Great cheap campsite. For the price you can't ask for much more, plenty of flat areas to pitch, water, warm showers, toilets. A small shop with enough essentials and food for if you've forgot anything. The two brothers who own it are really helpful and friendly. Il definitely use it again when I'm next down in the area.

"Simply beautiful"

A peaceful well maintained and well though out camping experience.

Super friendly farmer brothers Paul and Jon and Chris a young farmer who all made us feel very welcome, we were shown the baby goats and cow's on arrival luckily which set us off to a great first day! All Covid safe with hand washing and sanitiser provided. We even help feeding the goats one too kids and I loved it ! Dylan my son of 2 and my niece of 13.

Well equipped shop with breakfast items fresh fruit veg milk bread everything camp fires wood they have literally though of every thing and it's all there avaliable to help yourself too. We especially appreciated the freezer to refreeze out ice packs for cool box.

Compost toilets were in shed type buildings very well made quirky with solar powered fairy lights, zero running water eco friendly and again sanitiser provided in dispensers out side. 2-3 toilets in each feild. The showers Ahhhhhhh for me personally made the whole camping experience just perfect again in a shed type building out side, the smell of fresh wood with hot hot running water being all clean and walking back to the tent was pure camping satisfaction if you like the out doors you will love this place.

Camp kitchen for washing up was out side again super quirky large sinks with hot water plenty of drinking water stations and forgot to mention. separate men's urinals areas.

Freedom to camp where you wish with bundles of space amazing for little ones and adults too children's play area under some trees which provided shade on the hot days in one corner was just lovely all the family's were in the area tother.

There own steaks are highly recommended flame grill on the bbq with locally grown tomatoes butter and garlic!!! We eat this alot as, local sausage and all meat in fact was very tasty it's worth ever penny!!! 1 steak feed 2 of us easily.

Located near lots of different beach's and 20 mins drive to a very good shop, the roads are narrow 20mph speed limits. Local shops has everything food wise with Ashbys camping supplies which was also great for gifts and toys for kids. Restaurants were all full defo book in advance if you want to eat at Mill Brook best place but we couldn't get in as was completely for for 1 week solid!

We can't thank you all enough for a wonderful stay we will see you again very soon.

Special mention to Chris the young farmer who checked on us every day and helped with fire wood weather updates and all genral information.

We have stayed here twice in the last 6 months and can't wait to go back! Spacious fields with lovely views, very friendly owners/staff, a useful shop with a fridge/freezer (and ice creams!), large sinks to wash up (with hot water), amazing shower sheds and clean toilet sheds - even a cute little powder room shed 👌🏾😍

Peaceful ( I was there during weekdays for 4 nights), spacious as not too busy, so no queues for facilities, lovely rustic facilities which I love, with fairy lights that come in when it gets dark giving the fields some ambience, great location on a hill top looking over Salcombe and the estuary. Walking distance from the pub in South Pool, a short drive to East Prawle and Gara Rock - beaches and cafes. A freezer for ice packs and a little shop were also very useful. Good friendly vibes. I'm planning my next trip here!

COVID precautions in place, such as hand-sanitiser freely available whenever there was a need to touch anything such as a door or a gate.

We had our first family camping trip to Wilton Farm with our two year old over the late August bank holiday.

As our stay was during the school holidays, we were expecting it to be busy. Although there were a lot of campers, the campsite didn’t feel crowded at all.

We stayed in the family field, which has an earlier curfew than the other fields, ideal if you have little ones who go to sleep early.

At night the campsites toilets and washroom are lit by solar lights giving it a magical feeling.

The composting toilets are clean and don’t smell at all. Disinfectant spray was provided, which was a nice touch. There were showers in every field with plenty of hot water to wash away all the salt and sand after a day on the beach.

There are lots for the kids to do to, with animals to feed, the owner's vintage tractor collection to admire, and a play barn for those rainy days when you don’t want the kids stuck in the tent all day.

There is a well-stocked on-site shop with everything you could need. We bought bacon and milk for breakfast every day. It’s not staffed; you choose your items and leave your money in the tin, so make sure you bring your change!

The campsite is ideally located between Kingsbridge and East Portalmouth, just outside the beautiful village of South Pool with its ford across the creek. It has all tourist locations, such as Salcombe, on its doorstep but is far enough away not to be crowded.

We had a fantastic time and plan to come again next year.

My perfect campsite, wide open spaces, fabulous views, rustic and basic but with a light touch of glamping flair. Hot water to shower and wash up! The compost loos were changed very regularly 😊
The owners are wonderful, the very best type that have a very light touch and don’t make you feel like you’re breaking 300 rules but are absolutely there for you if you need them.
No fuss iceblock swap- in fact no fuss anything! and the shop! 😍
We’ll absolutely go back 😁

This is a great campsite and I would definitely recommend it. It's in a beautiful location. There are two large camping fields. Both have good views of the countryside side, but the lower field (through the first field) has a stunning view of a seaside village. It was quiet when we went and there was plenty of room. The facilities are basic and good. In our field there was a shack with two large sinks with hot water and drinking water, a hut with two showers with warm water, a compostiable loo and urinal area. They're kept well and don't smell. The farm shop is always open, and has great bits and pieces. It works on an honesty box system. You can rent/bring your own camp fires. The farm shop has everything you need for this. The farm is set in a great location. There are stunning walks you can start from the campsite but you can also drive a short way to other brilliant walks and beaches. If you do the local walk to Salcombe, just make sure you ask when high tide is, as one road gets submerged in seawater. The family and everyone working on the farm (Paul, Chris, Ron...) are really friendly, helpful and have created a lovely atmosphere. Thanks for all your advice and making us feel so welcome.

Another lovely stay at Wilton Farm, totally chilled relaxing couple of days. Plenty of pitch space, compost toilets were always clean, showers hot and clean, lovely surrounding countryside views, and views over Salcombe. Nice pub down the road. Nice friendly owners. We highly recommend and will be returning.

I think people should be aware of what they're paying £10 per person per night for... my family and I stayed here last month and it seems the owners are keen to make a quick buck for minimum effort. 2 compost loos which were not emptied frequently enough, 2 cold wash basins, 2 dirty showers in little huts (on departure day my sister discovered a human turd in one of the showers, the owners simply closed the shower instead of dealing with it... people were already having to queue for a shower), and 1 washing up point with a dodgy gas boiler that scalded my hand.
I am appalled that owners can justify charging this much... there's not even anywhere to dispose of rubbish! No charging points, no drying room, and no security measures to stop strangers from rocking up and tent raiding. The "urinal" (pictured) is just an open piss patch. It's no wonder people try and free camp in Devon, with places like this you may as well sleep on the beach and use public loos, which would be more hygienic. Paul and John you need to re-think your prices, and at the very least empty toilets everyday whilst you have so many people using them.
