The hotel was very nice. Great swimmingpools to relax in. And I mean only to relax in, no swimmingpools to train in for the olympics. It's a spa. Although a few person did it you cannot put your towel or personal belongings on sunbeds and then go somewhere else (breakfast or to the town). The room we had was spacious and had a sofa in het that you can convert to a second bed. At the booking we asked for one without but we got one with anyway. You can park your car in the garage which can get quit full at some times. Especially when there is a conference going on in the hotel. Covid The staff of the hotel wear masks the hole time. We were suppose to wear them whenever you walk in the hotel. You don't have to wear them when you walk to the pool to take a swim or at the table when you got to eat. Every morning they measured my temperature before breakfast. But that measurment is a bit of a joke because they measure on your wrist. That temperature is lower than the actual temperature of the body. They probably add 1 degree to the result but still i thing the forehead is more accurate. Breakfast was in two shifts. An early one from 7 till 9 and from 9 till 11. some of the product were out of stock for the second shift because of this. Pros: * Nice and correct staff * Spacious Rooms * Parking garage beneath hotel * Swimmingpools/spa * Airco in the floor so no wind from above * Internet in the hotel (exept for the beds in the pool area) * Location not near center of bardolino but 10 minute walk. Cons: * Not an adult only hotel (the hotel should really consider doing this) * Noise from room above. I believe the floors are not made of concrete but wood. * Staff did not actively tell people who "forgot" their masks…
Both myself and my wife had a lovely stay at the hotel we were delighted to have the opportunity to go for a week. The hotel has done a great job managing the restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. I would also like to thank Roberto in the spa for an excellent massage really helped sort my back out.
With Robert Pagan at the SPA there was an instant "klick". I booked a classical massage with hot oil and we had a wonderful conversation around chinese medicine and a more holistic approach to curing illnesses. The massage was excellent by someone who pours in heart & soul.
Spent the day here with my wife since hotel where we were staying at did not offer SpA service due to COVID... Aqualux is a modern and elegant venue, with several swimming pools, jacuzzi’s and very nice sunbathing area. As part of the day package I could use the gym, which is not big but has all that’s needed in terms of machines and weights for a good training. I had a full body massage booked for end of day (my primary reason for being here) which was professionally and masterfully delivered by Fabio. Based on the above, full marks to my experience, and highly recommend for a day. That said, wanting to be picky and for the Beni fit of those who may not just come for a massage or a SpA day, I would point out the following. The pool bar offering is minimal, the quality not impressive and the value for money way behind than anything else in the area (my wife had a shakered coffee, which was served in a less than half full cocktail cup, and the Aperol Spritz is served in a glass half the size of any other bar). So had I come here for “booz by the pool” I would have probably given a one star only... but that’s not why I came here hence I’ll stick to my positive vote and review…
We were excited to stay at this hotel, but were very disappointed. Our room was not clean, and the shower and room curtains were covered in mold and mildew--somewhere you definitely did not want to walk around barefoot. Our shower also leaked when we tried to use it. We called to ask about switching to another room and the staff were not helpful. Our room also had a strange round bed. The indoor spa area was spacious, and I imagine would be very nice during warmer months. Breakfast was mediocre, but the staff at breakfast were very kind and welcoming--the best part of our stay. That said, nothing can make up for a dirty room.
