Just returned from a 7-day stay at this beautiful park with magnificent sea views. We saw all weather from storms, strong wind and fog to blissful sunshine. Be careful if you have an awning as being on top of a cliff can make for a very noisy restless night if the wind picks up. Fortunately our awning didn’t blow away or get damaged, but we saw some that did get a battering.

Not a lot to do as we expected, so a car is a must, especially at the moment with the onsite shop being shut. Make sure you take provisions with you! We were surprised that we couldn’t even get an ice cream or milk on site...understandably Covid restrictions are in place but if you’re going to open the site safely, surely the shop could be opened safely too?

There is contactless check in in place, although the reception is open from 9.30 to around 4.30pm. It would have been nice to have received a quick socially distanced visit on arrival to make sure all was ok and to provide key information. Most is included in the emailed welcome pack, but not all.

A pizza van visits on Wednesdays and Saturdays but we weren’t aware you had to pre-book, so weren’t able to get a pizza as planned on the Wednesday. Shame this information hadn’t been included in the welcome pack or made available to us on arrival.

Although the shower block was fairly modern, the shower pressure was poor and 6 out of 7 days the showers were dirty. Lots of hair and dirt on the floor from previous users. The showers were cleaned but perhaps not frequently enough, especially in the light of Covid-19. We would have been quite willing to mop the shower out and spray with sanitiser before and after use to try and maintain high standards of cleanliness if provisions were available. Perhaps something that could be considered to make the user feel safer and more confident to use the amenities?

All considered however, we had a lovely relaxing stay. Lovely coastal walk right on the doorstep. We also visited Strumble Head, Newport, took a boat out dolphin spotting in New Quay and went for a lovely long walk on Newgale beach. All most enjoyable.

Thank you for your balanced review and very generous rating considering the negatives you have pointed out. Seriously, thank you! We struggled with the decision to open the shop or not but given the small floor area and access for the volume of people we considered this just too big a risk. You should have been sent details of a local store however who would take telephone orders and we could bring in the following day for you? This takes me your comments about the information provided, in particular the pizza van. We're really sorry if we have missed anything and are looking into this, including your comments about a post arrival visit to prevent it in future. It's been quite a challenge to change everything and get information across to all of our guests and unfortunately there have been a few gaps for which we really are sorry. The facilities are cleaned three times a day which includes spraying with disinfectant fogging machines to minimise the risk of any virus or other transmission as we take guest safety very seriously. We do however note your comments on leaving some cleaning equipment in there for guest use as they do get such heavy use at peak times that they can look like we havent been in there within an hour of us cleaning them. We do hope that none of the above has put you off staying with us in future and once again would like to thank you for your constructive feedback. It really is appreciated.

We took advantage of being able to stay away within Wales before the full nation was allowed to post lockdown. The caravan was easy to find and instructions for key pick up were emailed prior to making the journey.
The resort is signposted from the A487 and is along to the end of a lane in an isolated location on the coastal path, which I personally liked. The view out over Fishguard / Cardigan Bay and the Irish Sea is stunning as are the walks along the coast in either direction. One of the highlights is being able to watch the ferry from Rosslare arriving and the local beaches are superb - clean, well signposted, but crucially a well kept secret as they are secluded and quiet with no real facilities.
The caravan we stayed in was well prepared and had excellent and adequate self catering facilities. Unfortunately, due to the virus restrictions, the shop was closed and there was limited access to reception, although to their credit, the staff rang on the first morning to check to see if there were any issues and it was also possible to go and see them in the office if necessary.
We had a minor issue with the caravan which required someone to rectify - done almost immediately and without fuss, which I was extremely pleased about given the situation with social distancing etc. Well done.
There weren't any attractions or pubs etc open due to virus restrictions, but we just wanted a change of scenery so we were happy with this. We intend to return when things do reopen and spend more time looking around the area, but this trip was still worth it. I would recommend this resort very highly.

