My wife and I stayed 2 weeks in November, just before BBH started to get busier. Excellent, spacious room yards from the white sand and sea, ditto the eating and bar areas, all very well equipped with quality furniture and furnishings. Warm, friendly and very helpful staff without exception. Rima at guest services was great at sorting any problems and arranging any trips out. The long term owner and family were resident while we were there and very 'hands-on' and approachable. Great sea food, not least the lobster. The bar/restaurant areas may I suspect feel a bit crowded with peak season numbers. A proper barista coffee machine in the bar area would be a good addition. The small gym is well equipped and air conditioned. The owners also own 'Jacks Bar' on Margaret Bay where the beach is even better and from where there is a short board walk beside thde sea to Port Elizabeth, the main town and ferry port. St Vincent is just an hour away. Bequia is very small and there is little to do except totally relax and enjoy it, and BBH is the perfect place to do it! With this in mind we are very happy to strongly recommend BBH and look forward to returning, as many people obviously do year after year.

We spent two and a half wonderful weeks at Bequia Beach Hotel as a multigenerational group: my husband and myself, two retiree grandparents, two young children (4 and 1). The hotel facilities are well-kept and warmly furnished - no cold, sleek interiors here. Our 2-bed/2-bath villa was a nice amount of space for our small family (with a full-size fridge/freezer and microwave!) but the Beachfront Suites are truly luxurious. The food was consistently high-caliber and varied throughout our stay, which is extra impressive given worldwide supply chain issues. BBQ Night and Lobster Fest were fantastic! All of the staff, from the groundskeepers to wait staff to operations managers, were friendly and went out of their way to ensure our vacation was memorable. We started planning our return trip on our third day there - it's just the kind of place you want to come back to year after year.

The Bequia Beach Hotel is located in Bequia which is part of St Vincent and the Grenadines a former Caribbean colony of the United Kingdom about 45 minutes flight west of Barbados. Pros • Located on a pretty and safe beach 10 minutes from town by taxi • Very polite and friendly staff • Well manicured grounds with lush vegetation • Choice of pools • Good level of guest privacy • Restaurant and bar overlooking beach • Good bar beverage choice • Efficient guest check-in • Helpful assistance with booking local tours • Sister restaurant, Jack’s, is located between the hotel and town on a picturesque bay with good beach. Open all day – good alternative for chilling. Other informal food and drink stalls available along the wide bay. Easy walk from Jack’s to town via coastal path. • Good guided snorkeling and diving options available in town from a couple of dive shops • Good taxi service from Gideon Taxis for tours • Taxi journeys to and from island locations which are flat rate priced at US$10 Cons • Limited choices for vegetarians & vegans in the hotel • Reasonable breakfast choices but could make better use of fresh local produce – trying but scope for improvement. • Restaurant and food choices in Bequia are limited • Covid tests are expensive – dictated somewhat by no local testing resource in Bequia and need to use St Vincent labs. Should lobby Ministry of Tourism for relief here • Current difficulty in getting to/from Bequia. Ferry service between St Vincent and Bequia is very limited and utilitarian and connect wait times usually very long. Poor / infrequent air service to Bequia from Barbados is a serious disincentive to visit Bequia. We left Barbados around noon on a flight to St Vincent and then had to wait six hours for a ferry finally reaching our hotel around 8pm. This was not well communicated to us by the hotel when we made our booking and was a very disappoint start to our visit. Summary Bequia is a pretty island with probably the friendliest people in the Caribbean. You are safe here. No doubt the local tourist industry was hit hard by Covid but is slowly spooling back up. Improving direct air service from Europe and the USA will assist the 2021/2022 season. Better local flights from Barbados and St Vincent are a must. Bequia has great potential as a hub for visits to the other Grenadine islands

Just spent a week with my wife at Bequia Beach Hotel for our 20th anniversary. Definitely one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at in the whole Caribbean. The resort is tastefully designed and well laid out. Everything is close without being congested. The grounds are raked every morning to look like a postcard by the time you head out to breakfast. The rooms are spacious and stylish. We had a King Beachfront - incredible view, two tiered floor and large balcony. Beach and pool were both only 40 feet from our room. Fresh milk and bottled water delivered every day. The staff were friendly and attentive. There were only 10 guests at the resort the whole week so it was super quiet and felt very exclusive. Candy was one of our favorites. She tended bar and provided great company. The front office staff were also great. It would have been nice to meet Mr. Bengt (the owner) but he was out of town. The food at Bagatelle Restaurant was excellent and quite reasonably priced by Caribbean standards. Each meal had specials and the core menu had a variety of dishes. All meals made good use of local fruits and vegetables along with seafood right from the ocean. We didn't even bother to travel to other places since the food was so good (don't miss lobster night!) Their spiny lobster actually gives the Maine lobster a run for its money! Overall, BBH was amazing place and we highly recommend it. I would give it 6 green dots if TripAdvisor allowed me. Will be back soon!!

It was just that, of course I was there when it was over full but it was peaceful. The staff, now there is the joy, they are attentive and really helpful. Meals are great. I took my car over because I wanted to be able to go and eat elsewhere. I did that the first day and regretted it. Everything you need is there.
