In the rural site of Arezzo we had the best holiday possible. Beautiful scenery with nice rooms and airconditioning. Large swimming pool. Excellent osteria and lovely family at the staf. Would highly recommend a visit when you’re looking for a place to stay. However you will need a car.

We booked one night at Le Capanne during a Tuscan road trip holiday. We decided against staying directly in Arezzo with limited parking opportunities at most hotels and decided on Le Capanne for its out of town location. It was a little tricky to find but we got there more by following the signs than by the navigation system. It is a grand old house in the middle of fields. What made the overnight stay memorable was the dinner with sophisticated food and attentive service. Breakfast was also hale and hearty - no easy feat in these corona times.

Wonderful stay here last week at this family run hotel - the family are all great engaging people and show a real passion to ensure that you enjoy your time here.
- I would also mention that the food in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic with excellent service and well worthy of a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel itself.
Thankyou Team Le Capanne ! 👏👏👏

Incredible location and unusual, quirky building. Homely, welcoming and very rustic. If you want prim and proper this is not the place for you. If you want an authentic experience then stay here! The staff were superb, friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was as hoped and delicious. Minor blip of overcooked duck but could be forgiven when everything else was spot on and the way it was handled was as you would hope customer service to be.

Le Capanne is a super place. My husband and I were greeted by the lady owner with a handful of fresh strawberries she had just picked from the garden. We were able to nibble these as we unpacked in our spacious, cool and comfortable room. Everything was clean and worked! The view from our window was of the working farm area but we still enjoyed the sound of sheep, goats and frogs mixed in with very lovely birdsong drifting in each morning. Breakfast is adequate (nothing homemade) but dinner in the restaurant is a great treat. Menu is short and concentrates on meat so if you are staying more than a couple of nights then you might want to eat out in Arezzo too. It is easy to drive to and park and the quality of the restaurant we ate in there - Le Chiavi D'Oro - was super. And it was recommended by the receptionist at Le Capanne. Stay here if you want to chill out and be fairly self-sufficent. Staff are friendly and helpful but don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. The owner, his son and wife, are lovely people. Unfortunately his (the owner's) English is poor (rather like my Italian) but he gave us brilliant suggestions for touring around Arezzo and lent us a fantastic Italian Touring Club book (thankfully in English!) with maps and wonderful itineraries. We saw a lot of 'secret' Tuscany thanks to him. Receptionist, waiters and owner's son all speak reasonable English. We loved our stay here and will come back again if in the area.

My husband and I stayed in this magnificient hotel not far from Arezzo, Tuscany in April 2006 and must say that we never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was sad to leave. The rooms were lovely nicely decorated with wooden beam cealings and nice big bathrooms, wonderful restaurant with excellent food from that particular region.
The hostess a lovely cheerful lady who spoke very good English was always there to help. Everything fitted perfectly. +++++ Worth going!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was a truly relaxing location, comfortable room, swimming pool, and a restaurant with first class food. It is a great base to explore Tuscany with easy access by car or train to Pisa, Florence, Assisi and other nearby destinations. And then there is historic Arezzo to explore, walk the historic streets and landmarks, stunning churches, modern shops and great eating places...
The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Hotel Le Capanne as the ideal place to stay in the centre of Italy.
Relax, explore, relax...
Ciao!

Unfortunately for us this was a one night stop on the way back to Florence airport but we wished it had been longer. We had visited Arezzo for one day earlier on our holiday and found it a great place to go - without all the tourists of Florence but with good places to visit. If you don't want the hussle and bustle then Arezzo is a very good place to see and this hotel is ideally located, just out of town and very quiet.
The hotel was superb in every way. Staff very helpful, good food and excellent clean room. Can't fault.

We travelled from Sicilië bij car back to the Netherlands and stayed one night at this place. It is hard to find, in the middle of nowhere but sn amazing site. The staff is absolutely friendly, the rooms basic and clean and the food was marvellous. Breakfast could be better with fresh fruit and with eggs, but is was oké.
One thing was very disappointing; during our diner there were cockroaches walking on the floor, near our feet en where our dog was laying. Such a pitty for such a great place.

Dear Guests, Thank you for your comment and for the praise, we would like to point out that for dinner, you ate outside in our open veranda in the garden and being in the country, if a little animal came to apologize that we can not. We also want to make it clear that you wanted a specific table and do you have to switch off the air conditioning because it bothered you and you wanted to open the window from which the garden .... thank you.
