We’ve just returned from a 4 night break. We stayed in a platinum lodge which we found excellent. it was new and V clean inc dishwasher and washer dryer ( very handy after swimming) TVs in all bedrooms, en-suite to main bedroom. Lovely large towels dressing gowns and slippers . Outside there was furniture inc cushions. We were right on the lake. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed feeding the ducks each morning. Reception staff were helpful and called to check all ok on our first day which I thought was a great touch. the newly refurbished pool was great it has lovely separate changing rooms and lockers included and we appreciated the booking facility which ensured the pool was quiet when we used it and we could get a change room. We did not eat on site but used the bar once. It was very well done out and clean. Prices on a par with pubs. The location is very remote, we struggled to find anywhere nearby to eat but did go to the white hart one eve, which was about 10 mins away by car, and had a very filling meal. Rest of the time we ate in the lodge. There’s no entertainment in the week which didn’t bother us as we were happy to just chill out but maybe families with younger children may prefer a site that includes some entertainment in the evening. Overall we would love to return and stay in the same accommodation but we couldn't see it available to book for next year. I only have 2 minor points for future- shelves in the bathrooms would be useful as would bedside lights other than that - perfect

Thank you for your lovely 5* review, we are delighted to see that you had a very peaceful and relaxing time with us. Our platinum lodges are new this year and have proven to be a popular accommodation. Should you wish to return please note that if you do want to have entertainment, this is during the 6 weeks holiday and also October half term, during the out of peak we have a visiting cabaret twice a week. We will certainly take on board your comments regarding the lamps and the shelves. We do hope to see you again in the future, once the lodges are loaded on our booking system for next year we will try and contact you.

When we go away we all hope for good weather, when we get it, it's a bonus. Then you get given a chalet that will not let you enjoy it.
The grounds are beautiful, the lakes must be a fisherman's dream. (we don't fish)staff are friendly pool is great. unable to comment on the club as we had our dog with us but it sounded in full swing. The bar is a little dear but the restaurant is good value however when you place an order they take it but do not mention if they are out of anything. when it arrives you ask where is the missing items are we got told 'We don't have it' truly that was it . some staff appear very young .
We paid for a dog friendly gold chalet and got given number 25. it is in total shade by the large trees which surround it. Which did not allow us to use the villa or its patio to enjoy the nice weather as photos will show. it was also musty and even the clothes we did not wear and come back home with had that smell on them. Its also right next to the maintenance yard which was noisy.
On 1st arriving the villa appeared clean then our dog was caught eating crisps left under the table and on closer inspection it probably only got shown the vacuum cleaner. Beds were all made up.
Also we had a hooded intruder one night walking around the chalet (we did report it) at a time when we would of been in the club house! the villa was perfect for this due to the trees hiding them. Our dog alerted us and frightened them too. A downfall of this camp is there is no security barrier on the main entrance anyone can drive in park and walk around.
If we had been given a chalet in the open our view would have been very different maybe because we had a dog! .I think a number of villas along our row were also in the shade/ darkness but not as heavy as ours.
I expect the park will give their opinion of this review of which I will not be able to reply back to. Yes its has some lovely grounds of which attracted us. the sting in the tail for us is we visited with a view to purchasing a new holiday home. Obviously we are now looking elsewhere on our next trip down to Cornwall.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, we are sorry to hear the you did not fully enjoy your stay here with us. Villa number 25 is usually one of our most popular due to the fact that it is a pet friendly, large accommodation with easy access to the main Complex. As with most of our property's as we are in a countryside location there are a lot of trees that surround the park. We have spoken to the complex manager regarding missing items on the menu, unfortunately when some items are popular they are sold out more quickly than the less popular menu items, we do our stock rotation regularly so we can only apologize that you were unable to purchase these at the time. The gentleman walking around the back of the villa during the evening was walking around the farmers field that backs onto our park, we did after you had mentioned this to us keep an eye on the situation, however he did not appear again, we would like to thank you for letting us know. Although, as mentioned, you are unable to reply back on trip advisor, please do not hesitate to contact us directly should you wish so we can discuss further, as we take all comments and feedback on board as this helps us improve our service for our guests, again, we would like to thank you for your comments

