Firstly The Greyhound is a Pub with accommodation rather than a Hotel. Stayed for one night whilst sampling some of the treasures of the Derbyshire Peak District. On arrival although they had confirmation of our booking there appeared to be some confusion about which room and whether we had already paid, but after a few minutes and after search for...

The best things about the Greyhound is location and the photo. The whole interior needs a refresh, even a new coat of paint would be an improvement. The dining area has damp in the walls (we found this at breakfast as there was no food available in the evening). Our 'superior' room had peeling wallpaper with sticky tape trying to...

A hotel that automatically puts a smile on your face. There is history with this hotel and it is worthwhile being a part of it, even for a small amount of time that I had been there. I would rate this hotel to even travel from Cornwall to Cromford for a long weekend break.

We were going through Cromford on a Sunday on our way home, we stopped off for Sunday Lunch £6.50 for a Beef dinner, which came quickly with a nice friendly waitress, who even brought our drinks over to us. I had the vegetable casserole, which as lovely. we were only passing through, but good food at very reasonable price.

Really disliked our stay in this hotel. As there was numerous problems. In both bathroom and bedroom. Such as; the bathroom ceiling was leaking and to protect the damage they covered it up with duct tape, highly unprofessional especially for highly established place like the greyhound. Also there was lots of mould which gathered up in several places such as...

Spent three nights here, very spacious, clean and comfortable room. Excellent cooked breakfast, altogether very good value. Cromford is very interesting in it's own right, also as a good centre for exploring further afield.

Some of the cutlery was filthy. The food tasted horrible, I couldn;t eat very much. I informed the bar staff of my dissatisfaction (they could see I had hardly touched my food). I was offered a free drink (I didn't have the time or the inclination to stay). My husband asked for a refund but the bar-man said he didn't...

the staff were friendly enough but the food was awful. We ordered chicken burgers in a bap with salad and chips. the chicken was tough and the salad was indifferent. Actually the chips were quite nice. I caught a glimpse of the kitchen as I was putting my coat on - I wasn't impressed by the standard - there was...

This hotel is very friendly and very welcoming, staff are very accomadating, We went for the superhero weekend in Bakewell .. We had out 3 grandsons with us. Everyone was great with them and bent over board for them. The hotel is having a face lift which is much needed, but a friendly atmosphere and the lovely people who run...

Me and my cousin visited Cromford for a week, a lovely place with lots of history :) The hotel itself has nice decor, we were happy with our room, the beds were really comfy and the bathroom was nice. The Sunday dinner was nice, so was the cooked breakfast. We loved the fact that they offer smaller portions at a...
