We immediately felt welcomed by Monica, the most lovely host, that has all the knowledge (food, spa’s,landscape) you can wish for. Delicious homemade breakfast. Everything is superclean but most of all, her hospitality is overwhelming. Love from David and Lara

Best B&B we have ever stayed in. Great rooms, great breakfast, great pool. And above all a great host: Monica! She really makes you feel guest and part of the family at the same time. Besides, she knows what to visit, where to lunch and where to go for dinner. Also very helpfull in making reservations.

Monica's hospitality is 6 stars and the warmth she radiates makes you feel right at home. Her personality and energy bounces of the walls and she is hilarious! The design of her BnB is very understated and has a lovely Mediterranean feel to it. There are also wood sculptures in the room that are very beautiful. Cleanliness is something that I really appreciate when staying at hotels and her place would put 5 star hotels to shame! Not to mention that the location of the BnB is very close to the co-op where you can get food if you want to stay in, local attractions like the spa and smack bang in the middle of rural Tuscany which is what I came for. She was so very helpful with where to go and what to do. She made our trip more special with little tips on hidden gems that online blogs and write ups did not mention. We really had a lovely stay with her and would definitely want to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay, and our talks over breakfast with Monica. The rooms are nice, very large for Europe, we had two balconies that let the breeze and the beautiful countryside in. The place is pretty, and the art and sculpture keep it interesting. It's very clean. The pool was beautiful, but since it was mid-September, a little too chilly for my tastes. Breakfast was a large assortment of homemade cakes, pastries and bruschetta, along with homemade yogurt, freshly picked fruits and your choice of coffees. As others have said, Monica speaks very good English, and would give us suggestions on where to go and what to see in her area, which were pretty spot on. We had to leave early on the last day to catch our flight home, and since we were missing that morning's breakfast, Monica insisted on making us sandwiches to take to the airport. The location is not great for Florence, but for all the smaller towns south of Florence- Siena, Pienza, Montpuciano, it's great, and there are good restaurants at a walk or close drive from there. After days of walking hill towns in the area, there is a large indoor/outdoor hot spring pool complex in Chianciano Terme that costs 11 euros for 4 hours. It's a great way to recharge. We would definitely go back there again

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was big enough, nice decorated and very clean. Monica was lovely and did everything she could for us. She told us places to visit, where to eat, where to buy things and so on. Communication was no problem because Monica speaks english very well. The breakfast was very good, we got home made bread, home made cakes and very good cheese and salami. Everyday she made fresh bruschetta and pancakes for us, which tasted fantastic. The organic apple juice from Tuscany tasted also great! We will definitly stay there again the next time we are in this part of Tuscany. Best wishes to Monica and her child from Tyrol!

I can't add much to the other reviews. The rooms are great and Monica (who speaks very good English) is charming, helpful and a wonderful baker. The B&B is located at the base of the old town so, after a day exploring the area, you are just a few minutes walk to the little cafes and wine bars. However, the new town is close by with all of the amenities you need (laundromat). We had a car which is nice but parking can be an expensive hassle. This Locanda has plenty of free parking so it serves as a great base for exploring SE Tuscany. You're near the wine towns (Montepulciano) and hill towns (Sarteano) and in the heart of Etruscan country with great museums and tombs to explore. We like to hike and there are lots of trails. We did a part of the Via Franciagena and walked through the beech forest on Monte Amiata. This area and town are great and I highly recommend this Locanda.

This supreme B &B is tucked away in the most incredible location of our entire trip! The warmth and hospitality from the moment we stepped into this enchanted hideaway left us not wanting to leave. Monica made us feel as though we were part of her wonderful family . Every room was so different and paid homage to an individual artist. We loved the Van Gogh room and the Picasso room. Everywhere we looked was a feast for the eyes. Speaking of feasts, Monica makes sumptuous delicacies for breakfast bar none! Having fresh figs in the morning that were just picked is just one of the many surprises that will be in store the lucky guests! The views are breathtaking !! We plan to visit Monica, her beautiful baby Leonardo and her family as often as possible!! WE LOVE YOU MONICA!!!! David Mapes, Teresa Arcodia. Ignazio and Amy Cangemi

Upon arrival we were cheerily greeted by our host Monica. She has loads of tips for the local area and all are worth following. The room (the MC Escher room) was spacious with a cute little balcony with a view. Everything is spotless and she serves up a HUGE breakfast that was really tasty (especially the fresh pastry!) You'll need a car to get around this part of Tuscany though and be a little wary of opening days/hours for some of her prime restaurant suggestions (all are in other towns) but the one we finally managed to find was extraordinary. Enjoy this reasonably priced and beautiful stay in Tuscany!
