Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful location, great room, comfy bed, and wonderful hosts. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. Parking on-site. It is easiest to taxi into downtown Oxford as downtown parking is very limited. Looking forward to going back some day.

We were delighted with the rooms we had in the coach house, away from the farmhouse. We had two rooms upstairs. Both rooms had modern, large bathrooms and comfortable beds. Their recommended place to have dinner, The Trout, was wonderful. We were off to Heathrow the following morning and were unable to have breakfast. The B&B is easy to get to off a dual carriage way. It is also easy to get back on.

Arrived at Hill Farm & shown our superior room in a nearby cottage, which was disappointing as we thought we would be in the Farm house as we liked the photos shown on website & why we booked. The room & ensuite was spacious, clean, tidy & well decorated, the bed was very comfortable. Now the down sides, if you want to go into Oxford without driving the taxi is £12+ (the park & ride is at least a 15 min walk along a dual carriage way & stops at 7pm. Breakfast isn't in Farm House! but a walk to nearby show jumping club house, the full english breakfast was good, but cereals, yoghurt & pastries etc weren't laid out on display to help yourself to. Our room despite looking modern & refurbished, lacked soundproofing from the room above, the door with a 10mm gap let in light from hallway, a motion sensor would be a great idea, thought the complimentary tray was poor! The hosts were warm & friendly but felt they cared more for show jumping than B&B. Also lacked in communication (not replying to emails or telephone)

Superb B&B on the outskirts of Oxford. Extremely good value and a brilliant base to explore from. An hour walk to the city centre or a short walk from bus routes. Rooms were immaculate and extremely well maintained. Everything you needed from a cup of tea, to the ironing board and hairdryer as well as a well-stocked bathroom miniature set of toiletries. Despite sub-zero temperatures on the outside, the room was cosy and very warm with adjustable radiators. Breakfast in the nearby Clubhouse was and exceptional start to the day with nothing too much trouble for the small catering team. Laura and Graeme on the end of a telephone if and when required. Would thoroughly recommend and reconsider if needing accommodation in the area again.

We used Booking.com for our stay at this B&B, and the photos of the rooms are misleading. Instead of the main farm house, we were given a room on the top floor of an outbuilding. It was a bit difficult to bring up our bags on the narrow staircase, and the room was so cramped that is was quite uncomfortable for the two of us. Breakfast was served in the clubhouse at the riding facility next to the B&B. As the place was understaffed, our breakfast was served by the maintenance person. The breakfast was fine, but the room was a real letdown. It seems that the riding facility is the main focus of the owners instead of the B&B.

My wife booked Hill Farm B&B for a birthday trip to Oxford based on previous good reviews.... The reviews weren't wrong. The location is excellent being just a stone's throw from Oxford but with countryside surroundings in a working stables. The rooms are appointed to a very high standard and are extremely comfortable. And to top it all off the breakfast was incredibly tasty with obviously very fresh ingredients! Oh, and last but absolutely not least the hosts are fantastic - very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable... Plus exceptionally hard working. Highly highly recommended

Great place for a visit to Oxford. Very clean and comfortable, lovely peaceful setting with a great breakfast too. Also a very warm welcome from Graeme. Although in a quiet setting it’s less than ten minutes in a cab to the centre so definitely the best of both worlds

Two night stay at Hill farm was just what we needed. Very clean with good facilities. Lovely quiet location but close to park and ride for Oxford. Excellent breakfast set us up for the day. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff, we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely room, so warm and cosy, such a friendly welcome from Laura and Graeme, they couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and the lady serving couldn't have been nicer. Such great value for money, £121 for a double room Inc. Breakfast.