We have just returned from a week’s stay at the park.
The park itself is lovely set in beautiful grounds, well kept and very clean, we could not fault it.
The reception staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful.
The pool is very clean and warm with crystal clear water, there is a booking system to ovoid overcrowding, this worked very well, the lifeguards were very observant and clearly very good at their jobs.
The restaurant food was reasonably priced and good value for money, the pizzas were beautiful and freshly cooked, we had no complaints at all and ate there 3 nights during our stay.
The entertainment staff were unprofessional, especially Lucy, she had her favourites during the week and was very biased towards them, even to the extent that during the karaoke she just walked off and left music playing while she walked to the other bar and chatted to a guy that was staying on the holiday park. She changed the rules for the karaoke, it was going to be kids first then adults, half way through she changed this and let the same people sing over and over including kids, we walked out early as it was a joke.
On one particular night one of the bar staff was off duty and had clearly had a lot to drink, he was going behind the bar serving himself and friends alcohol. The entertainment staff also turned the music off early so they could sit and drink at the bar. We felt that the end of the evening was rushed so the entertainment team could get out as soon as possible. One evening Lucy turned the music off abruptly at 11.15 and said I’m getting out of here, I’ve done enough today and left guests unattended sitting in the venue. We have never encountered such unorganised and unprofessional entertainment staff in all of the parks we have been to. Dance games were not appropriate for 5 year olds. One evening Lucy played statues and bumps but decided to change the game to do the opposite, it took her over 10 minutes to explain the rules and the young children really didn’t understand what they were doing, this turned out to be totally ridiculous, especially when our 5 year old granddaughter has dance lessons and plays the game the correct way during warm up, it took a long time afterwards to explain to our granddaughter that she must do it the correct way when she returns to her dance lessons, surely playing the game the correct way would have been much better??
This entertainment staff really let the holiday down, we won’t be returning.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we are pleased to see that some aspects of your stay was to your satisfaction, however we are sorry to note your disappointment with the entertainment. As you are aware we do have to cater for many different tastes so sometimes it's difficult getting it right for everyone, we have had no issues previously with the games being changed as stated on the schedule on occasion things will not be as advertised. This is Lucy's first season as an entertainer, we are sure you can appreciate that on occasion things may get overwhelming for her during busier times while she is still learning and improving her new role. Again we can only apologize that you felt that she was unprofessional and we will kindly suggest to her to read the room before making any changes to the games, I am sure she will be devastated to read such a review and we hope that her confidence will build as time goes on. We do not encourage any of our off duty staff to drink in their place of work so we will speak to them accordingly. Although we did not meet your expectations on this occasion we do wish you well with any future holidays.

Me and my family went on a trip to hengar manor for 7 days with not much information other than reviews on sites and Facebook which did catch our eye as the website didn’t give us enough, we travelled all the way from Ireland with our autistic son who is 2 in June, the accommodation secret garden apartment was impeccable with lots of space and very clean however, WiFi access was unavailable in this apartment which we was not informed about until we arrived and one of the things my son loves is his iPad, this caused a lot of stress for him but we compromised 4g usage which cost a bomb tho! The timetable on activities which was available for children I felt was next to known with little information on times etc.. in welcome pack and I had to go ask myself. Rhi who does activities with children was amazing and deserves more recognition on the part she plays in peoples holidays, she was not only understanding about our sons needs but also adapted activities to suit him, so thank you to Rhi. The play park is a climbing frame and 2 swings this needs modified although there is maintenance work going on around the resort so they may be planning on modifying it already. There is not a lot to do for children esp with additional needs and everything else costs so much money bingo was too overpriced I felt at £26.80 for one bingo pack which includes a 3 page book and 2 single sheets playing against all holidays parks! food and drink again so expensive for what you receive as it’s not to standard although during conversation about activities for toddlers we were informed it had been taken away and that it was for 5+ this was very disappointing, the swimming pool could do with railing into the water for the small pool the secret garden had a baby climbing frame my son would have loved to play on but again this was not maintained and was filthy and unable to use. staff however were lovely as I mentioned earlier Rhi is lovely and so was Jeremy so I would like to say thank you to them.
We are not blaming staff on grounds as they did everything they could to help us within their means this is a review to park holidays...

Thankyou for your comments, we are sorry that you were unhappy with your stay here with us. Unfortunately as the Manor House is a listed building, at present we are unable to provide Wifi for this part of the park, however we do have free Wifi in the main venue for our guests to use. All the information on the activities are on the entertainment guide in the welcome pack that we ask you to read through when we check you in, we have also added the link to get the bookable activities. The Bingo prices are in line with other holiday parks within the company and locally as is the bar tariff and restaurant prices. There is a railing on the steps into the pool area and the little children's area is approx. 12 inches deep so this is not warranted for this section, the secret garden area is still undergoing some works as are other areas of the park as we are continuously improving our facilities which we are sure that you can appreciate. We do wish you every happiness in any future holidays.

