Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My sister found this hotel for us this weekend. It's only a 15 minute drive from Zip world and the location is perfect. The views from our 3rd floor room are stunning. The room was large and for the most part very clean with the best shower I've had in a while. Breakfast was beautiful, locally sourced and cooked to perfection, so too was the coffee (freshly brewed but not for those that don't enjoy a real kick). 10/10. I'm useless with names but the guy that seemed to do absolutely everything & could have done with a bit of help at times was the perfect host. He was very friendly & chatty. He knew alot about the area and was very helpful. There were a few minor things that could improve but easily rectified & this place would easily be worthy of at least another star; There the window frames in our room could do with some attention. They were dirty and one was broke. We came down earlier than planned & understandably had to wait 30mins to be seated as there are only 5 tables in the dining area. Unfortunately our table wasn't wiped down and had the last diners sugar all over it. This wasn't cleaned prior to our breakfast being served, we had to ask for cutlery & our coffee came along with the breakfast, I would have preferred it to come whilst we waited for our cooked breakfast arrived. If there had been 2 people on breakfast service I'm sure it would have gone much smoother. During our stay (arriving at 3 pm) we only saw 1 member of staff until the very end of breakfast (9:45am). Whilst he did brilliantly and is again a wonderful host, he clearly needed some assistance.

We were part of a cycling group of 8 and the hotel were great in accommodating us with various rooms and our bikes. After a wet 8 hour cycle when we arrived at 7pm we found out there was no evening meal option, as the chief wasn't there. I think this might be a common occurrence and it meant we had to get taxis to the local town to a takeaway which cost £30. Double check you can get the evening meal as its really remote. They did let us dry our clothes in their tumble dryer, which was really nice of them. The breakfast was good, but dont expect it to come fast if you are a large group like we were. The hotel is understaffed, but are very hard working. This hotel caters mainly for disabled residents or short stay disabled occupants, so the rooms are all set up should you require these features. It was an interesting stay, thats for sure..

Stayed here for one night before going to Zip World. The hotel was clean but very quiet, which meant there wasn’t much of an atmosphere. We had dinner and breakfast which was good and value for money. There is adequate parking and the hotel is wheelchair accessible. Overall quite basic but has everything you need for a short stay.

The hotel is clean and modern and located in a scenic area. The service is ok and there is reasonable parking right in front of the hotel. The one thing you must avoid is Room 10. The hotel seems to receive deliveries daily from 6-00am and they arrive right next to room 10. Also there is a piece of machinery below room 10 that seems to be switched on at random times and bangs loudly and is accompanied by some sort of high speed fan. If you are looking for a lie in this is probably not the room for you.

What a find - we do not know the area and came upon this lovely hotel completely by mistake. Wow how we have fallen on our feet, it is so very clean and fresh, the staff are very courteous and the food extremely good. The owners should be very proud of the efforts they have made to make everyone so welcome and comfortable. We have been to some of the best hotels in the World and they should take note of what this hotel has to offer.

Set in beautiful countryside, this is a reasonable hotel with good rooms but was a little let down by a dirty toilet in my en-suite (clearly not cleaned after a previous male guest!) and the sound of generators outside my room. Fortunately I was tired so did eventually get off to sleep. Food was ok and staff were keen to please. Ok for a short stay

Our first visit since before Covid. Prior to Covid we regularly visited for Sunday lunch or an evening meal. The service today was excellent (as always), the staff were great and really friendly / helpful. The food was of the highest standard. We have never been disappointed when visiting this lovely place.

I cannot fault our stay at all. We were able to check in very late (after 9pm) with no problems. Our room was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed - the shower was especially lovely. A hot, fresh, perfectly cooked breakfast set me up nicely for our walk up Snowdon. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy the hotel more. Will definitely look to stay again when back in Wales

We booked a room for NY eve, owner called us day before and cancelled our stay due to shortage of staff. When we asked for some kind of moral compensation as we already planned a trip, we had things already packed, the owner just ignored and hid in bushes. I think that’s best example of worst management.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly lady on the reception desk (Sorry can't remember her name), they explained about the covid rules and the meal times. A better parking space was suggested for our motorcycle but as we could see it from our room, we felt it was ok parked in the main car park. The young team members who were dealing with the bar and evening meals, lacked coordination between each other and the guests, more than once we were brought other peoples drinks. But they were polite and friendly.
