Detailed Reviews
Very clean and spacious, well-equipped and with good breakfast materials provided. Hosts very responsive and supportive. I hesitate to criticise such kind hosts but I could have done with a bit more colour both in the house and the garden - flowers, pictures, shrubs etc. Maybe I missed the point - a clean, minimalist vibe? Anyway thanks Sandra and Miles!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and completely at home, nothing was too much trouble. An intimate and stunning location run by the friendliest of people. We stayed in the Kigsize Stag room, which we loved and found this the perfect location to stay to visit Glyndebourne which is a short taxi journey away. I am sure we will be back !

From the home-made Lemon Drizzle cake offered with tea on arrival, to the delicious cooked breakfast with home-made spelt bread, home-produced eggs and locally roasted freshly ground coffee, our stay was perfect. Comfortable beds with crisp sheets and modern bathroom facilities with super-soft towels, if I could give Sandra more stars I would.

This is a quiet B&B down a country lane outside Ringmer, ten minutes walk from the Anchor pub on Ringmer green. Three very cute, very comfortable mini-suites have been created in an old Sussex barn and outbuilding, all set in a pretty garden. Glyndebourne is about five to ten minutes away by car and this is a perfect place to overnight and avoid the late night drive back home. The downs are close by. And Lewes a few miles away.
The rooms are decorated to a high standard. We were down one end of the barn up a flight of steps, with a large and comfortable double bed in a small bedroom next door to a charming sitting room and a large bathroom with rain shower. The milking parlour room is a double with sitting area and outside terrace. There is another larger double with bathroom down the other end of the barn. Excellent free wifi.
Breakfast is excellent, whether you are full English or fruit and yogurt, with very good croissants and homemade spelt flour bread.
Little Norrington Barn is run by extremely helpful and flexible hosts who are keen to ensure a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

+1
We have just rented the whole of Little Norlington Barn for a family stay before a local wedding, including couples, the bride and groom, and grandparents. Sandra and Miles were wonderful, gracious hosts and every aspect of our visit was a joy, from start to finish.
The barn is lovingly restored with acres of English country charm, and the grounds are bucolic in the extreme. Each room has original features and charm--but enough updates so I (NOT known for my ability to rough it) did not feel primitive! The beds and linens are ridiculously comfortable and we sank into them, sleeping like babies each night. Bath products are British-made, charming for Anglophile Americans like me.
Sandra's breakfasts are amazing--locally sourced ingredients for fruit, granola, eggs, bacon, sausage and the like make everything taste amazing. The coffee beans are also locally roasted. I was late from Heathrow on Friday and Sandra whipped me up homemade spelt toast points with cheese and her homemade crabapple chili jam.
We were also fortunate enough to sample her delightful dinner as part of our wedding weekend--roasted butternut squash soup, roast chicken and chorizo, broccoli, mash and a lovely cheesecake with caramel sauce in which I would gladly swim.
We had early mornings and late nights with the wedding, but Sandra and Miles were there at every turn to make sure we had everything and that no desire went unquenched. In addition to being exquisite hosts, Sandra and Miles are also
lovely people with wonderful stories to tell--and they've perfected the art of being there at the right time and quietly disappearing when we wanted family time.
Honestly, I'd carry on but now I'm in danger of being ridiculously effusive. I cannot recommend Little Norlington Barn highly enough!

We stayed in 'The Milking Parlour' a self contained detached barn conversion near to the owners main residence. The open plan ground floor is spacious, bright and airy, with comfortable sofa's and a very well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is on this floor and is again well equipped and has a very good walk in shower. Upstairs is the attic style bedroom with comfortable double bed and plenty of storage. The entire property was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. A superb place to stay. However, that is not all the story, our hosts Sandra and Miles really added to our visit in a fabulous manner. Our initial warm welcome from Sandra with tea and cakes after a long journey set the tone. A first class 'tour' around the property with explanation of all the facilities followed. Sandra provided us with our continental style breakfast each morning and I can safely and genuinely say I have never eaten a better breakfast in any of the major hotels I have stayed in. Just perfect with home made produce to die for. The location is ideal for Glyndbourne and close by are Lewes and Seaford and the local countryside is stunningly beautiful. What more can I say just fantastic.

