This hotel is always so welcoming and helpful. The views are spectacular. It is a short walk to the cable car that runs into the snowline way above the pass itself. Of course it is best to stay during the weekend and just sit and watch the amazing variety of cars and motorbikes climbing the "staircase" of bends to the... More

What an amazing place to stay in summer. Right across the road from a ski resort that only opens in the summer. At over 2700 mtrs above sea level it has wonderful views down onto the Stelvio Pass. If riding or driving the pass it is a great place to stop overnight before going down the other side. Yes the... More

This ski hotel is at the top of the Stelvio Pass and the location is superb. Outside it's quite unproposing but once inside it's pure alpine lodge. We sat in the large lounge by the roaring log fire looking down over the pass. Rooms are quite good and well insulated and very clean. Try to get one with views down... More

I agree entirely with Tour_Manager_PN - well I would do as we were on one of his tours! I also reviewed this hotel last summer: "It's a no frills ski chalet with a rickety lift and rooms like you just don't see anymore (Candlewick bedspreads?!). However, as a (car) touring group we had a good time and enjoyed a brief... More

Year after year we keep going back to this family run hotel. We go in the summer to enjoy driving the surrounding roads and every time we arrive we're greeted by the same welcoming attitude. It doesn't matter how later we arrive, food is always offered (admittedly the latest we have arrived is 11pm and they were expecting us). If... More

I stayed here on the night of the Thursday 25th July 2013. Claudia and her sister who manage the hotel were great. They were very welcoming and chilled. Hearty breakfast, rooms clean and good shower. If I travel through the pass again- I'm staying at Folgore Hotel for sure! Thanks again Claudia!

Fantastic location and very tired old hotel. Rooms were very basic, no bath, rickety shower, cold although the heating was turned on for a couple of hours at night. Lots of dull food. The pass is wonderful but you don't have to stay there.

The hotel was clean, functional and had everything you needed if a little spartan. The food was good hearty food and plenty of it although limited choices on a daily changing menu, however it was good which is more important that plenty of choices of rubbish food. The location is stunning as it is 2760 metres up which is twice... More

As Teamtango said, in the summer this is a stopover hotel for people who have made it to the top of the Stelvio Pass be it on foot or on wheels and we are grateful to stop and relax. It's a no frills ski chalet with a rickety lift and rooms like you just don't see anymore (Candlewick bedspreads?!). However,... More

This is my second visit to this hotel, as I was driving some of the famous roads in the Alps. The Hotel is a basic chalet style but the location at the top of Stelvio Pass is superb ! Lots of free parking and and a short walk to the local restaurants/bars. Its a little noisy from old water pipes,... More
