My parents had stayed here in 2004, when they were visiting the region, and recommended that we stay here. We were not disappointed. The villa is situated close to everything in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Close to Sienna, Florence, Assisi and wineries. The hotel manager would hug, or shake our hands, every time we saw him. We met his family... More

This place was a wonderful place to stay. Just 1/2 mile from 222. Large rooms and included breakfast every morning was wonderful. What really makes this place special is Franco and his staff. He makes everyone feel like family. Italian hospitality at its finest. We only had breakfast here so I can't comment about the rest of the restaurant. Pool... More

The hotel itself as a building is simply amazing. Weird things happened though, apparentely guests from last night have used some super strong mosquito spray or whatever and the whole room smelled exactly like that. Girl from the reception said that they have tried to ventilate our room whole day but the smell is still there, she was sorry about... More

With the many options on hotels, farmhouses and b&bs, you would be spoilt for choices when it comes to choosing a place to stay in Tuscany. We found hotel villa Casalecchi in Chianti at short notice as it had the last room available. Everything was perfect: location, rooms, people, service, food, setting. Located near to castellina town, hotel villa Casalecchi... More

Villa Casalecchi was amazing! My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. The staff is what makes it, they are friendly, helpful and want you to enjoy your stay. They helped us booked several activities and never made us fell we were asking too much. The Villa itself is stunning, a real step back in time and very charming. The... More

This hotel is in a very good location, about 1 km off the SR222 down a typical Tuscan unpaved road. The hotel feels like you are in the hills miles from civilisation, actually you are within a very short drive of Castellina in Chianti (~10 minutes). We had a superior room on the first floor, high ceiling with hand painted... More

This beautiful old wineyard is surrounded by atmosphere of the old Italy. The romms and the facilities are great, the staff is extremely nice and helpful, and the food, wow, the food is really nice and plenty. The swimmingpool is nice and cool, and you have a good internet connection all over the hotel.

We brought our family here 12 years ago and came back again this summer with friends. The hotel has clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely pool for lounging and swimming with views of the surrounding area. Located off the main road it is a quite location but only a short walk to the village. The staff was friendly and helpful... More

If there is one thing, the staff of Villa Casalecchi understands perfectly; it is to make you feel welcome. Especially Franco! This man is a symbol for the very best in authentic, Italian hospitality. With his hoarse voice and dressed neatly in his suit; he could be a character straight out of a movie! It is impossible not to like... More

There is something special about this hotel. It is set in beautiful forest garden, in a big old house which has such character and soul. But the heart of this place is Franco and his family, and all of the wonderful staff who are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We felt like honoured guests. We spent a couple of evenings sitting...
