I stay in this hotel 2 or 3 times a year as near friends. Great location and usually feel I get value for money but not this time, price was halved 2 days after I booked the hotel which upset me as the booking was none refundable.

Stopover for family event so did not use leisure facilities. All staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Was excellent value - as deal through Travelzoo. Breakfast for two £5 - brilliant. Towels clean but a little tired. Room very good.

Not the best stay the service was poor. The bathroom was grubby and the room too hot. No hot water on the Sunday morning. Don't like the self service check in too impersonal. There was not enough staff anywhere

A spa hotel should be relaxing; this was not. Too noisy - from over-large TV's and a noisy function. New arrival arrangements poor - no proper reception desk. No way of calling reception from the room. Hassled before hand by emails offering check in apps and upgrades. Poor vegetarian food choices in restaurant and for hot breakfast.

Great value for money. Food in the restaurant is great but service is a bit slow. Long slightly confusing walk to our room (312) which gave us a laugh. Staff were lovely especially on reception. Avoid the spa before 7 unless you have children as it's uaws for lessons and mostly roped off.

Took advantage of the January sale. Family room was only £25 for the night and £5 for breakfast (for 2 adults). Amazing value for money at this price. The room plus bathroom was clean, spacious and modern. 2 single beds under the main bed (which was huge and v.comfortable) and housekeeping came and made a bed up as requested very...

Overall it was good. Leisure facilities were good and clean. Room was big and comfortable bed. We were in a club room and only had a coffee machine. It would have been nice to have a kettle too to make a proper cup of tea as it wasn't very nice out of the coffee machine. Room was clean and toiletries...

Spent two nights here taking advantage of the Village January sale. Crazy prices! Friendly, helpful staff, room clean and comfortable, huge television. Excellent breakfast catering for all tastes. Good bus links to the city. Nottingham is a very interesting city with beautiful architecture. A very enjoyable trip.

Came here two years ago, same weekend. Hotel a bit shabbier but staff are what make this hotel great. Never been in a room so far from reception. Room facilities ok but on ground floor right next to car parking spaces and nothing except blind at window which compromised privacy. Also room very dark due to lack of lights. Floor...

For £40 we stayed in a Club Room with breakfast - what a bargain. The room was quite small however the bed was huge! It was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in whilst on holiday. My partner was astonded at the large size of the TV and wanted to take it home. We had difficulty...
