We managed to get a late deal to UNA Hotels Naxos Beach having had other planned trips to France and Greece cancelled due to the rapidly changing travel advice, we were glad we did.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful with any requests. The cleaning team are, quite frankly, amazing and everyone paid great attention to cleaning and sanitising everything. Even the lifeguard at the pool doubled as an extra cleaner, sanitising the sun beds as soon as they became vacant. The sun beds weren’t the most comfortable I’ve experienced, but at least it meant no one hogged them too long!

The effort the hotel went to in order to keep things hygienic was very noticeable, cutlery for tables arriving in wrapped paper bags with a napkin. I hate to think about the cost of all these measures, a big thank you to the staff and management, definite five stars there.

We stayed in a villa, which had recently been refurbished to a good standard, the beds were comfy and the aircon was super efficient. There was a nice private patio area. If I came again, I’d probably ask for an upstairs villa room if possible, just to avoid the noise of guests above moving furniture at odd hours. The hotel, garden and grounds are well kept, mature and extensive. It’s perhaps not luxurious, but all of a good standard and well maintained.

We were lucky enough to be all inclusive. We were impressed at what was included, a good range of drinks, nibbles, snacks and fabulous ice creams.

I wondered if the private beach was managed by a separate company, the sun bed hire seemed pricey, but free in the evenings. It was very pleasant to stroll along the shore as the sun went down. The beach side restaurant is an extra cost most evenings, but they do offer pizza on the all inclusive option on certain nights. Both are well worth doing.

I’m guessing guest numbers were down, and the cost of all the safety measures must have impacted things; the entertainment was a little limited and sadly the Olympic pool was closed. These were, overall, small things and in context seem mean to mention, hopefully in more normal times, things would be a bit more extensive.

The restaurant served a good choice of food at each meal and although there were a few difficulties with pointing at what you wanted when staff were behind glass screens, it was a small price to pay for the safety aspect.

I don’t know if the smaller guest numbers and Covid situation impacted on the food and range available, it was a good range, but not great and was perhaps a little repetitive at breakfast and lunch. Sadly, they didn’t repeat the Tiramisu often enough in the evening though, that was divine!

All in all, excellent value for money, friendly, welcoming and safe. We would definitely come back and use the hotel as a base to explore more of what Sicily has to offer.

Me and my 19-year old daughter just spend a lovely week in Sicily at the UNA Hotel Naxos Beach Sicily. The first days, due to the Covid pandemic, it was very quiet at the hotel, later more guests arrived and everything got more lively. We stayed at a villa room in the beautifully kept garden. The hotel has 3 swimming pools (1 is Olympic size) and a large private beach, all meticulously kept and just short walks from youe room. There’s lots to do, and more activities were added daily (tennis, snorkeling, diving, trips by boat or Jeep, children’s club, beach volleyball, aquagym, etc). There was a DJ, Live piano music on Friday night (thank you for playing ‘A TE’ on request, it was lovely). We very much enjoyed the very Italian family oriented warm atmosphere of it all, and were pleased to see even today (Corona) it’s possible for all generations together having a great time. A special thank you to the staff: I have never seen people work that hard with a continuous smile! The Covid safety rules were kept rigidly but always friendly, the staff is genuinely eager to keep everyone safe and at the same time make sure everyone has a good time, complimenti! The rooms were spotless clean, the Italian food in the restaurants was amazing (and we’re not easy to please), the people at the front desk went out of their way to fix whatever needed, the bartender mixed whatever needed, and the animation team sure has some badass dancers! And let’s not forget our dear friend Nunzio P. who deserves a prize as most sympathetic waiter of Italy!
If you are looking for a safe vacation right now for the two of you or the entire family, and don’t know where to go, I can definitely recommend this hotel!

