Stayed early January '15 in this well located venue. Helpful with upgrading to a larger room and general concierge matters. Great communication and personalised attention. Excellent ski locker set-up. Breakfast was modest but all we needed, with attentive service. Lovely village, friendly people with some amazing food and quite reasonable prices. Parking was a bit tight but familiarity will solve... More

We arrived in Cortina after a hard days drive and found this hotel, loved the decor and the room was OK, clean, but a little dated however, the bed made up for the shortfall - very comfy! Breakfast was really good with the most amazing croissants I have ever eaten.

We stayed for 2 nights before and after our Dolomites Alta Via 1 trekking. One can feel designer touch everywhere in the hotel, colors, furnishings, linens - all done with style and thought. It was great to lather on Etro bathing products after week in the mountains - such a contrast. Location is great as well, staff is very attentive... More

We stayed at the Ambra Hotel July 3-4 2016. It is a nice small hotel that is centrally located. The bus station is just two short blocks away. It is also centrally located to all the restaurants and shops in town. In contrast to many of the pictures posted, our actual room was modern with a large bathroom. The included... More

We stayed in one of the refurbished "theatre rooms" - whilst not paricularly large it was very nicely decorated with an amazing carved wooden panel above the bed. The bathroom was particularly well done - a lovely rain shower and a hand held one, great lighting, underfloor heating and a big heated towel rail which was very handy for drying... More

Ambra hotel is in the centre of Cortina. With wooden furniture and boiserie, some rooms have also nice terraces, kind personnel and very nice breakfast hall. About 100 mt from cortina's cathedral, close to the shopping area, in front of the city parking, has also a private parking. Typical cortina's dolomitic furniture, the owner is a nice lady who participates... More

The hotel is not quite what expected: The room service depends on the staff's availability, the ski room has a security code for the first door but a lock from the inside door; I still had to enter from the main hotel entrance to go down to the ski room and unlock the door: not advisable for skiing people. Two night stay. Staff very friendly, but found the rooms quite small and bathroom as well. Rooms were not soundproof, which was particularly noticeable when a tour group checked in for one of the nights. Also found rooms were quite warm. This hotel was in a great location and offered everything one would expect. The breakfast was large and all staff was very friendly. Negatives were the shower which was hard to use without getting water all over the wood. Which brings me to my main gripe. This hotel does not appear to have been updated in years. Lots of wood...
