Charming hosts, wonderful setting, warm and welcoming. Just come back from a long weekend and feeling very relaxed. We would recommend this location to anyone wishing for a tranquil, relaxing, away from it all setting.

We arrived early afternoon and were greeted with the words that the room was not ready as people had stayed the night before. What would have been nicer would have been sat down given a cool drink and asked to wait until the room was ready. The room was nice but there were a lot of flies about which could... More

Alastair and Cherry were very welcoming immediately I arrived. Happy to talk about their rural retreat and justifiably proud of their renovation of the property. I stayed for just a couple of nights and was looked after in a wonderfully diligent (but not over-zealous) manner and felt totally at ease coming and going as I did. Finding a dog friendly... More

Great hosts in a beautiful setting. Cherry and her family were friendly, efficient and full of good advice. The Moulin is lovely, even in November. If you're staying in the Chef Boutonne area, you should give this place serious consideration.

We stayed at the Moulin during August '13 and can vouch that it is very cosy, clean and comfortable. Our host Cherry was very attentive and extremely accommodating when circumstances forced us to cut short our visit. The location is rural and secluded but very well located for exploring the Poitou Charente region. Chef Boutonne is only a few minutes... More

Stayed at Le Moulin in June. It is a well converted old French property for the B&B visitor. It is located just outside the small town of Chef Boutonne, and in the vaste open spaces of French countryside. My wife and I stayed for a few days, the location is good for quiet walks as well as making small expeditions... More

We had a wonderful stay at Le Moulin de Lusseau earlier this year. I stayed with my husband and two boys for a week and we all had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Plenty of room for my children to play and not disturb anyone, plenty of lovely places to walk, river to paddle in, close to good local... More
