Our short break staycation at Soar Mill Cove was absolutely top notch in all areas A huge, spotlessly clean, well appointed room with an equally impressive bathroom and glorious views to wake up to. Had the weather been a little warmer we would have used the patio seating to enjoy the views. Lovely tasty fresh food for both dinner and breakfast all served by friendly staff. The communal areas are very tastefully, elegantly decorated and furnished but nothing about the hotel is stuffy. Children and dogs are made very welcome. We will most definitely return and hopefully stay a little longer next visit to enjoy the hotels facilities.

Me and my other half stayed here last weekend (the weekend before lockdown) and we had a fantastic time! The service was excellent (especially Meropi and Bethan), the food was delicious and not too expensive, the facilities were brilliant and the cleanliness was too a high standard. A newspaper was delivered to my room every morning, we had breakfast in bed twice which was superb, the shower in the room was spotless and functional, and the dogs were made to feel very welcome on top of all of that. They even threw in a free cream tea! Would stay again 100%

Just returned from 4 nights at Soar Mill. We arranged it at short notice and with little to go on but were delighted. Location is spectacular, staff were so friendly, food was great, rooms were clean and comfy and unpretentious and it all just worked. Our 10 year old daughter just can’t understand why we would ever want to go anywhere else on a holiday and even wrote a poem about her stay! Only regret was that we didn’t take our border collie but will do next time. Fantastic place and has its own character and style. If you like walking in wild and natural beauty during the day but good food, relaxing environment and comfort at night, it’s a great place to be. Charger for our electric car was an unexpected bonus but it’s really about being away from where we are from, watching sunsets behind Eddystone Lighthouse from over a wild sea and a beautiful unspoiled cove and lovely staff. Our 10 and 15 year old girls and their 50 something parents just loved it and will be back. Home made house gin is pretty special tools we took a couple of bottles home along with our great memories. Thank you Soar Mill Cove Hotel.

Having had to delay our stay due to COVID 19, we were very pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received. A great hotel in a stunning location that, with the right weather, would be simply magical. The hotel was welcoming even other safety protocols in place. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were a delight to deal with. Our room was simply gorgeous and took advantage of the coastal views. We can’t rate this highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.
