A smaller hostel than some of the others, but no less for that. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking ages to describe routes for walks to one of our party, and lending him a book. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The building itself is lovely, being a turreted folly. Eyam is an interesting place, with lots of history...

Hi Victoria, Thankyou for your very informative review. We are pleased that you had such an enjoyable stay with us. We are indeed a little cramped for space both in the Main House and the Coach House outside, along with the self-catering kitchen and hope this did not detract too much from your experience. We look foreward to welcoming you...

I was in the "Bunkhouse" which is separate from the main building. Very neat and tidy 2-bed room, although a little small. It has a sink in the room and the shower and toilet are only a few paces down the hall and shared with only one other room. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The main house is...

Great for walking breaks, nestling on the hillside above the legendary plague village of Eyam. Friendly helpful staff, nice food, decent rooms and facilities. Footpaths virtually from the door to the village or out into the wilds to explore. Great value. Definitely recommended.

My 3 sons and I have just had a very enjoyable stay here. The rooms were clean and spacious. The showers and toilets were plentiful and clean. The food was good (I especially enjoyed breakfast) and the staff were very helpful and efficient. The area around the YH was beautiful and had lots of great activities to keep us busy....

Loved this YHA, location was great and I lived the building. Showers and toilets all good and very clean. Only downside was the very small self catering Kitchen. It was very difficult to cook if there more than 3 people in the kitchen at a time, and a small area to eat in. However really enjoyed the two nights we...

Visited YHA Eyam for 2 nights, with a school residential. What a gem!! Rooms are comfortable, plenty of toilets and showers (which you have to share, but that is to be expected in a hostel) the food available was fantastic and plentiful!! The location is stunning.Perfect place to explore the fascinating village of Eyam and the surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend...

We stayed here for a weekend in June as a party of ten for staff adventure training. The rooms are comfortable and warm, although the bunk beds are a bit creaky if you have to get up in the night. The service is friendly and the cooked breakfasts are excellent. A very good hostel.

Stayed here in a private twin room with my partner. Bunk beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also clean with a hot powerful shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We used the kitchen to make a quick brew in the morning and the facilities seemed to be well stocked, although you have to go outside to an outbuilding...

Stayed with my daughter for two nights. Good base for exploring. Our twin room (bunks) was warm, wc and shower facilities were just across the corridor. Small self catering kitchen (in separate building) was adequate, meals bought at the yha were fine. No unnecessary frills - which is just what we like!

Hi, Thankyou for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found the hostel suitable for your requirements. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This captivating Victorian folly resembles a tiny turreted castle perched on the hillside overlooking historic Eyam. Two thirds of Eyam's population was wiped out during the Great Plague. Trace the tale as you wander around the village, or enjoy the excellent walking around the surrounding White and Dark Peak. Delicious home-cooked meals are available at this fully licensed hostel, a great location for cheap weekend breaks and Peak District activity breaks. ... more   less
