allStaff there was polite and friendly and accommodating to all our needs . Overall we had an excellent stay from start to finish .
Great value for money
Highly recommend a stay there .
Lisa and her team there are great so welcoming and helpful.

A tale of two halves, on our arrival, despite putting in our original booking notes that we required a room on the ground floor we were told that there was nothing on the system and our room was on the first floor up 2 flights of stairs. The receptionist Pamela (Scottish) managed to amend the booking and find us a room on the ground floor, she then offered to ring ahead to our next stay at a premier inn to ensure we had a ground floor room, she went above and beyond and we are extremely grateful. Demonstrating excellent customer service.
The 2nd half of the review concerns the restaurant, Table Table, outdated menu, jumping on the vegan band wagon yet offering vegetarians a poor choice instead of offering a vegetarian selction with a vegan option, apparently jacket potatoes are hard to get hold of according to a staff member, we offered to go to Asda next door to get a bag. Extortionate prices for a glass of white wine, nothing special. Suggest getting a couple of bottles from Aldi down the road for the price of a glass of wine at Table Table. No problem with breakfast or breakfast staff.

Having arrived at Bodmin Premier Inn we were warmly welcomed by Kate & Charmaine and given our room keys. Smashing Room in the quiet End, but I was concerned I may be too hot to sleep. The ladies came up from reception with a cooler Duvet, a sheet and offered and made up the single bed for me under the window, they were only to happy to help, not once making me feel awkward. They really understood how tired I had been for days, not sleeping. My husband I went out for the evening and on return to our room, there was the made up bed, by the cool window, and also a beautiful hand written note, with sweets and a face mask, wishing me the best night's sleep.

These ladies have melted my heart with their kindness, and their care, they are wonderful. I think Premier Inn are so lucky to have the ladies represent the company so well, and I am blessed with being shown such kindness and consideration. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Kate & Charmaine, you are the best.

booked a family room for 2 people ended up with one double bed no other rooms availbe .we found the pillows bed sheets and mattress was very heavily stained in yellow body fluids the bed base was the same and holes in the mattress. we asked to be moved but was told the hotel was fully booked. At night their was people smoking drugs and heavy drinking in the car park .We would never go back their as it had ruined our stay and could not wait to leave . My partner could not get any sleep on the sofa due to no pillows or devet . The bath towels were hard and had light staining.Carpets had stains and could do with a wash. Think its about time that they had a refurb to bring it up to date. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned and some more tea and milk No one told us that you had to request it to be done and they their is limited /no information about it in the rooms (the room looked nothing like it is in the picture)

Response from Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, Other at Premier Inn Bodmin
Responded 23 Nov 2021
Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re very sorry that you were left disappointed by the cleanliness standards in your room on arrival. This certainly isn't the experience we would expect for you. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and teams has always been incredibly important to us and everyone in our hotels should rightly expect a safe, clean and protected environment. The Coronavirus crisis has brought this into sharp focus, which is why we have launched a new rigorous, daily cleaning regime across all our hotels. We apologise you found your room to not be up to the high standard we would expect. We have ensured this feedback has been logged to the Hotel Management team so that they can look into these issues with our Housekeeping teams to prevent this experience from being repeated again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Kind regards, James

Warm and friendly staff and a clean room. Good food in the restaurant next door but other food places in east walking distance. Even though our room was over the restaurant, we heard no noise from downstairs or the carpark out front. My wife and I will definitely return 👍

We booked the Premier Inn by email and my husband requested a downstairs room as he is disabled. When we arrived this was not available and we were very grateful to the receptionist, Di, and another couple who were prepared to exchange rooms with us as they did not need a ground floor room. I feel it is a shame that one cannot phone the Premier Inn direct, it would make life much easier. Having said that the treatment we received was wonderful. Our room was clean and the meals, we had booked breakfast and evening meal each day, were delicious with a huge range from which to choose. We have stayed at this Premier Inn before so we knew it was very good and we intend to stay again. I would recommend it to anyone.

Prior to this 5 night stay, we stayed 6 nights at the Exeter St David PI and that was a better base. This hotel is great if you are driving but a long walk back uphill from the train station and its easy to see why people chose to eat at the on-site restaurant cos its at least a 15-20 minutes walk into the town centre or a taxi fare £4-5. Fair to say staff at this hotel are a lot more friendly and helpful than at most other premier inns. Covid secure measures are in place but on our stay roughly only half the people wore face covering and staff seemed happy for you not to wear a mask in the reception area. Your room is only serviced if you specifically ask for it but the staff were more than happy to replenish towels or empty your bin if you left it outside your door. Breakfast was ok but became samey, and just like with the hotel, they had covid measures in place but they were happy for guests not to comply

Clean, friendly, professional. Checking in was an efficient process, the reception staff was friendly and helpful, offering local information.
The room was exceptionally clean and neat, as if it had been recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. The basic WiFi access was adequate, no issues at all.
Public transport was close by and easily accessible, including getting to and from the train station.
The meal was good value.
The dining room staff were indifferent, it felt like they were doing their job and no more. The dining area was clean and pleasant.
The meals were good value, we opted for the meal deal but when an item on the deal wasn't available, we were informed that it couldn't be replaced by another. Vegetarian options were limited.
Breakfast options were good, well prepared and of good quality.
Overall a good experience, would stay again.

Stayed at Bodmin Premier Inn as my group required a bed for the night and a good nights sleep before continuing with our travels. The room was good in terms of amenities and average cleanliness, however, the stuffiness and extreme temperature of the room (even with fan) meant that no one in the party had a good nights sleep. This room would be ideal in the winter months but is uncomfortable in the summer if temperatures outside creep above 20.
