With stunningly beautiful scenery & nearby walking trails, this is sanctuary! Hoping to return in summer as I would like to swim in warmer temperatures. The food at the resort is outstanding. I didn’t need to leave but the fully equipped kitchen allows the option to prepare meals just like at home.

It’s hard to properly review this place due to the COVID19 service changes. We paid $650/night for a two-bedroom suite with a nice view of the lake which I think is reasonable for peak summer with standard hotel services but this is not what we experienced. The restaurant is closed and there is no room service or housekeeping. The hotel will provide you with clean towels and sheets on request. The pools were only open from 12 to 6 which was frustrating and the hot tubs were closed completely. I saw very few staff around the hotel. Only one elevator was in service which was ridiculous as only two people were allowed in the elevator at once due to social distancing rules.

On the positive, the rooms were quite nice and well-equipped although the bathrooms were quite basic; I would have expected more given the prices paid. We had a great of the lake.

I am going to give this place the benefit of the doubt and assume that that the normal service level would earn four stars. If this is the case, I would happily return for another visit.

Stayed mid October to avoid the crush of the summer vacationers. The resort was perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Water front pathways for walking and right next to the historical nut farm. The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. Hotel staff very accommodating even though they do not offer room cleaning in our 10 nights there, they were prompt when we requested fresh sheets/towels/amenities. Covid rules strictly followed which made us feel safe. Will definitely return.

If you go on their web site they invite you to "Retreat to our luxury Okanagan Lake resort". The suites are large, and there is everything you need in the suite to be self sufficient for a week, but it's not luxurious by any mean. The furniture is dated, the mattress of our master bedroom had probably never been flipped or it was really old because one side was caved in and overall not comfy. I understand that some services like the restaurant were rolled back due to the current circumstances or that some amenities like the outdoor pool were closed for the season. No problem with that. However there was no food options within the resort at all and nothing close by if you do not have a car like us. A little self serve for pay pantry would help. More importantly, the big fail was the lack of genuine hospitality. None of the staff we interacted with left a positively memorable impression. Each day of our stay we came back mid to late evening and there was no presence at the front desk or at the main door. Anyone could walk in this place. In these challenging times hospitality workers need to learn to smile with their voices, their eyes and their attitude. Big fail too on not enforcing the wearing of a face covering in the common areas by guests and long term residents. This was actually something we experienced all over the city of Kelowna. A very disheartening complacent attitude by the locals. 4 stars for the size of the suite, the balcony and the view. 2 stars for the over stated and not so luxurious feel of our suite and the resort. 2 stars for the staff and extreme lack of services.

Cove Lakeside Resort is perfect for families who want to enjoy the scenery and water without being in the hustle and bustle. You can walk right out from the hotel to the beach where theres a nice walking/biking path along the lakeside as well as very clean and untouched sandy beaches accessible. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. Highly recommended for families!

Dear simonR3128ZF, Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Happy to learn you and your family enjoyed your stay in one of our fully-equipped luxury suites and were able to get outdoors to explore our pristine environment. we were very badly treated by the front desk staff when checking in they were rude and inconsiderate. the resort advertises fire places in the units but they are fake and we were looking forward to having one in our unit. there was a mix up with our check in procedure and credit cards and they were very uncooperative .we were able to pay for all nights for our 3night stay but needed to get in our luggage to get proper paperwork for our deposit and the would not take cash. they made us take our luggage out od the car in the parking lot with my wife being sick finally relented after a half hour and told us if we did not come to the front desk within a limited time they would send security up to throw us out disgraceful treatment and would not stay here again and do not recommend this property we travel quite a bit and are used to being much better treated

We welcome all reviews and appreciate that we have a forum to respond. Although we do not agree with this interpretation of events, all our guests have different perspectives. It is always advisable to read all booking confirmations before arriving to the Resort to ensure you are aware of payment policies. This will help to ensure these unfortunate interactions can be avoided. Most Guest Service Representatives have guidelines they must follow to protect their employer and it is always unfortunate when an expectation to disregard a guideline or waive a policy is put on them. It presents and uncomfortable situation for all involved and can result in an unfair assessment of their service. We are fortunate that this is a rare situation for the Cove. Many Thanks,

We arrived at noon to find out Check in was guaranteed for 5pm (which i found to be ridiculously late), and we didnt get our room until close to 6pm. Another family got their room at 1pm the same day which reallly threw me off. What could possibly be taking so long, eapecially when check out time is 10am. Travelling w 3 small children and having to wait 6 hours for our room was not a great start to our trip. When we finaly got to our room, my first impression was this room was not cleaned to our standards. The dishwasher was running and that left us unloading the dishwasher. The carpets in the room were filthy and there was a muggy smell to the room. The balcony door dis not shut completely, and it opened several tiles throughout the night. Our second day we were gone for the entire day and we came back to an open balcony door ( who knows how long it had been open). No housekeeping im between the few days we had stayed. I was more than happy to leave this hotel. I would never return and definately dont recommend this hotel if you care for cleanliness and service.