Stayed in silver villa, accomadation very clean, beds comfy, hot water & usual self catering equipment all in place, ie kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer ect.
Bar and restaurant clean, food was adequet, would have been helpful to advertise all serving times ie breakfast from 9 to 12, dinner from 12 to 9pm then pizza only after 9.
All staff at the park were friendly & very plesant.
Fished in willow lake, caught plenty rudd, roach & bream, note: you have to have your own fishing gear and rod licence.
My only negative is the pool opening times 10 to 5 not ideal as unable to swim before or after a day out. These hours need to be extended. Dissappointed that we didnt get a swim at all during our entire break.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, we are pleased to see that you found your accommodation clean and comfortable, it's good to see you had a good few days fishing in the lakes. For reference we do hire fishing equipment from our shop should you need any additional items. Our opening times are advertised in the information in your welcome pack that we urge you to read through when you are given your welcome pack on arrival, they are also advertised in the Venue repeatedly throughout both rooms. We may be changing our pool opening times nearer to the Summer break as at present it does not warrant staying open longer as there is no demand for this, we do have a 9 o'clock over 16 swim should anyone wish to use this time, however again there is at present very little demand. We do hope you wish to visit us again in the future

We have stayed here on 2 occassions, once in a 2 bed bungalow and once in a 3 bed villa.
The park is in a lovely quiet setting not far from Bodmin, handy for shopping etc
The accommodation was clean and comfortable on both of our stays, we preferred the villa as it was bigger and meant we all had a bit more space, we have teenage sons!
There is a little shop on site, handy for any emergency bits, but we found it a bit expensive. Our boys liked the pool, we had to book time slots on both stays so they could limit numbers (post covid times).
We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and there is a good selection of dishes available, all at a reasonable price.
The grounds are lovely to walk around, there is a small pond with ducks etc.
We really enjoyed both our holidays here, we found it was a good place to use as a base for exploring further afield.
We would recommend Hengar as a great place for families to stay.

We have just got back from a fantastic 2 weeks holiday at Hengar Manor (Park Holiday). What can I say it was absolutely amazing, from start to finish. We had a lovely call from Hengar Manor before we arrived, checking everything was alright, we arrived to Hengar Manor, and were amazed by how beautiful the ground were. We stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom pet friendly gold villa which was very clean and spacious and included everything you could possibly need. Including two bathrooms! Although the park was quite, we actually found it very relaxing and a great base to visit surrounding areas. The park is very well kept and has three fishing lakes and lovely grounds to walk around . we ate in the lovely freshly decorated bar, restaurant a few night and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. All the bar staff , including Erica was very friendly and welcoming. We could even take our yorkie into the lower bar area, which was a massive bonus!!
A massive shout out to the amazing Rhi the entertainment manager, Park star Josh and Park Star Andrew, you three were absolutely amazing entertaining us every night, even tho some nights were quite, you went out of your way to make our evening special, from bingo, quizzes and your amazing Cabaret Rhi and Andrew ! But Not forgetting getting a whole night of Josh singing (practicing) lol you were Brilliant and went out of you way to entertain us all evening. Your all fabulous. This was the first holiday in ages that we didn’t want to go home. Booking again for Sept, highly recommend staying at Hengar Manor, you won’t be disappointed.

On arrival the receptionist was really friendly our villa was literally just down from reception no 38 which as fab.

When we got to the villa we noticed it was quite unclean foot prints on the kitchen floor windows filthy and the bathroom was disgusting needs ripping out. The sofa on the recliners were disgusting full of food and marks on.

Bedrooms were a nice size plenty of room and storage.

Unfortunately our decking wasn’t good enough and was breaking covered in bird poo cobwebs needed a really good clean my partner went to reception on Saturday morning and they said they would get someone round go clean it….2 men walked past and told my partner we were next on their list of jobs to do. We went out for the day and came back and they hadn’t bothered to do it so he went up again and got told they would be down to do it they never came…..also no gate on there and with a nearly 2 year old was a nightmare!

Entertainment is really lacking for kids bingo every night and being told to keep my 1 year still and quiet wasn’t very nice! He just wanted to dance!

We ate in the restaurant the first night it was nice reasonably priced but drinks are stupid price!

Please please get more on your menu for kids that have allergies my son has a dairy allergy and all he could have was sausage and chips there was nothing else and nothing for pudding either

Swimming pool was nice and warm Shame that it doesn’t have the slide like it shows in the videos online.