Hi there, thank you for this review, sounds like a much needed break and change of scenery, we are ever so pleased you chose Fishguard Bay to do this! Sounds like a relaxing stay, and fantastic you got to watch the ferry, its lovely to be back at the resort ourselves after being in lockdown to see it again too, we have missed it! We are ever so sorry that we have been unable to reopen the shop just yet, and that reception is limited somewhat with the face to face contact, we cannot wait until we can do everything as usual again! I am sure, that when you are with us next time there will be lots more open in the area for you to enjoy! Thank you once again, we look forward to seeing you soon, it was lovely to have you with us.

We stayed in Needle Rock lodge it was of an excellent standard very clean everything we needed comfortable beds even a dishwasher hot tub was great and checked daily by a staff member.
The location was exceptional we have stayed in a lot of lodges in the west of the country but this had the best ever view over looking the sea had a great sunset rest of week was cloudy.
There is lots to do nearby StDavids was lovely nice pub called The Bishop, Solva was nice and the boat trip from Cardigan Bay was great to see the dolphins.
The site was clean and tidy, small playground for children, the park seemed full but was still so quiet and peaceful. The staff I spoke to or met were very nice and helpful
All in all I would definitely recommend this park

Lovely quiet site on the North Pembrokeshire coast with very friendly staff
The lodge was outstanding, very high quality fittings, clean and warm with magnificent coastal views.
A wraparound decking was an added bonus with our 2 small dogs staying with us.
We were able to use the hot tub every day even with the poor weather and it was checked a couple of times a day by attentive and unobtrusive staff to ensure all working ok.
The only reason this is not a five star review is that the mattress on the bed in the master bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable and neither myself or wife slept very well, which was a shame because everything else about our holiday was outstanding

Hello there, thank you for taking the time to write us a review on your stay. Thank you for your comments on your lodge, the lodges really are beautiful. It is great to hear you were able to use the hot tub every day, it can be great in most weathers! We would like to deeply apologise that you felt you could not sleep very well due to the mattress in the accommodation, I must say we have not had any other feedback regarding this specific mattress, but i can assure you we will most definitely be looking into this. We are so pleased you had such a great time with us, and we really so look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Many thanks.

We have just returned from our Mon- Fri stay at Fishguard Bay Resort and it was wonderful!
We stayed at Plas Bach lodge with our two dogs who had the best time too. The view from the lodge was incredible- we would love to come back in summer as we had rubbish weather this week. Such a stunning site! The welcome pack when we arrived was the best we have ever had and we have stayed at lots of lodges in the past - it was a really great touch.
We especially loved that the terrace area was gated meaning it was really safe for the dogs. The hot tub was absolutely fantastic! The lodge was very well equipped although next time we would bring board games, hand wash, dressing gowns and blanket/cushions for the sofa as these were not included(maybe because of covid).
On Wednesday evening, we had amazing pizza from the pizza van on the site. It was so, so good and very reasonable.
We also visited the dog friendly Golden Lion for dinner in Newport which was brilliant.
The first day and a half we had an issue with the wifi code which was a bit frustrating but Jess was really helpful and sorted out a new code in the end.
We were disappointed that we couldn’t check in until 6pm Monday which was pitch black and then had to check out at 9am in the pouring rain on Friday, we feel like we only had 3 days at the lodge but we are assuming this is because of covid so we would happily return in the future as long as the check in and out times are a bit better.
Overall, a fantastic holiday with our dogs! We loved exploring the area.

Hello! thank you ever so much for your review on your stay with us in the beautiful Plas Bach lodge! So pleased you and your dogs had such a great holiday, such a shame about the weather! We are glad you enjoyed the welcome hamper too. We have had to take many items away from the lodges such as extra cushions, ornaments etc, due to covid, but we are really hopeful to pop some of these bits back in when this is all over. Fantastic that you got to try some of the Pizza, it is delicious - as is the Golden Lion in Newport! We apologise so much for the issues with the wifi, but we are so pleased we were able to rectify this for you. Thank you once again, and we as a whole team are so grateful for your review, and ever so happy you enjoyed your stay and explored the area! We really hope to see you again soon! Best wishes.

