Stayed over August as an escape with friends. Was wonderfully shocked at the space in the lodge when we arrived, the living space is ideal for the evenings we spent in; as well as a lovely well kitted out kitchen which meant we were easily able to produce meals rather than eat out. (The only issue was a hob not working, but that was hardly holiday ruining!) Knives, chopping board, even a potato ricer! anything you could think of.
The master bedroom had tones of space to put away clothing rather than living out of our suitcases. Beds super soft and welcoming. Shower was really nice, with decent pleasure.
Area around the lodges is stunning, and we took great pleasure in feeding the ducks. Washing machine and tumble dryer all included, as well as wifi which was a bit slow but there was a whole house hold using it. Working TV, and DVD player!
Little hum of traffic could be heard, but as someone from London that was nothing new! Close connections to Oxford with the park and ride only being a 6 minute drive away. As well as close to a large tesco!
Barry and Lyn were lovely, and always very welcoming for a chat, even making sure to see us off on the last day.
Best Wishes and hope to be back another time! Find out names in the guest book!

Fantastic and relaxing getaway. Barry and Lyn went beyond the extra mile to assist us with some special circumstances and we are eternally grateful for their help getting things arranged. They were incredibly welcoming and the goodies on arrival were highly appreciated after a long trip. The location is really pretty and the peacock in the garden who came to greet us everyday was beautiful. The cottage was very tidy and the kitchen has everything you need.

We had a really lovely stay in one of the comfortably-furnished lodges. It was cosy, clean and warm. The kitchen/living area is really well equipped, with everything we needed to enjoy cooking and family time. The 3 bedrooms were well-appointed, as were the two bathrooms, with decent showers in both (as well as a bath in one). The gardens are beautiful, with a fabulous peacock strutting round, as well as wonderful Muscovy ducks! There is WiFi. The owners, Barry and Lyn, are very welcoming and helpful.
We thoroughly recommend, and will be back!

Spent a wk here with F and F. Cabin was roomy and had all the basics. Bedroom furniture lacked knobs and handles and part of the balcony was cordoned off because it was rotten but over all the place was very comfy. The grounds are mostly lawns and large lines of pines and hedges to absorb the Rd noise, with the river nearby. The ducks, geese and Pete the peacock were cute to watch. The owners are v nice and helpful.
The big issue was the dual carriage way directly outside the entrance. It's tricky to get off and onto the short drive to the gates, cos the traffic's doing 70- and it's noisy!! You can hear the traffic all the time, everywhere outside the cabin so it's hard to really sit out and relax. Even though it's better at night, we all slept with the windows closed and as I'm a light sleeper, I used a white noise app too. Slept ok with those precautions.
Having to turn left onto the DCW when you exit, is a real pain. Adds miles if u want to go in the opposite direction and if you've forgotten something it can take over 10 mins to get back to the gates, especially if the A40 exits are busy.
The internet there is also very sporadic and we all struggled with getting on line.
Had WiFi been good and the cabins been elsewhere, off a quiet lane or such, I would have considered going back again but that A40 just meters away is just too much!

Amazing lodge for a girls weekend! Everything we needed was provided, really welcoming and lovely hosts, would 100% recommend staying here!
Great location, 10minutes or so drive into Oxford for evening dinner and drinks and really easy to get taxis to and from! Use Oxford 001 Taxis as they know the location / entrance.
The kitchen has everything you need, all the plates, glass wear, pots / pans etc to cook a three course dinner and more. Super comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. The lodge was really clean throughout and towels, linen provided. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

We booked for 6 of us to stay over Christmas. We stayed in lodge 5. We were welcomed by Lyn who was lovely and very welcoming.
The lodges are very secure and have everything you could possibly need for you stay and more.
The lodge had been decorated for Christmas and were so homely.
The lodge were clean and all rooms had individual heating controls. There was underfloor heating in hall and open plan living room and kitchen.
We woke on Christmas morning to a beautiful peacock on the Decking with goes around the lodge. The children loved it.
The lodges are close to Oxford City centre as well as local shops and pubs.
They were beautifully decorated and we had a amazing time. Will definitely be booking to stay again.
Thank you Lyn and Barry for a lovely stay and your hospitality.

Enjoyed a really relaxed and comfortable stay with the girls, everything we needed was to hand, & our lovely hosts Lynn & Barry were very welcoming...
The home from home lodges are extremley well equipped, you have use of the private and secure gardens right down to the river and parking for at least 2 cars per lodge.
Its the perfect place to catch up with friends, idyllic surroundings, friendly hosts and a great place to just relax and recharge...
10/10 - Highly Recommended.

Lovely setting with the river running through the beautiful grounds, a great place to sit and relax. Accommodation provided everything you could need for a self catering holiday from comfortable beds to plentiful supply of kitchen utensils. Welcome pack including a bottle of wine were a pleasant surprise. Excellent location for exploring the area whilst being a relaxing environment for those days of rest and recuperation. Hosts friendly and helpful but not in the least intrusive. Truly a 5* experience.

Booked last minute as we were meant to be going abroad. Had the most amazing time away with our family. The children loved the river and resident ducks and peacock. My daughter still asks to go back to the holiday home. Lodges were comfortable and spacious. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
