Well ! Where do I start. After much research booked for Afternoon Tea. We were not disappointed., Reception greeted us as though we were long long friends and shown into “ The Library “ which was a private room just for the 3 of us . Met by a log fire , beautiful dressed table and chairs so comfortable we didn’t want to leave . Beautiful views of the garden. Drinks served and didn’t wait for the food to arrive . The sandwiches arrived in 3 tiers and the hostess took her time to explain the tiers . Cakes arrived and wow! Foods were all homemade , fresh and to perfection. Even the chef came out to see us Went to pay and even had a nice chat with the Receptionist! One of my relatives has had Afternoon Tea at The Ritz but said this outdone the Ritz !! Food was plentiful, couldn’t eat all so took home ! Excellent value for money and so recommended. …

Stayed for one night, as we were attending a wedding reception at the hotel. The old bit of the hotel is really lovely, but most of the rooms are in modern blocks. Our ground floor room was very cold, the double bed was pushed up against the wall, and the mattress was rock hard. I did not sleep well and was disappointed with the room as it was expensive. On a positive note, the room was very clean and quiet. The staff were all very pleasant and the breakfast was very good.

Stunning hotel! Staff are brilliant all around! Monica and Denna at reception are so accommodating and welcoming! Would highly recommend for business and events! The food is absolutely beautiful and the chefs are so friendly! Service at the bar is excellent! Jake and Louis are very good at their job!

We had our wedding here on 27th October. It was better than I could have hoped for. Most of my guests stayed 2 nights. We all ate the night before with high compliments of the food. Then the day itself. Getting married at 4pm. And I was so looked after. Housekeeping knocked to ensure I had everything I needed. Amanda was undoubtedly awesome and a massive credit to this hotel. But so were the whole team. Everyone was friendly, helpful, kind and made everything go so smoothly. We cannot thank all the staff behind the scenes and on the front line enough! Our day was perfect. I held a baby shower at Stifford Hall hotel at the end of October and I can't recommend the venue enough. We had 26 guest in attendance and had booked afternoon tea. Two of the guests had dietary requirements and they were provided separate afternoon tea towers and the communication before and on the day to make sure there was no cross contamination was great. The room was laid out beautifully and the package I booked included chair covers which added to the wow factor. All the staff were fantastic and extremely helpful, continuously topping up the tea and coffee and checking if we needed anything further. I booked the room with Joanne through the events team and she could not of been more helpful, before, during and even after the event to make sure it went perfectly. Don’t use unless you want rude reception and slow service! Room key wouldn’t work every time we left room and walk was not close to reception infact other end of building. Told, “ use another hotel that uses keys and had we Complained about lack of drink glasses? they get broken”. Replace them from stock!!!! Service was so slow forgot our starters and still eating at 10pm from 7:30 table! Complimentary drink but didn’t make up for service. Breakfast was really nice though. Rooms are old and tired with mould / discoloured shower area. Hotel itself is nice to look at and bar/ restaurant decor nice.

After a beautiful wedding, came a great stay at Stifford with a very spacious room. We then had a family & friends breakfast in the morning and the setting was just perfect. Also have to highlight Amanda who was a massive help with the big day itself and helped to get all the details for the breakfast sorted too. Thank you!

Very disappointed with our room and the relevant response from management . We had no working shower and was advised no spare rooms as fully booked so the complaint fell on deaf ears. We will never stay here again and wouldn't recommend it yo anyone.

I am sorry that you experienced an issue with the water pressure and since receiving your email our maintenance team have addressed the issue and I would like to apologise for the inconvenience this caused. On further investigation our reception staff clearly recall you mentioning the issue on check-out which unfortunately we were not given the opportunity to address, in normal circumstances a team member would have visited the room to address the issue or an alternative room would have been allocated to ensure your satisfaction. I stayed at Stifford Hall for a wedding that was taking place elsewhere. The staff at Stifford could not have been more helpful or accommodating! Amanda in particular was absolutely AMAZING and helped with things to do with the wedding that she really didn’t need to, but was still happy and willing to be there to make sure we had everything that we required. 100 of the wedding party ascended on Stifford Hall for a breakfast the morning after the wedding and Amanda and the team did a great job of making sure that all of our needs were met. Exceptional customer service and care, all round a lovely stay! Thank you to everyone, especially Amanda for being so brilliant!