What a fantastic find for visits to Glyndbourne or trips to the beautiful South Downs.
Sandra Is a delightful hostess, friendly and extremely welcoming. Top notch, comfortable accommodation in an exquisite and tastefully furnished barn, set in glorious country surroundings and with simply scrumptious quality breakfast fayre too, which Sandra has taken the time to source locally as well as making her own bread and granola! With just two B&B rooms (and the self catering Milking Parlour) it's best to book early to bag this place! We will be back - assuming there is some space for us!!

Little Norlington Barn is a delightful b@b with a separate self catering unit. Sandra and Miles live on site and are charming and helpful. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and the views and walks from the property amazing. It is 5 minutes from Glyndebourne making our visit to the opera a lovely overnight treat .

Glad that your stay was a treat and thanks for mentioning the walks from here - one doesn't have to go up onto the South Downs for a nice stroll and some great scenery. Hope we can welcome you back next time you visit Glyndebourne. All the best, Sandra.

We stayed here for the Love Supreme 2017 jazz festival weekend at Glynde Place. It is just eight minutes drive away. Glyndebourne is even closer so it is an ideal location for these events. We loved it so much that we stayed on a couple of extra nights and used it as a base to explore the area. If there was ever a place for which five stars is not enough this is it. We stayed in the Stag Room which was not cheap at £150 per night, but we felt it was worth paying. Sandra and Miles actually let out two of the rooms in their luxurious converted barn and also a detached milking parlour. Whilst guests are in residence they live mainly in an annex at the rear. The location is rural, down a quiet lane, and there is plenty of parking space at the front. On arrival we were welcomed by Sandra with coffee and homemade cake. Throughout she made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Every little thing had been thought of and we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was to die for. There was a choice of full English and salmon and scrambled egg for the main event. Everything was homemade (e.g. spelt bread, marmalade, granola) or organic and mostly locally sourced (e.g. bacon, sausages, eggs and even the coffee). There was yoghurt, fruit (e.g. strawberries, kiwi, mango, pineapple, cherries, raspberries, blueberries) and croissants. I've probably forgotten something! The room was exceptionally clean and had a very comfortable double bed and sofa, Smart TV, bathroom with luxurious furnishings, sheets and towels etc. In the evening there are some excellent eating places locally in Lewes, Ringmer and nearby villages. Due to the location you really need to drive though. The nearest pub is about 20 minutes walk away. Sandra will be able to recommend. The quality was everywhere and it won't surprise you to know that we have our tickets for Love Supreme 2018 already and have booked to stay here again next year.

We were in the Milking Parlour for four days, which is a beautiful self-contained annexe with a double bedroom and an open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge. It is such a wonderful private and comfortable space, with the most amazing views to the Downs. You really could be anywhere (especially when the sun shines) and the lovely patio area lends itself perfectly to outdoor dining if it's warm enough. Even on colder, windy days, the lounge is warm and comfortable with two lovely sofas. All the furniture, fixtures and fittings are of great quality and the kitchen is well-equipped with all you need.

Hi Lois. Thank you for your enquiry. I apologise for the slow response but TripAdvisor has only just sent me your question.
We do have our Milking Parlour apartment available. However, it is a minimum of three nights over this weekend as it is busy with Love Supreme and Glyndebourne opera. The light and airy apartment comes with a generous continental breakfast brought over to you each morning (includes homemade granola and bread, fresh fruit, organic yoghurt, freshly ground locally roasted coffee, hot croissants, jams, etc). You have your own patio and own living room/dining room/kitchen. If we can tempt you, please get in touch with us direct. Hope we can welcome you. All the best, Sandra.
