They list themselves as a family hotel, I would say they are better suited for families with older children and discerning pallet. I stayed here with a 5 yr old who is somewhat challenging to feed (my problem I realize). While the food was good, there was a limited selection to the nightly menu. I spent 4 days at hotel Serena for walking, site-seeing, relaxing and enjoying good food. I got it all: from the explanation of how to walk immediately out of the hotel to some lakes in the mountains, to very good food, to various types of herbal teas. We really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Serena. The owners and staff were very friendly, personable and helpful with their wealth of knowledge on the area and the culture. Both the holiday and hotel was a special experience of a different time and place from most destinations - a bit of a time warp. The scenery is magical and...

The hotel is just five minutes drive to the Alta Badia ski area. The hotel offers excellent breakfast and dinner, the staff is very helpful. Very nice pool and wellness center. The rooms are comfortable, but quite small.
