My wife and I love wine and have visited France before but never Bordeaux. This year we celebrated our 25th anniversary and I retired so this was a trip of a lifetime for us. I discovered the BWE (Bordeaux Wine Experience) newsletter some time ago and felt like this was the trip to take. We were not disappointed. Ronald and... More

After returning from our third Bordeaux Wine Experience at Chateau Coulon Laurensac, we scrolled back to our first Trip Advisor review in 2014, and our latest experience just confirms and reemphasizes every previous comment. It was a joy to greet Margaret and Ronald as old friends with their exceptional enthusiasm, hospitality, and caring for their guests totally evident. Their pride... More

The best hosts, tour, food and wine. Truly a once in a lifetime experience for anyone who loves wine. The Chateau is lovely and Ron and Margaret could not have been more gracious. I can't wait to revisit!

Wow! This was a fantastic experience and one I would definitely do again. And again! Ronald and Margaret are wonderful and gracious hosts. Every detail has been considered and everything is first class ...From the fresh flowers in our room to the transportation, to the choice of restaurants and wines... Surfing the web one night looking for "wine tours," my husband and I came across the web site for the "The Bordeaux Wine Experience." Because it looked like a wonderful tour--just the kind we were looking for--we immediately checked reviews on several sites, including Trip Advisor. The reviews were awesome! We then began to correspond with Margaret concerning details and... More

We did the Harvest Grand Cru the first week of Oct 2014 and were blown away by the experience. We were constantly on the go--visiting wineries, tasting fantastic wines and eating great food. My favor meals were the lunches at the wineries. But by far, the highlight was Ronald. It was Ronald who gave us a glimpse of "life in... More

Although we originally intended our 2015 Bordeaux Wine Experience tour to be a once in a lifetime visit, when we saw the 2016 itinerary for the Grand Cru Alumni Tour, we couldn't resist going a second time. We will return in a few years (I only hope Ron and Margaret don't retire before we can return). Again, we had the... More

As others have said, for us it was a wine trip of a lifetime. It exceeded all of my expectations. The hospitality was terrific, the food great and the wines were superb. The first growth wines, of course, were great but all the other wines were wonderful as well. Touring with Ron made it especially nice because of his vast... More

My wife and I researched a Bordeaux wine trip and scheduled it solely based on internet reviews. This is a trip we have tried unsuccessfully to schedule with others after several past attempts. We chose Bordeaux Wine Experience after carefully reviewing several alternatives. The reasons we chose BWE were dates available, cost, focus on first growth wineries, several local meals,... More

My wife and I returned last week from one of our truly great life experiences at Chateau Coulon Laurensac for the Bordeaux Grand Cru Harvest Tour. We planned on partaking in this experience some years ago and did our homework and decided that this tour appeared to be the ultimate and we never saw anything but glowing reviews. Needless to...
