Detailed Reviews
We cannot recommend Staverton Hall B&B enough! As a bride getting ready for my wedding at Dodford Manor on 09/11, it was truly the best choice. I stayed the night before and the night of the wedding, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place. Rupert and Serena went above and beyond to make everything seamless. They were incredibly accommodating with check-in and check-out times, even with guests coming and going throughout the stay.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we were spoiled with tea, coffee, and cakes. They even chilled our wine and kept bringing it out for us when we ran out—such thoughtful and attentive hosts! Their warm hospitality, paired with the stunning home and beautiful views, made the experience unforgettable.
We’ll definitely be back to relive the magic at Staverton Hall. Thank you, Rupert and Serena, for making our wedding stay so special!
Love,
Patrick, Saskia, and all our guests

I stayed with my mum, aunty and bridesmaids for the night before my wedding and got ready on the following morning at Staverton Hall. Rupert and Serena were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us! Brownies and tea awaited us on arrival and a lovely cooked breakfast was served as we got ready in the morning. All rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds were very comfy - a good night's sleep. Hair and makeup artists were able to arrive early on the morning of the wedding which made for a smooth morning.
The venue was the perfect setting for the morning of my wedding!

We booked this B&B for my bridal party and family over my wedding weekend at a nearby venue. It was absolutely perfect for our needs, providing comfortable beds to sleep in and a great relaxing space for us all to get ready together the morning of the wedding. Rupert and Serena could not do enough for us, providing a lovely tea and cake on arrival and a delicious breakfast individual to each of us. They were so easy to contact prior to our stay and more than happy to answer any questions. The accommodation itself provides the perfect backdrop for pictures and I cannot recommend it to future brides enough.

We had a nearby wedding to attend. We arrived later than expected but Serena greeted us and was very welcoming.
The room was so beautiful and well equipped. We slept well and woke to a stunning view of the countryside. Rupert greeted us at breakfast which I must say was delicious. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Staverton Hall.

Stayed here for business was nice to see that the hotel reception had been refurbished along with the bar area
But the rooms are still average - it was disappointing to find long hairs in the bath so it showed the room had not been cleaned correctly
The restaurant was poor and quality of food was disappointing - the drinking glasses where dirty and more so the carved style Buffett for substandard

I noticed that your other two Staverton reviews are for Staverton Estate (previously called Staverton Park) and wonder if this was meant for them? We are a small B&B close to the hotel with no reception or bar area, let alone a restaurant / buffet! best wishes Serena

Beautiful house in a wonderful setting with glorious views.
Rupert and Serena were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
Located in a very pretty little village with The Countryman pub less than 10 minutes walk away where the meal, booked for us by our hosts, was as excellent as all the other aspects of our stay.
Stanley the dog was also lovely and extremely friendly.
So much to see in the area that it might need another stay to take in more of the sights.
Thoroughly recommended.

Staverton Hall is listed as a B&B, but that doesn't prepare you for the very special service and facilities at Staverton Hall, which put it a long way above what you would normally expect from a B&B. We stayed as part of a group comprising four adults and four children. We were very comfortably housed in a self-contained section of the house which has three bedrooms (there is a fourth available if necessary).
Rupert and Serena's friendly and informal hospitality was just right, and it worked perfectly for our kids. While the grown ups enjoyed a sundowner, the kids jumped on the trampoline and played football in the large garden. Although we didn't use it, there is also an outdoor pool available. At our request, Serena cooked us a wonderful three-course dinner which we enjoyed while the kids slept upstairs. Next morning, the cooked breakfast was perfectly done (in my view, this is the acid test - it is a meal so often cooked badly).
The house itself is lovely, but what really makes this place are the hosts who were unfailingly helpful and adaptable to our needs. Highly recommended.

I was lucky to have been able to stay at Staverton Hall on a business trip. The welcome received on arrival was so warm it was like visiting old friends and the house is just stunning.
Rupert and his lovely wife (oh and the most adorable dog ever!) really have got it spot on, the rooms are warm and incredibly comfortable and very well appointed. I had the best nights sleep away from home I think I have ever had, I truly can't wait to be able to stay again.
But there are 2 true highlights of the stay, firstly the view when you open the curtains in the morning, worthy of a Constable water colour and second being the breakfast. The cooked breakfast was amongst one of the nicest I have had in a very long time.
I loved my stay at Staverton Hall and cannot recommend it enough.

What a beautiful little spot! We came for a very quick stay as friends were getting married close by, and we wish we could have stayed longer. On arrival we were greeted by horses, sheep, world's friendliest doggy Stanley, and Mr B&B himself of course. Straight away we could see that the house is very well looked after, very clean and tidy. We were allocated to the private annex with the double bedroom. The room was very cute and made us feel homey. The bed was super comfy, just the way we like it, firm mattress with fluffy pillows and a snuggly duvet. There is some cupboard space, tv, tea and coffee making facilities, etc. The view from the window was breathtaking; sheep, fields, fields, fields and more fields. The bathroom was pretty big with good size bath tub; all very well appointed. The breakfast was served in the lovely siting/dining room with cosy sofas, fire place and huge windows with the view to the fields. The full English was delicious and it was served with cereals, yoghurt, toast, coffee and orange juice. A huge thank you to Rupert and Serena for looking after us. We shall be back!

Like others we stayed two nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. This is a family home, professionally run as a B & B but Serena & Rupert have the ability to make you feel like guests rather than clients. The house and rooms are lovely and the breakfast was exceptional from the freshly prepared fruit through to an excellent full English platter and home-made preserves. The view from our bedroom and the dining room is breathtaking and we will return to explore the area which we regrettably did not have time to visit. Thank you for the perfect start to our holiday.