Had a 9 day stay at the Naxos beach hotel and the hotel was a lot better than we expected. It was very clean and tidy and the rooms were cleaned everyday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating all through out the hotel.
We had breakfast included in our stay and it was great, always kept full and the staff were always there to help get you what you wanted.
We stayed on the third floor and the room was very modern and it was clear it had been recently refurbished which is always a bonus, it was very clean and there was a lot of space and storage space.
Bathroom facilities were great and we had a lovely sea and mountain view which made our trip.
The hotel has its own private beach which had numerous sun loungers and parasols and it was a lovely beach.
There are a few bars in the hotel, near outside seating areas, the pool and the beach which was great and they offered a great range of drinks and snacks.
The hotel has a few pools but due to a smaller amount of visitors to the hotel only the main pool closest to the restaurant was open, but it was a great pool with a lot of sun loungers, everything was kept clean and the facilities were cleaned in-between each persons use of the sun loungers etc.
The Covid guidance was followed by the hotel very closely, there was hand sanitizer everywhere, a temperature checker in reception, our temperature was checked upon arrival to the hotel, the staff were all wearing masks etc, it all felt very safe.
The hotel also offered a free bus a few times a day into Taormina which was so helpful as taxis were about 20 euros each way.
Couldn't fault the hotel it was great.

We stayed towards the end of May at the point when the hotel was just fully open for the summer season.

The location is great. It’s right on a private beach and in a quiet area of town but only a 15 minute walk to the centre. There are also a number of restaurants and bars nearby if one wants a change. There are bus stops nearby, a selection of shops, and the hotel offers a cheap shuttle bus to nearby Taormina (a must place to visit). You won’t get bored.

The hotel is very clean, the grounds are well maintained, and the staff are very approachable.

The food is good, there always choice. It’s all buffet style and the serving staff and managers are all very attentive.

The bedrooms are all spotlessly cleaned each morning but they do feel a little tired. However the views are great, the bed comfy, the Air Con works, and the fridge keeps things cool. Our only issue was that the hairdryer could be more effective and it’d be nice to have the option of having tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The beach is not rocky. It has a shingle shoreline but sandy behind. There is a chargeable area for the best location for sun beds but there is also a free sun bed area too.

Our only disappointment was that the hotel could not offer us a late checkout (checkout is 10am) and has no alternative facilities for anyone to wash/shower and change for onward travel in the event of a late afternoon departure

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Unahotel at Giardini Naxos.
We opted for all inclusive and a villa.
The all inclusive covered drinks, snacks and breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast /lunch and dinner was buffet style and served in the main restaurant.
Lunch and dinner included local Red or white wine, local beer and still or sparkling water.
Snacks and drinks were avaliable from the beach hut and the bar near the main pool where ice cream was also avaliable.
There is also a little pizza restaurant near the entertainment Square, being all inclusive meant the first visit was free, you do need to get a voucher at hotel reception and then book at the pizza restaurant. The pizzas and desserts were delicious and I'd definitely recommend a visit (water and wine also included). There is also a bar with out door comfy seating for evening drinks which also covers all inclusive drinks.
Every meal we had was fresh and tasty with plenty of options.
The team in the restaurant where all really attentive and made our stay memorable.
The reception team were on hand to answer any questions and helped with trips and travel advice.
Beach towels and sunbed location were avaliable from the beach hut, I'd advise booking the sunbeds for your entire stay (they give you a strip to put around the pole of the umbrella. We picked up fresh towels daily with no problems.
The hotel gardens are really clean and attended to daily.
There are 3 pools the main pool had a water activity every day (this is posted on the notice board every day to inform guest) we didn't use them as the beach was really quiet and had a lovely breeze.
Our accommodation was cleaned daily, with fresh towels (but only if you leave them on the floor or in the shower, if you want to use them an extra day just hang them on the rail). We had 2 bottles of water left every day 1 sparkling and 1 still, we never drank the sparkling and asked the cleaner if we could have 2 still instead, so everyday there after we had 2 still, we felt this was nice as the maid was different daily and they had clearly communicated our request) we had outdoor seating 770 but we didn't use it as it was undercover and surround by bushes - this was the only downside to our stay, but we didn't mind as we made use of the beach).
We booked an excursion from the hotel - Etna half day with wine tasting, we had a guide from Etna Emotions called David who was an absolute delight, his knowledge of Etna and sicily was shared with our group of 6 and really really enjoyable. The food and wine I thought was going to be boring but the wine tasting was really good and Etna wine is something else.
The hotel is an hours drive from the airport which was included in our holiday package with jet2.
We had a wonderful stay and met some really lovely people, guest and staff.
Everything from start to finish of this holiday was perfect and I have already recommended to friends and family and would definately return.

