Charming, boutique, family run property with all the polish of a five-star grand hotel. Meticulously restored and maintained, a magnificent villa retaining all its original features with mirror-polished marble floors and mahogany doors. Truly impressive attention to detail and standards. Lovely, friendly staff and watchful owners that always seem to be around. And one of the best Mediterranean gardens I...

Everything about this Hotel is first class. You were welcomed into the villa by an extremely friendly receptionist and immediately felt at home. The room was beautiful, a lovely mix of modern and classic and the view was stunning. We also had an amazing meal at the restaurant which had just won a 2 Hat rating in the Italian guide...

We booked this Villa for our first evening in Italy as a half-way point driving between Milan & Monaco -- and boy did we luck out! This Villa is set in gorgeous, spacious gardens that you can get lost in. There are many fruit trees that fragrant the air as you walk through. The private setting made us feel like...

Special hotel. Sympathetically renovated. Perfect synthesis of Anglo-Italian style. Very comfortable room with incredible sea view. Pool more plunge pool than standard. Food very good but expensive. Excellent service with friendly staff. Highly recommended for those looking for something a bit different in Liguria

Blissful location on the hill in Alassio. It's a short walk down a steep hill to the town, though in the heat with a three year-old we preferred to get a taxi the short ride home each night (about 10 Euros and can just wait for them at the station). Whenever we book a luxurious location such as this, there...

I was more than curious to find a hotel that averaged 5/5 on hotels.com. What kind of place would that be? Now I know. There is absolutely nothing about this hotel that didn't make me happy. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt the warm welcome of the super professional staff who remained near invisible...

Despite being only 10 mins from the beach on foot, this lovely hotel set in the most beautiful gardens was a haven of tranquility and grace. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant and the receptionists very knowledgeable about local and general italian affairs, places to visit, etc. The outdoor terrace of the restaurant is a delight as is...

Loved this charming old world hotel, which we discovered quite by accident when looking a for a short stop between Provence and Piedmont. Set on a hill above a surprisingly pleasant coastal town, you feel you have been whisked away to a bygone era. The grounds are a botanical garden, and the villa grand and airy. Our suite was ridiculously...

Our time at Villa della Pergola feels more dream like than reality. We felt we had stepped into a forgotten era of grace, charm and attention to detail. We felt so at home and so spoilt at this hotel that we extend our stay by a week!!! We stayed at Villa della Pergola with our two young children, 9 months...

Scottish lords build this mansion, their holiday home in 1890. They made a copy of their home, beautiful garden, a big hall, a huge fireplace and spacious rooms. They received their guests, writers, poets and painters to entertain them. The owner of the hotel has kept the atmosphere of the old days. It is stunning. You feel as a guest...
