We had a wonderful time at Chark Farm. The cottage was perfect for us and our children (aged 3 and 5), the children loved the games and the garden and Jenny was very generous with her time and patient with our children who can be a bit nervous around animals - but by the end of the week they loved giving the goats their breakfast and cuddling the Guinea pigs. It was a great location for travelling to the north and south coasts. It was our first visit to Cornwall and we hope we’ll be back soon!

Thank you for the lovely review, it was a pleasure to host you and your family. The animals loved the attention. Ben and Jerry, Stewpig and Cupig, Patch and Splat, and Mrs Hen all send their love. We hope to see you again!

We recently stayed at Chark Farm in the Mesyow Chy cottage. There were 4 of us (myself, sister and 2 young boys aged 2 and 6). The cottage itself is very clean, spacious and all on one level which was great for young kids. The cottage has a huge enclosed garden for the children to play in also. Jenny and Clive who own the cottage are lovely, every morning Jenny would meet the children and we would go round and feed the pig, goats, guinea pigs and horses with her. The kids would collect the eggs from the chickens every morning and give the guinea pigs their morning cuddle. This was the childrens favourite part of the holiday. They loved being able to brush and cuddle the animals when they wanted too. The location is great and we traveled to fowey, Newquay, st Ives as well as the local beaches and forest. I couldn’t recommend this lovely place enough.

Just returned from a relaxing 3 night weekend break, staying in Fenten Chy - a very spacious, clean, cosy and well equipped one bedroom self catering cottage. Felt safe staying, knowing extra COVID cleaning and precautions were in place. Various lovely cottages to choose from. Highly recommend a stay! Perfect location for us to visit our favourite north coast spots and to explore some new ones on the south coast. Dog friendly too. Arrived to a welcoming, warm cottage, with some essentials in the fridge/kitchen! Thank you to Jenny & Clive.

We spent a week here in October half term (we’ve also been twice before). Family of 4, including two energetic boys (5 and 9). We had an absolutely fabulous week, made all the better by Jenny and Clive. They were so welcoming and friendly, taking us around the farm to feed the animals and taking time to chat and answer the many questions the boys had about each animal. The kids had horse rides and we all had a horse and cart ride. The accommodation was spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Lovely sunset views on a clear day. Location is great to explore Cornwall, 40/45 minutes to north coast and 15/20 minutes to south coast. We will be back!!!

Our second visit of the year. After a week of beautiful weather it changed to wet and windy. However on arrival at the cottage the heating was on as was the glow on the electric fire, a most welcoming sight! Jenny and Clive go out of their way to make your holiday special. Everything you need is provided plus little extras. The accommodation is spacious and very clean. A wonderful rural retreat!

Many thanks for the comments Linda, it was lovely to see you both again. Pity about the weather but it had to turn some time! We're so blessed to have the carbon neutral biomass central heating to keep the cottages warm and dry when the weather is playing up. And good to know if you are out in the wet there is a warm bath or shower waiting, and you can dry your clothes. Weather has been a bit changeable in recent days but all guests have been able to get out and about for at least part of each day.

Returned 5 years after our last visit to a very warm and friendly welcome from Jenny and Clive. We stayed in a different cottage and, as before, was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Very Comfortable beds are a particularly good feature! There is plenty to do in the local area including visits to Fowey, Mevagissey, Roseland Peninsula and National Trust Properties. We visited the Eden Project on our one wet day. Good (but pricey). Watergate Bay is an easy drive if you want surf or boarding waves. Chark Farm offers good value, sensibly priced accommodation which we will return to next time we are in the area.

Everything as described and more! We’ve just spent a fabulous week on the farm. On arrival we were met by our host, the lovely Jenny. The accommodation has everything you need and more, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Ample towels, tea towel, washing up liquid and tablets. It’s very clean with some great additional touches including fresh milk, clotted cream and eggs. There’s Wi-fi, TV and a selection of books. In a beautiful area with Lanhydrock National Trust only minutes alway, great for a tasty lunch or afternoon tea. Several coastal towns are within easy reach. On our last afternoon Jenny took us out on one of her horse and carts, a lovely end to our thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Thank you Jenny, Clive and Family.

Just got back from a fantastic holiday in Cornwall. We stayed at Chark Farm in a converted barn, which catered for wheelchair access, which was one of our reasons for choosing it. It did not disapoint, the accomadation was spacious and very comfortable meeting all our needs for a restful holiday. The owners Jenny and Clive were very welcoming and happy to help if needed. The farm offered lovely walks, play areas for children and of course the goats, chickens and pigs that were very friendly and loved to be fed with your scraps. I will definatley be returning.

Just about to leave tomorrow, what fantastic people Jenny and Clive are, so friendly and loved being around our girls. Taking them out on pony rides, feeding the pigs, searching for eggs, looking after the Guinea pigs, saying hello to the goats. Clive took us by tractor to see the dairy farm at the top. What an amazing place.. Would highly recommend.. Thank you so much 😘

Wow what more can I say, Jenny was wonderful and big thanks to her, its brilliant for those who are in electric wheelchairs for space and luxury, we had Eggs, Milk, Scone, with Clotted cream on arrival also a point of milk. great with parking but you would need to drive carefully down on a narrow road but Only a mile from the main road and make sure you have sunglasses if the sun is going down as this will help with your driving, we had nice October weather for the 4 days but the wind did whip around the building when we had the storm, but when its calm its tranquil and wonderful the reason not giving 5 stars its the wifi as were gadget people we missed it I would be happy to pay a little more for it. Diffidently will want to come back for a short break for the reason. but again thanks Jenny you are a wonderful person
