Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time on the site and will be looking to stay again. Stayed here forLovely small campsite, with wonderful facilities, particularly liked the privacy cubicles in the toilets and the radio playing! The facilities had been adapted for social distancing and were kept clean ere very clean. The Owners were very attentive and welcoming, adding to a pleasant stay.

This is not a big site but it is really well sites and equipped. There are both grass and hard standing pitches but to ones on the right as you enter the site don't get the sun in Sep, when we visited, because of the tall trees.
There is a small park for the kids.
The washing facilities are some of the best we have seen and thoroughly cleaned daily.
You can walk into the closest village, Bellingham, in about 20 mins where pubs, codes and shops can be found.

I turned up at the site and was told cyclists and walkers are never turned away. The owners are lovely people and keep the site spotlessly clean. They spend time chatting to guests and make you feel very welcomed. The measures in place for Covid are above what is required. I stopped an extra night as the site is so relaxing and friendly. I will be visiting again for sure.

Oh my word. What a fusspot the receptionist(s) is (are). Nothing wrong with the campsite facilities but the rules and rules and rules! I violated the first rule by not noticing the small 'park here on arrival' sign. Oops. There was a tiny possibility that a car arriving later behind us might have had to stop and ask me to move forward so he could get in. What a drama! Toilets shut for an hour and a half each day so give it twenty minutes after the previous incumbent uses the single unisex spare during this time. Or take a clothes peg. Oh, and be prepared to empty your blue or pink toilet fluid, it's strictly not allowed (more fussing ensues). You have to use green powder which they supply at a pound each. Easy enough to do, I asked what do I do with the drained (and therefore wasted) fresh chemical. I was told to take it into reception which I did. I was then told in a surly fashion to leave it outside (my fault I guess for being their customer). In fairness they then deal with it for you and you can continue your holiday...as long as you don't break any more rules. I'll not hurry back.

We booked one night as we wanted to walk three hills in the Cheviots. First camping in van since lockdown. Fantastic site, friendly and helpful staff. Felt very safe in terms of Covid-19. Clear and consistent messaging and cleaning/sanitisation. There seemed to be many camping units but very quiet and facilities never felt under pressure. Highly recommend this site, shop was lovely too.

My partner and I stayed in a pod which had a small heater, charging points, a table and chairs and lights. The site is well equipped with clean toilets and showers, a kitchen and lounge area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We were a short walk to Bellingham and Hareshaw Linn. Would definitely stay again!

A beautifully run site. As clean and tidy as you would expect from the CCC sites, but with lovely touches. Checkin was friendly and informative (some club sites can be run fairly harshly). I was allowed to take my pick of pitches on pristine grass. The toilets are excellent; the showers hot and modern, with 8(!) hooks, and there’s even Radio 2 playing over speakers. There’s a full amenities block, opposite a building housing pool and ping pong tables. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with two cookers, microwave, kettle, toasters, and a comprehensive selection of pans, cutlery and crockery. Best of all is a comfy lounge with TV and armchairs. The info brochure is the best I’ve seen, it even tells you which way to point your tv aerial. Bellingham, with a large selection of shops and two pubs (one of them very much of a locals pub with no real ales, if you can hold your breath as you wade through the smokers at the doorway) is a 20 walk, and a 5* restaurant just out of town. Very strongly recommended.

Enjoy all CC sites but what a wee find this one was. The couple running it could not have been nicer, friendly, kind and very informative of the area. Nothing was too.much trouble. My Friend and two children were in a caravan and I was in one of their pods. The pod was clean, comfortable with picnic bench, table chairs, clothes dryer and heater inside with electric sockets. Site was very clean, well looked after and the shop was well stocked. Toilet and shower block excellent. Clean, spacious and modern, powerful hot showers with plenty of room. Kids had a Great time on the play park and on the many walks surrounding the site. Would definitely recommend and will certain only be 're visiting!!-Thank You!

Beautifully run site in a beautiful location - a really peaceful and enjoyable week with lots to do in easy reach, but also a lovely spot to just chill out and enjoy the nature among the trees. Friendly and informative owners made the stay a pleasure. Radio 2 in the toilets, commitment to care of the environment and free guided walk cards a bonus!

As a family who has become part of the ccc we have booked lots of weekends away in our roof tent. Since booking these trips we have purchased a caravan. Having called the site to see if we could switch the pitch to a caravan site, they could not have been anymore helpful. They changed our pitch and advised us of the best way to get to the site from home. I called the site back to ask if there were any family friendly cycle rides or would we need to bring the bike rack along too? They were very informative as to what was around and where to head with the children to stay off the roads. Due to terrible winds we didn’t get to ride but did take a short journey into Bellingham and visited the shops and had a lovely meal in an establishment. All in all would definitely return in the hope of better weather which no one can predict.
