We unexpectedly needed somewhere local to stay after storm Henk.
The Bingham Town House is very good value for money, there is so much more choice for breakfast than we expected.
The rooms have everything you need to be very conformable, they have both bath and shower which for me is a plus as you can't always find a room with a bath some hotels only have showers.
Food & atmosphere in the Cantonese restaurant downstairs is excellent which added to the evening making the whole stay most enjoyable.

Just spent a weekend here whilst visiting family in the area. Booked based on previous reviews, I had a slight trepidation when pulling up in the small busy car park but we were greeted by such a friendly and welcoming receptionist, I was instantly won over. I’m so sorry that I didn’t get her name because she was an absolute credit to the business - in fact, every single member of staff we met during our stay was lovely and helpful with nothing being too much trouble.
We stayed in the kingsize room (216) which was cozily tucked away in the eaves. Our bed was SO comfortable and despite having a busy restaurant and bar on site, we heard absolutely nothing and slept like babies. The room was immaculate with plump white bedding and although the en-suite was not the most up to date, it added to the hotel’s charm and was spotless and well stocked with full size bottles of shampoo/shower gel and hand soap. Really appreciated and a thoughtful touch not to have those silly small bottles that never contain enough and don’t lather up!
The coffee and tea tray was well stocked with a great selection plus hot chocolate sachets and tasty biscuits too. Breakfast was a choice of help yourself continental or a full English cooked to order - again, very, very good.
We ate in the Chinese restaurant within the hotel on our first night and can really recommend the food there too. Very tasty and generous portions.
We had such a great stay at The Bingham Townhouse and wish you well deserved success. Hope to be back soon!

Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The owners, Nigel and Pok U, bend over backwards to make their guests welcome and their wonderful staff are hand-picked so as to spread their kindness and efficiency to every part of the business. The bedrooms have recently been lovingly redecorated, many by Nigel himself, and the beds are very comfortable with excellent mattresses and linen. Breakfasts are special here with the local butcher, Clive Lamcaster's award winning sausages and bacon for lovers of a "Full English"!

The Chinese Restaurant, overseen so efficiently by Pok U, who hails from Macau, is a very special part of the hotel, serving an extensive variety of Cantonese and Macanese dishes and is so popular with the locals that it is advisable to book a table at the same time as your room reservation. As for the bar and wine list, Nigel is a connoisseur of of all things alcoholic seen in his superb selections of whisky, gin, spirits, cocktails and beer. If you need a hotel in the Nottingham are, this has to be your first choice. We have been staying here bimonthly for over seven years now and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Nottingham.

We stayed overnight on a trip to area. Parking was good and locaion ideal for a quick walk around market square. Greeted by a very friendly receptionist(think it was Renata?). Our room,15, was spacious, warm and had every convenience, a tray of assorted teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, even a dish for used teabags! The bathroom was spotless with plenty of hot water for a shower or bath and assorted lotions. Ample fluffy towels. Bed, a kingsize, was very comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. Lights were excellent for reading. A full length, ornate mirror, was ideal for checking dress etc. T.V. provided and charging points for USB connections.
We had dinner in the young Sing restaurant. The dining room was decorated for Valnetine's but we could see it normally was a very special place too with beautiful carved wood and 3D murals. Service was first rate and we loved the food choices. In the morning we had a choice of cooked or continental breakfast. We had poached eggs, and very tasty bacon. Again the lady who served us was very pleasant and efficient. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The Bingham Townhouse is ideally located in the centre of Bingham and has its own car park. The hotel is a bit quirky and all the rooms are slightly different but they are very well maintained with very friendly and attentive staff. I have stayed there now 5 or 6 times and have been very comfortable. It may seem a bit odd to have a Chinese restaurant in a traditional English hotel but the food in the Yeung Sing is excellent!

Comfortable room. Really useful to be able to regulate the temperature. Staff were very kind and helpful. It was really helpful not to have to worry about charging my car because you have BP Pulse on site. Breakfast was excellent. It was lovely to stay in a cosy boutique hotel, full of character, situated in the middle of a small market town with a great history, rather than in a multi-story edifice next to a motorway.

My pooch and I stayed for one night midweek whilst attending the Spectacle Of Light event at Belvoir Castle. What a lovely little find. And dog friendly too which is my main priority. Mollie was made a fuss of on arrival and they allowed her into breakfast (not on carpeted area) which I wasn’t expecting so was very pleased. Paid for a double with small shower in the eves but was upgraded to a standard double at no extra cost. Another nice gesture. Room spotless and very comfortable. Didn’t use the restaurant but gets really good reviews, and the bar area is plush and cozy. By accident I saw it had been on Four In A Bed after I had booked it so watched with interest. One rival B&B owner mentioned upgrading the tea tray and they certainly have. Much better than what I have had in larger more expensive hotels. The hot chocolate and biscuits were much appreciated. Decent selection of teas too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, all the staff were exceptional and the poached eggs at breakfast were just spot on! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were in the area

Cute little place, excellent breakfast. Very comfy bed. Quiet room so excellent night's sleep. Generally clean, only criticism is that I don't think the bedroom or stairs leading to the bedrooms have been vacuumed in a while and the glass on communal doors was really dirty. I stood on a few suspect items barefoot!
Bit of a cringey introduction by what appeared to be the owner at breakfast on Sunday morning which none of the guests seemed to be impressed by.
Would stay again though. Plenty of free parking for guests. Friendly staff.

Hello Lucy, Thank you so much for staying with us and the review. We'll definitely look at getting the carpets cleaned and glass cleaned more often, I'm sure it's an oversight as our housekeeping team is amazing. I'm the owner. I've actually been away for 10 days caring for a family member. I'm pretty sure I'm not the cringey owner you describe... We do have a long term guest who is somewhat enthusiastic each morning but I tend to say good morning, check everything is smooth and keep myself to myself :-) With kindest regards, Nigel

This was the second time we have stayed at the Bingham Townhouse and as before we found it very enjoyable and extremely good value for money with full breakfast included. Our room was a nice size, very clean and had a comfortable bed. There was also a good selection of tea and coffee with biscuits. Also provided was a TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
All the staff are very polite and friendly and really make you feel welcome.
The breakfast was extremely good with plenty of choices but the highlight of our stay was the amazing Cantonese Restaurant situated downstairs where the food is scrumptious.
We shall definitely visit this hidden little gem in the beautiful market town of Bingham again next year.
Thankyou all for your wonderful hospitality.

Hello, We are 15 miles from the Showground, usually 25 minutes as it's a straight run on a dual carriageway, however, there are currently roadworks around Newark so if you do choose to stay with us, please consider this when planning your journey. Many thanks, Nigel
