Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful land and scenery, great facilities and perfect for a family to enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of items to buy from the shop and lovely hosts. We had to leave early because of the thunderstorm during the night but the ground was very tough which meant our tent stayed put. Would definitely visit again! Thank you

We have stayed here twice in the last 6 months and can't wait to go back! Spacious fields with lovely views, very friendly owners/staff, a useful shop with a fridge/freezer (and ice creams!), large sinks to wash up (with hot water), amazing shower sheds and clean toilet sheds - even a cute little powder room shed 👌🏾😍

My current favourite site. Quiet, peaceful, welcoming, relaxed, tucked away. Views of Salcombe. Surrounded by lovely dreamy walks. Handy shop. Safe for children. Dogs on leads welcome. Fire pit hire available. An affordable way to experience the beautiful South Hams, and precious family time. I would warn anyone who is precious about their car’s paintwork that the local narrow roads might not be for you (although we encountered plenty of luxury SUV’s so they weren’t put off!) and very large vehicles and caravans should arrive only in the middle of the night as there is some inevitable reversing up or down steep winding roads to find passing places. This is all part of the charm of the area and I love the roads, just thought others might find this useful.

If you like luxurious facilities then don’t go to Wilton Farm. HOWEVER! If you love a camp site with loads of space, child and dog friendly, lovely helpful owners with no strict rules about groups, fire pits, bbqs and having great fun. Then this is the place for you. The loos are very basic but absolutely fine. The showers were lovely and hot but agin a bit “rustic”. Read the information carefully and you won’t go wrong. This is a fab camp site.

We had a wonderful August Bank holiday weekend camping at Wilton Farm. This a wonderful simple campsite that offers space, beautiful views, hot water powered by solar and was easy to book. We enjoyed the simplicity of the surroundings and venue. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Fantastic Laid back site. Great for getting away from busy noisy sites. Basic showers and toilets but do the job. Location good for local beaches but roads are narrow so cars or small vans only.. wide open spaces for kids to run around and most abide by 10pm noise curfew. We will be back

Such a beautiful location and a lovely quiet campsite. The tiny shop sells everything you might need and the toilets and showers were kept clean and tidy. If we come back to the area we will definitely return, wish more campsites were like this 😊

I pitched in the bottom field and up against the northern side of the 15ft hedge running east west to protect me from Storm Bessie expected over night - so although theoretically exposed, there’s room to pitch for protection if needed. The shower shed produced an excellent stream of hot water and I felt clean enough to venture through the bottom gate and down the Lane to the excellent Millbrook Inn for rehydration and food - definitely also worth he visit. Clearly south Devon are trusting folks expecting the best out of people - and that shows with the Wilton Farm set-up, where I paid for my pitch using envelope and post-box honesty system; I also bought freshly laid farms own eggs and milk from the on-site farm shop for a healthy-ish breakfast; pretty darned idyllic spot and would recommend it to anyone