Park desperately needs some work done again nothing like what is shown on videos and pictures online it’s rubbish!

Nice to be able to feed the ducks the kids loved that.

The walled gardens are all over grown.

The whole place needs a good clean up and it would be really nice!

There wasn’t anything to do in the days with the kids no pottery no segways even tho that’s shown on the website!!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry to see that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay with us. We are unsure of where you have seen the descriptions of the park as we have not had a pool for 2 years now, we have had extensive refurbishment works carried out over the last 2 winters on the building, park and pool. Our website is checked regularly to ensure that the descriptions are up to date. The prices in our bar are inline with the local competitors and the allergens are listed in the restaurant. The children's activities are listed in the entertainment guide that you are given on arrival and the full entertainment is listed on our what's on board located on the main wall outside of reception. We have checked our records and found no reports of the decking, however thank you for bringing this to our attention now so that we can rectify this. We have checked with housekeeping and our records show that they did attend to the accommodation in a timely fashion. Again we would like to thank you for your feedback as we continuously learn to improve our service to our guests and take all feedback seriously

We booked this place based on reviews and had high hopes for it.... we will never return.

We booked as a group of 10 due to never seeing my sister and her family and we were in the end all split up.

The lodge was dirty and for a silver rating it smelt upon first opening the door, the bed for the one night we stayed there was so uncomfortable, and we had to clean up mice/rat/squirrel droppings due to having a toddler into putting everything in his mouth he finds currently.

At 3.40am myself and husband were woken with a loud bang on the roof and scurrying around we didnt sleep that night and after a 6 hour journey was exhausted, I dashed upto reception at 9am as soon as it opened, they sent two gents who went in the loft and said it was an empty bird nest, my brother in law then himself inspected and came across a 4ft by 2ft nest above our bedroom and a hole in the roof space. We went back to reception who got past control in the day later who put traps down and confirmed it was either a mouse nest or squirrel nest, the reception contacted us and said they would have to rehome us in a 3 bed caravan much cheaper than what we paid initially for our only family holiday that year which we didnt all stay in due to being a family of 10and being not only too small but also due to health and safety and fire risk as we exceeded the numbers.

The manager said she wasnt able to call me until Thursday to confirm any compensation, it is now Sunday we have left and I'm still waiting for that call. The reception team kept saying it is a country park and is to be expected, we visit centerparcs and other country parks each year and have never shared accommodation with them.

We have been left so upset and felt that we haven't had a great holiday that others seemed to have experienced on here.

Please beware if staying in lodge 10..... they probably haven't cleared the nest out as stated and will each week keep filling the bookings up on this lodge.

If I could give 0 stars I would.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are sorry that you encountered this issue, however as we are located in a very rural location we do sometimes encounter the local wildlife. After you bought your issue to our attention we investigated your accommodation, we then called our pest control company who then discovered an old bird nest and evidence of a squirrel. After you refused to stay in the accommodation we located a gold plus caravan for you, we gave you this free of charge as you were two families and you decided to separate. The manager tried to contact you as arranged and unfortunately could not get through. When you arrived you asked us to attend as you were unhappy, our housekeeping came to you promptly. Although we tried our best to assist you throughout your holiday, you clearly did not enjoy your time here with whatever we tried to do to resolve your issues. We wish you all the very best with any future holidays.

Booked this holiday the night before we arrived so we had no idea what to expect, we didn’t look at the reviews or have much time to research what was around us but to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. We paid an amazing price for 4 nights in a bronze bungalow and the bungalow was very spacious with lots of storage space and felt and looked really homely. Everything was provided for us in our accommodation and we even had a box of DVD’s below the TV that kept us entertained in the evenings. The beds and sofas were tolerable but we can’t really complain for the price we paid. We arrived late Monday night and had a courtesy call from reception the next day to check that everything was how we expected which we really appreciated. We had breakfast included which we couldn’t fault and had a variety of choices to chose from. Erica from the bar was fab and made us feel really welcome every morning when we went in for breakfast. Andrew and the entertainment team were all so friendly and we could tell they put a lot of effort into their evening shows. As it is quite early on in the season, the park was fairly quiet which we really liked and we still participated in the bingo, raffle and quiz’s in the evening which was such great fun and even won ourselves some money on the games. The location is really peaceful but you are not a far drive from attractions and things to do. We really had the best week and can’t thank the staff enough for making our time away so special. We made some fantastic memories and we can’t wait to hopefully come back soon :)
