I lived here for 2 years when working in Oman if you just want a bed for the night especially with a family the apts. are spacious and self catering. Beds are clean and staff very friendly. The good news is that it is annexed to the Grand Hyatt which gives you free access to its pool and their beach... More

Booked in by a client on budget. I got used to the moldy smell after a day, the breakfast was so-so, I had better in Uganda. The best part of the hotel is that it is adjacent to the grand Hyatt where one can get a decent meal and drinks. The view outside my room was the beach and also... More

We researched hotels in Muscat and settled on Safari Village due to its location and cost. We asked for a toddler bed and it was not in our room as requested. But this was rectified within 10minutes by the helpful staff. The room was spacious (read large) and enabled our 3yo to play in the room. The bed was comfortable,... More

We stayed here recently for a few days while on holiday. This is more suited for business trips and definitely not for holiday experience. Good - central location, beach front, access to Hyatt pool, friendly staff, fast wifi. Bad - breakfast acceptable not great, tired decor and finishings, no access to Hyatt gym as advertised on website and Tripadvisor. Would... More

This would probably rate as a 3 star hotel. The rooms are very large with kitchenette, dining table and chairs and easy chairs so great for self catering. If you want to cook for yourselves you can ask for extra kitchen stuff if it's not already in your room. The cleaning staff are very helpful if you have any problems.... More

I do allot of travel for work and spend a large amount of time in Oman. The hotel is very damp and smells of mildew. I left the hotel after 2 nights and refused to stay there again. The issues with moisture are due to extremely poor maintenance of the air conditioning systems. The room I was put in had... More

We (family, two kids) got upgraded to a suite because they had not received our reservation via Agoda (first sign on the wall). The clerc at the reception was totally clueless but out came a very decisive manager who made this possible. The rooms are large in size but have a 70's style to them in terms of wall decorations.... I stayed for longer period in this haunted place, the worst I have ever seen in my 20 years of travelling. Can't be even rated as two star. It is probably being run as a charity organization. Junior staff is good but the hotel managemnt has no clue how to manage a hotel. If thing breaks down during weekend , it... More

Staff are very helpful, friendly, pleasant and accomodating. Rooms are double the size of a normal 5-star hotel room with a small kitchen (a real advantage) if you want to cook plus tea/cof. facility (with cof., tea, sugar, creamer provided) and a microwave oven what else you would look for? And wi-fi is absolutely free of charge which worked best... More

Helpful staff even when arriving after mid night. Large spacious rooms and an excellent air conditioning unit. Bathrooms small and kitchenette is what it is. Breakfast basic but covers your needs. Internet wifi was free and pretty good. Room service works to some degree and access to the Hyatt is the best part and probably why this place works. Being... More
