Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely big light and airy room. Great breakfast and really friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again, and the fact that you can take dogs is a bonus. Good place to base yourself for walks along the coast and The cliff House is a stones throw away and does lovely food.

I don't know how you can write a negative review about the Waterside Guest house. A really first Class B&B. Sylvie welcomed us with open arms. Lovely room (The Garden Room) on the ground floor. In the summer must be lovely to sit outside in the court yard. Will we return, of course. Thank you Sylvie for a lovely weekend.

Lovely guest house overlooking the sea. We stayed 2 nights over August bank holiday weekend. We had a nice room with sea view. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice. All staff are really nice, and Sylvie the host is very welcoming and always happy to chat and recommend places to go. Lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. We had a small dog with us, and we felt he was very welcome. I booked through Expedia and had not finished my review thought id do it later, but they uploaded it as 2 stars and Terrible. Please if you have read this as no review was uploaded it is totally wrong. This Guest house is one of the best we have stayed and will do again it is worth the 5 Stars. And if you get chance give it a visit.

Lovely stay at Watersedge for a work trip! Sylvie was so warm and welcoming as soon as I arrived and made me feel so at home after a busy day 🥰 very peaceful, sunset walks on your doorstep, comfy bed and yummy breakfast - even accommodated for me with vegan options. Hope to see you again next time ☺️

It was our first visit to watersedge guest house and we couldn’t have asked for more. Sylvie was very welcoming and friendly, she made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing stay. Her breakfast is probably the best we’ve ever had, lots of options to choose from. Thank you for a great stay.

Relaxing couple of days at this friendly guest house. Sylvie and Alan are the perfect hosts. A home from home atmosphere. We stayed here a few years ago and were welcomed back. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Served by the lovely Alison who couldn’t do enough to help everyone. Our room was of a good size. It was clean, tidy and well equipped with en-suite shower room. The bed was huge and very comfy. Would recommend highly. We will be back

What a gem. Unbelievable hospitality from Sylvie and Alan. Just loved this place. They really make you feel at home. Take aways are encouraged to be eaten in the dining room, so much nicer than having to eat in your room. Every room has its own TV but there is also a communal TV for sporting events, so great. Have to mention this is the cleanest place I’ve stayed in. I always bring my own cleaning products to clean the cupboards and drawers which are usually filthy wherever I go. Not this place, they were spotless. Also have to mention the delightful Lionel the parrot. Amazing stay, can’t wait to go back

This is our second stay having also stayed last summer in the same family room. We as with last time absolutely loved our stay, Sylvie and Alan and their staff are all so welcoming and the guest house is immaculate and there is such a sense of pride, you just have to look at all the lovely ‘beach themed’ decorations around the guest house and in the rooms, and always a lovely breakfast, even Lilly our Labrador got a sausage both mornings! Just fabulous and we hope to return again next year. Thanks again Alan and Sylvie xx
