Welcome to Brightham House Boutique Bed & Breakfast our Award Winning classic, vintage, chic, boutique home and guest accommodation in the beautiful South Hams, Salcombe, Devon. We are perfectly located to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty and the many beaches. Our B&B is in Malborough, a small vibrant coastal village just outside of Salcombe – the jewel in the South Hams famous for its beaches, sailing and stunning coastline. The whole area has something for everyone and is easily reached. Whether you are coming to walk our stunning coastline path or just chill and spend the days on our lovely sandy beaches you are perfectly placed to enjoy all of these things and lots more besides. You will be greeted by Scott, Alistair and our two dogs Lola & Poppy. We settle you in our relaxed, fun filled yet chilled home.

The nicest , cosiest and luxurious boutique b&b we have ever stayed in. Alistair and Scott are the most incredible hosts one is ever going to encounter. The breakfast is the most delicious and there is such a great selection that you will want to travel there from anywhere in the vicinity, just for breakfast. The first time we’ve visited the Hams and it’s truly a beautifully scenic area with plenty to see. Our stay at Brightham House was the unexpected high point with its ingeniously quirky decor, comfortable bed, extensive and varied breakfast menu and great hosts. Would definitely stay again.

The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, we've never had a such choice, the muesli bircher divine, I've asked for the recipe. But this is just a very small part of our fantastic stay with Scott & Alistair, our room quirky but very well appointed with everything you could possibly want or need We decided to catch the bus into Salcombe so we could enjoy drinks at the pub & Rumtini at Salcombes very own run company, yum. We are already talking about returning next year, the whole experience 1st class, thank you, we loved it.

I've been fortunate enough to have attended quite a few of the pop up Italian tasting evenings over the last couple of years and every time it has been just fantastic. Amazing food, fantastic service and a wonderful ambiance, not to mention the best limoncello ever. Hopefully they will continue in 2024!!

What a fantastic place,Scott & Alistair are the perfect hosts,nothing too much trouble.Also some great local knowledge and recommendations. The beds super comfy and the rooms spotless. We had the most wonderful stay at Brightham House! Gorgeous place, spotlessly clean and one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had (if not the best!!) Their parmesan scrambled eggs are reason enough to visit… It is clear how much pride and love Scott & Alastair have for their bnb and this is reflected in the relaxing, calm, warm environment and amazing decor throughout. If you are visiting the area you MUST stay here. Gutted we didn’t book for longer!! Tash & Alex xx

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Brightham House which is within easy reach of Salcombe & Hope Cove. Scott & Alistair were perfect hosts & extremely knowledgeable regarding the surrounding areas, restaurants etc. The decor throughout the B&B is amazing and totally unique. We stayed in the Garden Room which was beautifully decorated and so comfy. Breakfast was exceptional with so much to choose from & perfectly cooked by Scott and Alistair made sure we had everything we needed & kept us topped up with coffee etc. Would highly recommend a stay & look forward to a return visit. This place is wonderful and relaxing. An ideal spot to explore Salcombe and the surrounding area. Alistair and Scott are the perfect hosts. They are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area, so you can make the most of your time here. Hope Cove is worth the walk or drive.

I couldn’t give this B&B any more praise! It was an absolutely lovely experience from start to finish. Scott and Alistair are wonderful hosts, with a perfect balance of friendly but don’t mither. We stayed in the dog friendly ‘Garden Room’, which was beautiful. They had lovely little touches like leaving a packet of treats for our little dog Hugo, which he loved. And the bed was so comfortable. It was so clean as well! The B&B is very well situated, with Malborough being a lovely place to walk around, and very close to Salcombe. But the showstopper, and the main reason we would definitely stay again, was the breakfast. I had the full English and my husband had the bagel. Both of us said it was the best breakfast we had ever had. Everything was so well thought out and so well seasoned, just wonderful. It’s so lovely to find a dog friendly B&B that is clean, beautiful, with amazing food. Have already recommended to pretty much everyone we know. Wonderful place to spend our little honeymoon.