We were 3 walkers on day 12 of the coastal path and booked this site as a treat as it says there are state of the art laundry facilities on site. However, when we arrived we were informed they were closed for the season however this was not mentioned in the ore arrival email.

There was also no hand sanitising station anywhere to be seen in or around any of the male or female toilets and showers. There was a one way system in place and certain doors had been wedged open but you still need to touch the shower and toilet doors to open, close and lock them. Every other campsite we have been to even the most basic has had an abundance of sanitising stations.

Please accept our apologies if our communications failed in informing you of the launderette closure. We have had to do this for the current season to aid our housekeeping team who are using it to reduce contact inside the building. This should have been clearly communicated in the welcome email prior to your arrival. We are also sorry about the lack of hand sanitizing stations at the facility block. Our assessment being that there are sinks with soap and water available in these areas to wash hands instead. We have since ordered several units to be installed to give an alternative choice to sanitize instead. We do clean the facilities three times per day and this also includes spraying them with disinfectant fogging machines each time to reduce the risk of any virus or germs being present. Guest safety is important to us and we are doing everything we can to minimise risk, including taking action on feedback such as this. Once again we are very sorry if the efforts we have made were not good enough on this ocassion.

We were looking to get away as a family just before Christmas, to which we couldn’t have chose a better location. The scenery is the first thing to hit you as you head down the drive, we were lucky enough to have clear sunny days which enabled is to see right down into Fishguard bay.

Due to the brilliant communication and assistance before our arrival we knew exactly where we were staying And how we Would access the lodge.

Although we specifically booked a premium lodge, we were surprised on how well presented the lodge was (even had a Christmas tree in place). With a two and a five year old the whole park felt extremely, peaceful, safe and clean.

Considering the uncertain times we are in at the moment, the stand out thing for me was the response timing of emails! We were obviously concerned on the week leading up, but having emails answered almost instantly was extremely reassuring. All staff we communicated with were brilliant, but the majority was with Courtney and was absolutely amazing!

It is somewhere we would definitely have to try in the summer as we were not anticipating nice beached areas also.

Definitely recommend for anyone thinking of literally getting away!

Thank you for your fantastic review! Wow... I'm so glad that you found the lodge with ease, this is so important to us as things are so different here with contactless check in and can be confusing to some guests. I'm so happy that our staff were quick to respond and I will let Courtney know of her mention, she will be over the moon! We cannot thank you enough for your 5-star review, it means the absolute world to us! I hope you come and visit us again soon.

What can I say other than we really did not want to leave!!

We opted for a contactless check in as we thought we would arrive after 6pm there is no sign or number on the lodge so I had to check at reception to make sure I wasn't breaking into the wrong one.

The lodge was secure with a closing gate and glass panels above waist height around the decking. We were able to park our car to the side of the lodge and charge our car through the main bedroom door. Eden lodge is overlooked especially by the lodge to the left however this just enabled the children to make friends and for the adults to swap places to go etc.

Receptionists are fabulously friendly and helpful and checked in with us via phone and email to make sure everything was ok. Reception has a little shop with essentials including wine and on Wednesday from 5-8pm the Pizza van is outside there. The pizza was delicious!! easy to order and collect, for 4 pizzas and a garlic bread cost £38 payable by card on collection, pricelist and info is on the leaflet in the lodge.

This resort has such breathtaking views even when the weather was a little miserable despite being so exposed we were still able to enjoy the hot tub and nearby walks. The lodge had everything we needed: appliances, cooking utensils, cutlery, hairdryer, iron and even a hoover. There was a dishcloth and sponge with a few dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid so we didn't have to worry about buying these things and there was soap and toilet roll in the bathrooms. There was a lovely little goodies tray with welsh cakes, biscuits and crisps in the kitchen on arrival which the kids devoured. The lodge was clean and spacious enough for the four of us with plenty of storage and a good space between the 2 single beds, there were also plenty of power points and the Wi-Fi worked well. The hot tub was very hot (37.7 ) on the first day of arrival but the temperature was easily lowered and it was a fantastic addition to the lodge especially as you are overlooking the coast. The hot tub checker came round every morning and was friendly, did his job then left without making you feel awkward at all.

