Just had a great week staying in a wonderful glamping tent. Jen, Chris & Carol did a great job of making us feel welcome from the minute we arrived to the day we left. Matt I loved playing in the woods making dens and swimming in the pool all day- Lewis My favourite part of holiday was fishing because I caught a bigger fish than my dad and brother - Lauren A great family atmosphere this place has all you need for a family get away, we can’t wait to go back. The Edgars.

We are currently on holiday at Fonclair in our caravan. Unlike many sites there is plenty of space which gives a real wild camping feel, but with all the amemities you need. We have a large caravan and Chris gave us a choice of private spots and plenty of space in a nice shady area which is unheard of in August. Fonclair were very flexible with arrival / departure times and very easy to deal with regarding booking, etc. However try to book in advance. They made us feel very welcome and live on site if you need any assistance. However we have never felt our privicy encroached, by them, other campers, children or pets. There are 'Gites' for rent on site which look outstanding and if we came in a larger group would definately book one for any elderly gests, folks not up for camping or in winter. MAKE SURE TOO BOOK THE GITES IN ADVANCE AS THEY ARE VERY POPULAR. I would highly recoment Fonclair for your main holiday or even a stop over en route to another European destination as it is situated perficty, especially if coming to or from the UK.

I have just returned from a lovely few days at Fonclaire. We rented the 8 man air tent down by the lake. This gave us exclusive access to take advantage of some great fishing. What a lovely little lake it is, full of some sizeable carp. We had 7 fish over 3 days ranging from 18-28lb. Regarding the amenities on the site, they were absolutely spotless. To combat some of the Covid restrictions the owners have put signs on the shower and toilet doors. Once a toilet or shower is used you turn a sign from Green (ok to use) to Red (needs to be cleaned. The owners then come in and clean all of the used falsities every hour. It made us all feel really safe and cared for. They also have another smaller lake/pond near the shower block where families were enjoying some float fishing. It was all very friendly with lots of guests often taking time out to interact with each other. I am defiantly going to go back with the kids. I can happily fish down by the lake and if and when the kids get bored of the fishing they can take advantage of the spacious grounds and amenities at the camp site. Another thing worth a mention is the nights sky. I have never seen so many stars. It is simply amazing to sit out at night by the lake sipping a cold beer gazing up at the nights sky. Last thing the owners are currently building a new swimming pool to upgrade their current set up. Absolute gem of a place that is only going to get better and better by the looks of things.

My wife & I visited here for our first break away with our newborn. The gite we stayed in was newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and fully equipped for everything you would need. As they knew we were coming with a seven week old baby, they also set up the room with a cot and provided a baby bath for us. The fact they are so baby friendly really helped us to relax, knowing that we didn't have to worry about every last detail. The site itself is so peaceful and we enjoyed taking some time to walk around their wooded area. The English owners are very friendly, on talking to them we found that they had been in there a year and it sounds like the place is only going to get better, as they still have lots of plans for the place and are always open to customer feedback. We will look forward to our next visit and to see how it has grown and changed in our absence.
