Detailed Reviews
We traveled to Cortina to hike around the area, so we looked for cheap places, where we could have a clean bed to sleep and a shower, and we discovered this place in an article. We left the place amazed by the hospitality of the owner and the lady at the reception, who was also in charge of cleaning. We really felt like home. We opted for breakfast as well but it was served around 8 am and our plan was to leave around 7 in the morning. Giovanni was very nice and prepared our breakfast in the evening (to have it ready for the next day) so that we can keep up with our plans. Towels were changed every day, everyone was extremely kind and ready to help us every time we needed something. This is definitely the best choice in Cortina.

The hotel is nice and cosy. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were quite small but very clean and with a lot of storage space. Giovanni was very nice and helpful and full of recommendations which was greatly appreciated. It is amazingly located 5 minutes from the city centre, 2 minutes away from the bus station going to further lifts and 7 minute walk to the closest lift.

If you are looking for a family run homely vibe, this is it.
Giovanni and his team ran the place like an army but still chill fuss free easy going - tidy, clean and efficient !! PERFECT !!
Charming, peaceful, a real gem when I was staying there for about 11 nights for the annual Lavaredo ultra trail race.
It is approx 300m away from the town centre which was what I was looking for - not too far but far enough to have some peace.
Town centre is where all the amenities are - shopping, super markets, restaurants and bars.
It is just next to the bus station and next to the Tues & Fri market. Perfect.

My airline recently cancelled my flight; in fact it appears they have cancelled all flights from Seattle. I had 6 lodging reservations in Italy and 5 of the 6 provided a refund or cancellation with no problem. This one didn't, in fact called me 'cowardly' for disagreeing with their 'no refund' policy. Totally unprofessional. I can understand their economic situation and could be more understanding if they had asked for it. But a confrontational approach is not justified. I had asked for a rescheduling, but they were not willing to negotiate. We are coming back in April and will be staying at the other 5 as previously arranged. Not this one. Their policy of 'no refund' is that, strictly a policy. This was totally out of my control and they should have been more cooperative, like the other five. I write travel books on Italy; this won't be included in my next book. Ciao.

Response from , Direttore generale at Hotel Meuble Oasi
Responded 30 Jul 2021
The "gentleman" who wrote the above review made a NOT REFUNDABLE reservation at our hote. Few days ago he cancelled the booking claiming for the refund of it, justifying his claim cause of his flight was cancelled by the airline company. Instead of blaming us for our refusal, why doesn't he apply for the refund by the airline company which cancelled his flight? As we denied his request, he openly threatened to damage our reputation with bad reviews on socials, turistic portals and so on. In fact he did it as you can see. Please, read the below correspondance: Craig cancellation Thanks for your quick response. While I can sympathize with your economic situation, it has affected my family as well. I'm sure you can easily replace my reservation with someone else due to the advance notice you have received. Of the 7 reservations in Italy, only your establishment refused. Policies are not laws, and you could provide a refund, but you choose not to. Just a last note, I am a noted author, including a book on travel recommendations to Italy. I know how to write books, not to mention writing for social and review sites. Have a good day. This will be my last direct communication with your hotel. Steve "Dear" Mr. Craig, well, to find easily replacement for the room you've cancelled is not given for sure, as you presume. Moreover, we really love the attitude of those who receive a denial and cowardly react by threatening else's reputation. Shame on you! Hotel Oasi - Giovanni Frenner

During our stopover in Lisbon to Venice, we were advised that Italy had invoked a 24 wildcat strike at all airports, not allowing any inbound flights. As such, we were stranded in Lisbon and physically unable to get to Hotel Meuble. I immediately emailed Giovanni about us being trapped in Lisbon and asked for a refund. He said to contact Booking.com which I did and they said to contact Giovanni as he had my prepaid reservation in hand. After conveying this merry go round to Giovanni, he then provided a disingenuous and conniving offer of another free night next time we are in Cortina D'Ampezzo. Really? As everyone knows, planning to go to this town is not an impulsive / spontaneous decision and requires integration with a larger travel plan. I really doubt we will travel back there so in essence his offer is of no value to me and I lost my prepaid deposit for the room. Importantly to know, both TAP Airlines and Hertz Rental Car have refunded 100% of the prepaid deposits to me. Dealing with these two companies has been a pleasure as they practice Best in Class principles. My consumer experience with Giovanni has been awful due to his unprofessional conduct and needless game playing. As a experience traveler, I would strongly counsel you to consider other hotels in the area of higher class and morals.

wish i could give this hotel 0 zeros. My friend tested positive for covid and the horribly rude and mean manager screamed at us over the phone telling us he would rather us come with covid instead of giving a refund. NEVER stay here. I have never experienced more unprofessional and terrible service.

I stayed here on my own for three nights before the arrival of my five regular skiing mates. The bus brought me into the bus station and I was about to call a taxi when I looked up and saw the hotel next to the bus station- ideally situated. The room was a compact single with a reasonable sized en suite shower room. Rosanna cleaned and tidied the room each day to a high standard. Breakfasts were simple but ideal. Price overall was very reasonable. Giovanni is a star and was charming and helpful to everyone. Thank you for letting me leave my luggage In reception all day on the day I joined the others in my party at a nearby hotel.

How long can a busy traveler remember a foreign language hotel name after only a brief visit? In this case, it's been over TWO years! Meuble Oasi was "discovered" after arriving in Cortina D'Ampezzo late one evening in September. Having no expectations, my traveling companion and I were delighted with the cleanliness, reasonable price, and genuinely cheerful presence of the staff. We had planned only a one night stop in Cortina, en route to Venice. Due to excellent weather, charms of Dolomite people, fine regional cuisine, and adventure opportunities, we stayed an extra two nights at Meuble Oasi. NO REGRETS!!

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Oasi on our way to Venice,Italy. The hotel was in a good location, walkable to town and restaurants. The hotel was clean, breakfast was, in my opinion, very sparse. There were no cheeses and meats as most other B&B's we had stayed in. The owner was polite, but not very helpful, and left me also with the same impression of the previous poster - that he really didn't enjoy his guests, or their presence. I would not return to this hotel because of this.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The hotel location is good ie 3 mins walk to bus station and 5 min walk to the main square. The breakfast spread is more than what we expected, delicious and satisfying meal. Giovanni has been a great host for giving us tips where to explore and make good coffee too. Our room was cleaned daily and has the nice view of the mountains. We only wish the bed could be firmer and the room has a better heater, overall we love our stay and will recommend it to others

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for your kind request. Unfortunately, our small Hotel has no cooking facilities but, as our hotel is centrally located, it is sorrounded by many restaurants/trattorias where our Guests are intitled of a discount on their meals.
Kind regards.
