We were recommended the Cheviot by a friend that lives locally, so we stopped by for some lunch on a Thursday. It was quite quiet, which you'd expect in early Feb during the week, the service was good and there were some good choices on the menu, I went for the Mexican spicy

on our back from Kielder we stopped off here after recommendation from another pub. We had our dog with us and wanted lunch after a walk, it was just after 2 and they let us order and dogs were welcome in bar end, where there was a few. The lunch was lovely, plentiful and the

A really enjoyable stay over two nights in January. Really welcoming and witty staff and a proper mix of locals and visitors in the bar., creating a great atmosphere. Located in the middle of the Main Street (essentially the only street) in Bellingham so it feels in the heart of

This was a return visit and, although we had another enjoyable stay at this lovely country inn, it wasn’t quite as good as our visit earlier in the year. The first blip occurred when I rang the night before out stay, just to check that my friend and I had been allocated a twin

You can park anywhere on the street or at the side of the Hotel and all parking is free. There is no actual car park nearby.

Hi there, we loved our stay at The Cheviot, but in all honesty you might be better elsewhere! I have a good knowledge of MS as I was the secretary of our local MS support branch for over 25yrs and therefore am aware of access, walking etc; areas of difficulty. There is no on-site parking, and it's a case of just parking as near to the pub/hotel as you can. The actual approach to the door although relatively short is quite steep, and once inside most of the floors are very uneven (very old pub) All accommodation is upstairs, and there is no lift. As I said....we had a most enjoyable stay in a lovely room! The staff and the food were superb......but I really feel any difficulty in walking could pose a problem.

"Room in ghe old post office was great. Overlooked the main street which is very quiet at night and not busy during the day."
"Room 9 in the old post office."
"Room 9 was good. Worth having to cross the road to get to the hotel."
"If booking sites suggest there is only a twin room left but you want a double, contact the hotel directly,as they arranged our room to suit."
"Some rooms over the road, as mentioned"
