Comfortable room with all the facilities needed, kettle, coffee maker (Tea Pigs😍) hairdryer, iron, ironing board, 📺. Comfortable bed and powerful hot shower. Pleasant staff. We didn’t have breakfast but it looked plentiful. The whole ambience was relaxing. Very well located for public transport (leave Richmond station at the side entrance and turn right).

Booked this for a visit to Kew Gardens Xmas event. Location good for that. Impressive facade and reception and pleasant dining room for breakfast. Used car park at rear which was rather cramped. Room was a bit disappointing. Blind disabled to avoid view of adjacent building site so no natural light. Small and unable to open small wardrobe door fully as it hit the bed. Nice tea/coffee making facilities but limited coffee pods (no decaf even when requested). Bed comfy and all clean and pleasant. With a few tweaks could be 5star.

Beautiful hotel. Very comfy rooms, with gorgeous bedding and luxury amenities. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Within easy walk of high street. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Parking available. Affordable luxury. Brilliant!

This hotel is superb. Booking was easy. Stayed for one night in the family room with two double beds. Very clean and modern. Friendly staff. Excellent location, a five minute walk to the bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Richmond.

From the way the hotel looed from; approaching the front door to the vestibule and front desk to the dining room and our own room The Selwyn was; immaculately presented, spotless, tastefully decorated and furnished - it was 'classy' but not stuffy. The staff were welcoming and professional. And as for the breakfasts! - I have not had a better one anywhere I have stayed in the UK. All this plus parking and only a 3 minute walk to Richmond Station (both Under and Over ground services) mean it presented excellent value for money and will certainly be my hotel of choice on future visits to London.

Loved The Selwyn. The hotel was very modern and the staff were very polite and friendly. Room was small but comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is 10 mins walk into the centre of Richmond so was easy to get back to after a night out. It is also a 5 minute walk to Richmond Train Station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Our stay at the Selwyn was lovely. We did not want to stay in central London, and this was a perfect choice. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. It was only a 5 minute walk to the tube and 5-10 min walk to restaurants. The staff are all so very friendly. Our flight arrival time was very early and we had planned to just check in and leave our bags and do some sightseeing while we waited for check-in. Happily, the front desk noted that our room was ready and that we could check-in if we wanted to. This was before 11 am on a Sunday! What a treat! This was such an nice surprise as we had time to rest and freshen up before exploring. Our room was a bit small for a family room, but it was immaculately clean and the decor was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Keith, the chef immediately stood out to us as he offered a big croissant to my daughter while we were checking in. Many compliments to him as the breakfast was always amazing. The scrambled eggs were always perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was our favorite part of our stay. Thank you to Camilla, who always so kind and made sure we were taken care of during breakfast. She even insisted that we have some takeaway for my daughter before leaving for the city. This was very much appreciated. Some things that need improvement: 1. The bathtub is a big hazard. It is very slippery and we've had 2 incidents of falls in our 3 night stay (once with my sister and once with my daughter). Some anti-slip strips would be helpful. I would be surprised if nobody had mentioned this before. 2. Prior to arrival, I had contacted the hotel via email to find out how much transport to the airport would cost and I was quoted an amount. When the transport came, the price he charged was 30 GBP more than what I was quoted. We didn't have enough time to decline as we were catching an early morning flight so we just dealt with it. 3. Just nitpicking- but the towels could use a bit of an upgrade. They weren't fluffy so they were always soaking wet. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Selwyn and would absolutely stay there again!…

I would just like to say a big thank you to both Keef and Ilaria for their excellent customer service. My car broke down and I was waiting for the AA to arrive. I was told it would be 00.20 hrs before they could get to me. I walked in to this beautiful hotel to see if I could buy a coffee and wait in the warmth and safety. This was around 22.30 hrs. The kind and welcoming reception I got was incredible. Not only did they allow me to wait but they offered me free tea/ coffee and cookies. I was blown away. If this is the customer service they offer to ladies in distress, who just walk in off the street, then I can only imagine the outstanding service they must offer to their guests. A beautiful hotel, in a great location with amazing staff. Thank you so much..

We had a great stay at the Selwyn Hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the beautiful Richmond district. The hotel itself is very clean, the staff very friendly. We had a problem with guests in the room above us who were very loud one night. However, the staff then took super care of us, gave us a new room and credited us with breakfast (which is highly recommended by the way!). We can definitely recommend the hotel and will be happy to come back.
