The Kreuz Post was a quest respite to enjoy the lovely town of Staufen from. We rested well here after flying to Zurich and driving here. The room was very comfortable the only downside was no wifi, which is a problem for more modern electronic devices.

Very nice spacious room, good beds with good matrasses. Very nice bathroom , all mod cons. Abundant breakfast with very fresh bread , fruit and everything you could wish for in a continental breakfast. Also very good restaurant!

What an immensely charming place! Very tastefully and lavishly decorated. Truly cosy and outstanding in so Mans regards. Great wine list at reasonable prices. The best food we hand anywhere in the Black Forrest, absolutely delicious and unique. It was one of the most pleasant experiences and well worth the trip. We will come again.

We walked by the restaurant and ordered "Wiener Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln". The Schnitzel were not baked and placed on top of an oil-water mixture. Asked the waitress to have the schnitzels fried longer. When she returned ,one Schnitzel was brown on one side(still in the same oil-water mixture) and on the second plate the schnitzels looked the same as before;...

The focus of the staff seems to be on the restaurant, which seemed to be pretty high-end for the town. The location is great, right off the main square city center. Our double room was very clean, and ok size. Some things we didn't like: GPS directions did not take us where we needed to go by car to get...

This is a lovely hotel, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The server even translated each dish on the menu for us as it was all in German. The location is perfect with parking nearby. There is one serious and potentially dangerous problem here. They will only give you one key per room; you have to have a...

We spent two nights here in June, 2013. The Kreuz Post is a very nice hotel. Having said that, we were given a room in the "new" part of the hotel (room numbers assigned, not fruit pictures on the door). It was a spacious, well equipped room that felt more like an upscale US chain hotel room, than an old,...

Ok, first off: the rooms don't have numbers. They have little symbols with fruit. It was utterly charming. I think we had the cherry, pear, and blackberry rooms. The rooms themselves were colorful, terrifically clean, and had tea-making supplies. There is no elevator. The stairs are wide and comfortable (not steep or spiral). Breakfast was very good, with nice variety...

We stayed earlier this week at this hotel. We made an unexpected stop to visit Staufen and decided to stay overnight. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel room was large for the price and spotlessly clean. No WiFi but you can connect by cable for a 5 Euro charge. Otherwise the hotel is modern and the rooms look...
