Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved everything about Bingham Townhouse - from practicalities like the large car park and the lift to the first floor to the lovely staff, very comfortable room and excellent breakfast (highly recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the perfect sausage!). Also very conveniently situated. Would definitely stay again.

I haven’t actually stayed here. What I have done is to inadvertently inconvenience this hotel by making two separate bookings that, due to personal circumstances, I’ve had to cancel both. Angela, and Renata, never met either, only emailed, were both a joy to behold. Thoughtful, considerate, and thoroughly charming. I have no doubts whatsoever that they reflect the hotel standards, and that of the restaurant. Rest assured, I will be making concerted efforts to stay at this hotel, as soon as is practicable, in 2024. Thank you so much.

I highly recommend this hotel ,Because from the moment you enter the hotel you are made welcome with a warm and friendly greeting, from all the staff .The rooms are tastefully decorated ,The beds are sooo comfortable and the rooms are spotlessly clean, tea and coffee filled everyday. The food is delicious great choice at breakfast.i really felt it was my home from home. If you find anything not to your liking ( not that I did) I know the staff will go out of their way to solve any issues .

Just like to say a big thank you to The Bingham Townhouse Hotel. Nigel K Regan and his team made my mother in law feel at home, she'd travelled all the way from Kyiv. She even said she'd travel to this part of the UK again just so she could stay in The Townhouse Hotel! (not to see me obviously 😂). Your great service made a real difference for us, from booking to room service. Thanks again for making her feel welcome, great job! Thank you from Elena, Alevtina and Andrew x

Stayed here as I was working in Southwell and I have to say I was very impressed. Warm welcome, nicely decorated with a boutique style, and a great Chinese restaurant and gin bar. The room was very comfortable, and I got the impression that they really care about their guests - from the little touches such as the well stocked coffee tray (complete with hot chocolate and biscuits) and the water cooler in the corridor, to the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was also really good, always a bonus to have a smoked salmon option! I have read some of the other reviews and have seen some people complaining about the decoration, including a water stain on the ceiling. My room had had a stained ceiling, clearly there has been a leak but it was dry, I imagine they will seal and paint it soon. This isn't the Premier Inn though, it's a small independent hotel, so I think you have to give them a bit of leeway with these kind of jobs. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Also, a big shout out to the glasses in the restaurant at breakfast. Every single hotel I have ever stayed in have tiny little glasses for your fresh juice in the morning, and it's barely enough for a mouthful! Finally, I have found a place that has proper, normal sized glasses so that I don't have to go back again and again for more juice! Thank you Bingham Townhouse!!

Overnight stay as wedding nearby. Although check in not until 2pm we asked if at all possible if we'd be able to access the room earlier. They had loads of guests in a similar situation and yet by midday had manged to get all 8 rooms ready for these wedding guests. Fantastic. As we weren't going to be in the room much we just booked the small double. Lovely and clean, great tea tray. Although the room and bathroom compact it was perfect for a one night stay. Breakfast was great and staff all really lovely. Couldn't fault it and highly recommend it.

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family. Our only gripe was the bed being too firm for our liking. The room was pretty well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, good WiFi and plenty of usb sockets for chargers etc. Breakfast was fine - full english with tasty sausages and bacon, fruit juices etc etc. Car parking was ok but filled up later in the evening so may be a problem if you arrive late. Would we stay here again - definitely