We typically pride ourselves on the level of service and standards of cleanliness we provide to our guests and were surprised to hear your comments in your review. In response to COVID-19, we have very strict procedures of cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for our guests and employees. A few examples of this are loading your dishwasher to assure our guests that all kitchenwares are disinfected for each new arrival as well as we evolved our daily stay-over cleaning to an on-demand delivery option which our guests truly appreciate. Additionally, in light of your feedback we will notify our maintenance department to review the patio door in this suite to ensure proper functionality. Thank you for providing us with your feedback. The room needed repair and a good cleaning, there was a noisy renovation above us which went on everyday until 5pm, and no services were available within the facility (IE: restaurant, lounge, pool). All of this could have been looked after before we arrived. They could have told us at the time of booking that no services would be available and they could have put us in a suite away from the noisy renovation.

Dear Audrey M, Thank you for your review of our property. We're sorry to hear that the restaurant and pool being closed was a surprise for your stay. We do our best to inform our guests by posting operating hours on our website so that our guests may be informed prior to their arrival. That said, we're pleased to share that our seasonal pool is now open and the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner 7 days per week as of May 30th. We were sorry to hear about the noise in the suite above you and, while we offered alternate accommodations for the remainder of your stay, we understood that you elected to remain in the suite you were in. We typically pride ourselves on the level of satisfaction our guests experience and are sorry this was not the case for your stay. We do hope that you provide us with an opportunity of a return visit so that we may show you a better experience. Warm regards, The Cove Lakeside Resort Team

We’ve been to the cove many times over the years. The property is fairly well maintained, and is secure. The location is great and it is convenient to have a large suite with rooms for several couples so close to the lake. Sadly, this time, our room wasn’t cleaned properly and the beds were all pretty worn out feeling. The majority of the staff we interacted with were not friendly nor effective. It felt like there was a lot of rough edges in customer service.

Check in was smooth, the 2 bdrm suite we'd booked was in a beautiful mountain and lake setting with a gorgeous view from our balcony. It was clean, spacious and well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 5/5 Soon after arriving we strolled the grounds on walking trails, safe for your furry members of the family and your wee ones, through the trees, winding through the gardens, open grass areas including a play area, patios with easy access to the two pools the hottubs and beach. Tennis courts are also available onsite, although we didn't use them, instead we drove to the nearby wineries for tastings, lunch and explored the surrounding area. We dined in room, we dined in nearby restaurants and also used "The Landing" right at the Cove for lunch one day with a local friend. It was a great meal. Our stay was an absolute pleasure.

I would assume the cleaning staff would sweep or vacuum the floors daily and wet mop where and when necessary. You should contact housekeeping and or the front desk to express your concerns.

Hello Deb. Our sandy beach is of average steepness. There is plenty of shallow space as it gradually becomes deeper. Our outdoor pools open in mid May and are heated, but we try to keep them on the cooler/ refreshing side as the temperature outside gets hotter. Small pool toys are permitted but floaties are not. With many people in the pool, this can pose a risk to young children. Water wings are welcome and pool pants are mandatory for children of appropriate age. There are several playground and more beaches all within easy walking distance of the Resort. One is directly adjacent to the property. The Canada Day weekend is very busy at the Resort and there will be many private events / weddings taking place. We will be recognizing the occasion generally but have no scheduled celebrations. That being said, there are no less than 3 fireworks displays to be enjoyed on that weekend within walking and shirt driving distance. We are looking forward to your visit with us. We are confident it will be an unbeatable vacation experience. Please reach out to us if you have any more inquiries.

Yes, the 2 bedroom suites have 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom shares a bathroom with a 2nd door accessible though a hall and a door directly to the bedroom. The other smaller bedroom has a bathroom only accessible through the bedroom. The rooms are very spacious with a full kitchen, dining room and living room. Some rooms have outdoor patios.