There are some swings and a slide by reception where we watched the sunset and the ferry from Goodwick come and go. There is also a launderette, cooking facilities such as microwave aswell as showers and toilets however, we did not use these. The grounds are well kept and clean. There is a couple of areas that appear to be in the process of having work done these are near the camping areas at the bottom and middle of the site on the right but no works were being done at the time we were there and to be honest your eyes tend to look towards the sea rather than anywhere else.

There are plenty of shops and places to eat only a short drive away in each direction and there are lots of things nearby apart from walks and beaches to keep adults and children entertained for the day. To avoid disappointment book in advance!

Wow! What a spectacular review, your words are so lovely and informative for guests wanting to book. I am so pleased that you were happy with all that your lodge had to offer, we do the best we can to make sure everything you need is in the lodge so you don't have to worry about bringing anything else. Eden lodge is absolutely stunning and one, if not, the most popular lodge we have on our resort and you can see why with your above comments. Thank you for your lovely comments regarding the pizza van, the pizzas really are incredible, they are so popular on site. Another thank you for your comments to do with our staff, this is so nice to hear that the reception staff were helpful and could meet your needs. We really hope you come and stay with us again soon!

Stayed at the ‘reef’ which is one of the lodges with a hot tub. Unfortunately didn’t see any staff due to Covid but Jess at reception kept in touch via email to make sure we had settled in and didn’t need anything. The area is lovely and very picturesque, the lodge was spotless, every morning one of the workers came round to clean the hot tub. We was given a welcome pack on arrival with tea, coffee, welsh cakes, chocolate etc which I think was a really nice touch- especially as we had travelled over 5 hours to get there it was nice to have a drink and something to eat without having to unpack our bags first. The room was spacious and had two sofa beds, they weren’t the most comfy but wasn’t a massive problem. The hot tub is very private so you don’t really see your neighbours which was a bonus. The whole grounds of the resort was very nice and clean. The only negative which isn’t fishguard bays fault is the walking trail near the park which overlooks the cliff is pretty narrow to walk on especially if you have dogs. The path is very close to the edge or appeared to be-so be careful if you do decide to go down there. It is worth a walk though for the views! Will definitely consider staying again when next in the area :)

My husband and I just got home from a weeks stay with our 2 dogs. We stayed at ocean breeze and what a beautiful lodge it was! Absolutely spotless, and so spacious. The beds was very comfortable. There was plenty of towels which was so soft and lovely and big. The site was beautiful and very very quiet! Checking in was fab, we had a phone call at midday to say our lodge was ready, and the key was in the key safe. They supplied dish washer tablets, fairy liquid, 2 tea towels, a dish cloth, a scoured and oven mits - I have never had this before! The welcome box was a lovely welcome with goodies for us to enjoy. The whole lodge was well equipped. The hot tub was amazing, and the decking was spacious. Beautiful views of the coastline. We had fish and chips delivered from Gary’s fish & chips goodwick (the number on the welcome pack is wrong - we googled it) and it was delicious! We also had pizza from the horse box on site on the Wednesday and that’s definitely not to be missed! Hot Chilli’s Indian is also delicious! Definitely recommend this site and will absolutely be returning!! Thank you for a beautiful week!

Are taxi’s readily available to and from Fishguard town. Do you have to book them or is there a taxi rank?

Hi, there are only two taxi companies who operate in Fishguard. There is not a taxi rank as only a small town, you would need to call up and pre-book. The taxi numbers are: Fishguard Taxis - 01348 875129 and Tony's Taxi services - 01348 873075.
