A poor welcome, the most uncomfortable beds ever, tatty decor. The evening meal, a Sunday roast, was supposed to come with seasonal vegetables and unlimited Yorkshire pudding, the Yorkshires were not offered and thge seasonal veg was a bowl of reheared ratatouiulle and a bowl of tired looking mashed potato. On ordering a dessert we were given dinner knives and...

Where to begin? The worst hotel we have stayed in for many years. We booked our family room through booking.com, a family room with one double and two single beds. On arrival we were told there were no family rooms available (we have ten year old twins) so would have to have one double and one twin room. The rooms...

Having spent some six hours on the road from Kent, this hotel was like a beacon in the dark to a pair of weary travellers. We were made extremely welcome by the very friendly staff and after a hot meal we settled in to a very comfortable room for a very welcome good nights sleep. Morning found us tucking in...

Hotel is very well placed for exploring Anglesey. We were made very welcome from the moment we entered. The room was modern and comfortable with a huge 40 inch flat screen TV.Only downside for me was that as I have a heart condition which makes it difficult for me to climb stairs, there are no ground floor rooms, and no lifts. However if...

After being astounded by eye-wateringly high prices at the bar (£4.50 for a pint of draught bitter and £2.50 for a small coke 240 miles from London!) we were all delighted by a delicious and abundant three-course meal on a Sunday evening for a very reasonable £12.50. Very friendly staff and good service.

My husband and I have just come back from a great weekend at Carreg Bran. After a hiccup with our room the receptionist could not have been more helpful, the room itself indeed needs an upgrade but the bed was unbelievably comfortable and we had 2 great nights sleep. We had an evening meal which was superb and the staff...

Just rating this after last review disappeared, stopped off for lunch, wish we hadn't. Bar guy did his best. But wasn't nice with one restaurant table being full of cleaning stuff and in full view of the cleaner cleaning the disabled loo with the door wide open. food was awful and poorly presented. I live on Anglesey and I was wholly...

Stayed in room 420 a twin room. The room had damp/mould above the window. The window frame was cracked and damaged and there was piles of discarded building matterials just outside of the window which wasn't very nice to look at. The curtain had a curtain ring missing which meant the curtain was hanging down. The shower curtain was old...

I booked a table for my husband and I having viewed the menu prior to booking and informed that the price was £25 per person. Upon our arrival and viewing the menu I was disappointed to see that the three course meal had gone up to £28 per person. The explanation was that the menu had been amended slightly to...
