Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the delicious breakfasts filled with homemade pastries, hazelnut spread, and jams and bottomless cappuccino as well as local fruits, meats, and cheeses to the warm, welcoming hosts and the comfortable, spacious en suite rooms, the Agriturismo Cascina Monchiero was in every detail our home for a week. Eugenio, Francesca, and Luciana provided suggestions for sightseeing and dinners, and we had some wonderful conversations, too, in Italian and English. They were the ultimate hosts. Our goal was to stay in a peaceful, rural setting, yet be close to the pulse of a thriving community. Bra is a delightful city, with a Friday market not to be missed, and we were close enough to Torino and Genova and the Alps for beautiful day trips. Era un'esperienza ottima. Grazie mille ai nostri ospiti per il vostro aiuto con tutto e per una vacanza molto accogliente e rilassante. Robin & Kerry, San Diego, California, USA

We stayed here for four nights and received a very warm welcome from Eugenio and Luciana. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and served in the lovely dining room. We had dinner one night which was amazing. We had lots of dishes to try, one of which was Eugenio's home made pasta served with Luciana's delicious ragu. It was served on the open air terrace overlooking the grounds of the farm. We sampled a bottle of Monchiero Barolo wine with our meal, and the next day had a wine tasting of Monchiero wines at the winery run by Luciana's brother. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay and we hope to visit again sometime.

Peacefully set just outside Bra but an quick drive into the centre, it was lovely to sleep in the quietness of the countryside. Breakfasts were large and delicious. We had a gorgeous dinner there one evening and it was well worth it. Lovely, friendly hosts. A very nurturing place to be. Wish we'd been able to stay more than two nights.

Everywhere in the Piemonte region is only 10-15 minutes away. Returning to Agriturismo Casino Monchiero each evening you are greeted by Eugenio who is genuinely interested in your travels and experiences. His wife, Luciana, comes form winegrowers. Their winery is called Monchiero, hence they named this B&B after their winery. We visited the winery where Daniela, Luciana's sister-in-law, spent nearly 2 hours with us, opening many bottles of wine to try, then taking us on an extended tour of the winery, which they are very proud of. Their prize wine is Barolo (DOCG), which is a beautiful wine. Their cellar door prices are extremely low. I felt bad we couldn't buy more wines, but, as international travellers, flying with bottles of wine just doesn't work. This is a relatively small winery by production, but it well worth a visit, if you are doing the rounds of the Barolo wineries.

Out of the way a bit so you will need a car for this one but for the price wew found this to be a great stay, albeit for just the one night. Wished we had booked two. Simple, spacious, clean and very friendly owners - and we purchased 3 bottles of their wine on departure (you have to ask !) - We were recommended 480Gradi in Bra for pizza and it was very good and super-cheap. Breakfast was simple, good and we were sad to leave. Great find and well done to the couple that run the place as well as running the farm.

This is a little off the beaten path but its a lovely place to stay. You will need a car or taxi to drive to downtown Bra. The owners are friendly and helpful. Had dinner here one evening and it was wonderful. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Francesca speaks English, German & Italian and was a pure joy. As were her parents. Very reasonable pricing for this area.

This small agriturismo on the outskirts of Bra was the perfect place to stay while sampling the Slow Food in the town. The rooms were clean and comfortable -- had ensuite bathrooms-- and had a view of the farmyard. Breakfast was included -- it was delicious. We sampled red wine from Francesca 's family's winery, served on the terrace with olives from local trees. Beautiful sunny afternoon. We were able to walk into Bra and back so did not have to worry about driving after our three hour "slow food" dinner with accompanying wines. The cost was very reasonable -- great value for money. Highly recommended !

Folowing 2 days in Turin we stayed at the wonderful family owned farm house. It was a great way to start - we were booked for 1 night but extended and stayed 2 as we enjoyed the warmth and integrity of the place so much. The couple who own it are so welcoming and proud of what they do - and this shows in everything from the cleanliness, to quality of breakfast items and finish of the property. The property is decorated as a farmhouse - brick walls, wood floors all very quaint. Rooms are a great size and comfortable with great views of the area. Breakfast though has to be the highlight - the quality is great - Italian hams, home made cheese, cereals, freshly baked breads and cakes all served on the terrace overlooking the farm with donkeys, rabbits and horses. The value is excellent, the owners warm and welcoming and the place is wonderfully warm and hospitable. we had a great time - also The farmhouse is linked with the Monchiero Winery in La Morra (15 minute drive) so ask about visiting the winery to taste the wines. they serve them at the property too!

We stayed here on a road trip to Monaco, I'm afraid my husband insisted on stopping in BRA after seeing the name!! But after reluctantly agreeing I found this lovely family run business. The building was painstakingly restored to its glory brick by brick by the homeowner and his sons. They make some of the best wine here I've ever tasted and at dinner time when we asked if they minded us lighting our own BBQ they couldn't have been kinder! Herbs were brought out and music and candles supplied. I was genuinely sad we had to leave the next day in our journey. Will recommend with confidence. :-)
