We stayed here for 2 nights, primarily as a convenient place to stay for hiking up Snowdonia. We found the hotel very comfortable and clean, but would just benefit from a little TLC throughout the building.

They weren't offering the usual cooked breakfast due to Covid concerns but offered breakfast bags if you let them know the night before. Breakfast is complimentary if you book direct with the hotel so make sure to do so.

We arrived too late to find any restaurants open in the town, but there was an Indian takeaway available. We were hungry so REALLY appreciated the cosy communal guest room with disposable cutlery and plates provided.

This is a pleasant hotel in a convenient location for exploring Snowdonia. We booked two rooms and both were large with nice views. The sofa in each provided a comfy seating area. The decor could do with a refresh but it is all very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There is some traffic noise but we slept well all the same. The town of Llanrwst is only 2-3 minutes walk away and it has a range of shops, cafes and takeaways, although only one restaurant was open in the evening while we were there.
Check in/out is self service and we didn’t see a single member of staff while we were there although there is a number provided if you need to phone for anything and an honesty bar is available in the lounge. Daily cleaning of your room is optional and incurs an extra charge.

I would absolutely recommend this inn if you are near Snowdon. The Inn is near Betws-y-coed and worth the extra 4 miles to stay here over many of the other options in the area. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. It is easy to see why they were awarded the winner of the Four in A Bed season they participated in.
***** 5 stars hands down!

What a little gem of a place. Easy to find, easy to park, walking distance to town and some lovely parks. The room was lovely and clean with cute little toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. The entrance hall was well done with an area to eat with microwave, tea and coffee and a selection of treats with an honesty box. Such a lovely touch. The file in the room was informative and it was a great base to explore the gorgeous area,

As soon as you step inside you can tell the care and attention that has gone into the details in this boutique hotel. We ordered a room with a 4 poster bed and a view of the hill/meadow via expedia as we were looking to break up a long journey.
The decor in the hall and common room is stylish and interesting. Drinks and snacks are available by using an honour system payment tray.
Our room was fantastically furnished and spacious. It felt almost like a junior suite as we had a large bay window with a coffee table and comfy chairs ideally situated for gazing at the stunning scenery.
The info booklet was helpful and lead us to a number of interesting places nearby during out short stay. The town was delightful and there's a quirky narrow bridge leading towards another idyllic village. We also spotted a little river walk which was a lovely location for a picnic.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my young daughter. Our room was nice and clean when we arrived and was a decent size for us but was still quite small. The hotel is in a good location to use as a base to explore. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay and I didn’t know this was something that was an extra charge and we cleaned our room and empty our bins ourselves. The toilet I think flush pipe system was very loud and I was woken during the night and very early every morning whenever someone in another room would use their toilet... it was a crazy loud noise and was quite an unwelcome surprise!!!! We saw Nelson twice during our stay and he is friendly and nice when you see him but you rarely see anyone at all which for us all felt a bit strange. All in all this hotel was fine as a base for our trip and it did what we needed it to do as we were out exploring all the time but I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend it as I feel there are much nicer places to stay and we didn’t really feel our custom was appreciated or noticed.

We are doing lots of walks in Snowdonia this year and as we live 90 mins plus away we are staying somewhere close the night before so we can start early. We have been looking at Caernarfon and Bangor, and Betws y coed is usually full or expensive, but Llanrwst is only 20 mins from Llyn Ogwen so the location is perfect.

The hotel itself is five minutes walk out of "town" where there are a few restaurants, and looks over a tranquil field to the front. Our room, the double four poster was only £4 more than any other room, so it was the obvious choice. A wonderful bed, a huge window which thankfully on a hot evening we could open, tea and coffee, wifi and a bathroom with shower. The shower took a while to warm up but it was perfect once working.

Plenty of parking. Entry was simple with a keycode and there was also a lounge and while we were there, an unmanned reception. It all worked smoothly and we had a peaceful pleasant stay.

I have had the fortune to stay at Nelson's hotel twice over the summer and both times have had a great stay
The first time was in lockdown and I was impressed by both the size of the rooms and the Covid protocols they had in place.
Nelson is very friendly and a great owner.
Sadly our most recent trip was cancelled due to our daughter becoming ill. Nelson understood our situation and handled the matter incredibly well.

If you are wanting to stay in Snowdonia then I would strongly recommend the Meadowsweet Hotel

Good location close to Snowdonia, the town is quiet but beautiful. The room was basic but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Only annoyance was that when booking I said we would arrive between 2-3 on booking.com which I thought was just a general guide for the hotel but we were then charged an extra £15 for the room.

The Room was perfect, spacious and cosy, with all the amenities we needed.
We was well looked after by the hosts, they gave us a bigger room and made sure the room was warm when we arrived.
The communication pre visit was spot on.
Highly recommend a stay here.