This hotel is ideally located on the beach with a bonus of beautiful gardens. Most hotel rooms have a sea view and have plenty wardrobes and drawers. It was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Places are easy to visit either walking or by bus or boat. It’s not the best beach, pebbly near the sea so take your beach shoes. The beach sun beds are run by the government so there is a charge depending where you sit. The hotel has 4 pools with ample sun beds.
The food in the restaurant was very good with lots of choices meat, fish, salads and of course pasta. Meals are different every night plus a free bottle of wine and water. The desserts are amazing and hard to resist to take elasticated waisted clothes for those extra pounds. The only problem was the mad rush at 7.30 when the restaurant opens for a table. There should be an early sitting for families as this is too late for young children as most were getting tired. A lot of families chose to eat at lunch time I’m sure for this reason. The restaurant has a men wear long trousers policy but I never saw many. In fact there was no dress code.In the evening there is entertainment including a good live band. There was a quiz too but found it was mostly for the Italians and had a few wrong answers!
There are a supermarket and restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Take the hop on hop off bus which takes you around the area and up to Taormina and includes The Godfather tour for only €20, well worth it.
The only big complaint I have is the checking out time of 10am. Our maid was even knocking on our door at 9.50 to leave. Our flight was early evening so I asked if there was a courtesy room to shower as we would be spending our time around the pool but was told there wasn’t but could have another room for €70 which we would only need for 4 hours! So where do you get a shower otherwise, we were told at the pool. I asked for a towel to shower and that was refused .So are you expected just to sit around all day waiting in reception as it’s too hot to go outside. They should have 1 room for leaving guests to take a shower.
All in all a good hotel, would recommend.

Hotel was smart enough, rooms very clean and tidy house keeping 5 star brilliant beds and linen, great bath towels etc. Lovely beach although sea gets deep very quickly, great system during your stay select your sunbeds tag with your room number and they are yours for duration of your stay. life guards on beach water sports available. 2 lovely pools one Olympic size , lifeguard in attendance , very friendly young lady which was nice .Food great if you like pasta, pasta and pasta,or swordfish. We went all inclusive which was a mistake on the food front , while you could find something to eat the serving staff need to be retrained in being friendly.Waiting staff were much better as were bar staff. There are other places to eat out on the strip of which O,neils stood out for us .Reception staff were helpful and the free bus to Taramina was good and a bonus . Visited the Roman theatre in Taranina well worth a look 01 - 03 Bc. Hired our own taxi for half a day to visit Mount Etna well worth the expense and then £30 to cable car up to near the summit . You can walk up if you are of that mind set great views .

We spent one amazing and relaxing week at Unahotel Naxos Beach. This resort represents the ideal location to recover from the day to day stress of life and to put aside the light worries of each one's life. We have always been welcoming with courtesy and with a smile since our arrival from the reception's staff to continue with the people serving at both restaurants ( a special mention in this respect to Mr. Nunzio, Mrs. Maria Rita and Francesca). The food is of high quality standards while the beach is a mix of small stones and grey sand bathed by clear crystal sea and offering all the facilities you might need (showers, bar, safeguard etc). The park of this resort it's itself an attraction with its magnificient variety of Mediterranean trees and flowers. Finally a special thanks to the management of this structure represented by its Director Mr.Tommasi that we personally saw helping out with the highest efficiency and professional attitude any guest's need. Thanks again, we hope to come back soon.

From a Sicilian living abroad since several years I felt proud that such level of competency, beautifulness and charms might be offered to worldwide tourists.

Lorenzo

Firstly, I absolutely loved Sicily. This is an honest review if you're planning a holiday with children.
We stayed on the second floor in the main hotel. the room was large enough for the three of us (2x adults and 1x child 11yrs) clean but very dated.
If you are used to going all inclusive to Spain or Greece, then Italy is very different anyway and this hotel whilst the food was very good, it was limited. Not much choice for kids if they are fussy other than pasta, lots of fish, a meat choice, sometimes a roast carvery beef or venison only ever one potato choice and one veg choice, but as you're in Italy, it is expected you have 4 courses anyway. The pasta always had about 3 choices and was very nice.
The entertainment on an evening was pretty rubbish. The kids clubs and kid mini disco was all in Italian. They held a quiz night and lots of questions based on Italy, great for the many Italians on holiday. One night there was a show similar to our Punch and Judy show but again all in Italian!
The daytime all inclusive snacks lunch was either in the hotel main restaurant, pasta and fish or the snack bar by the pool or beach which was a selection of sandwiches, Piadinas, if you wanted fries you had to pay 4 Euros!!
There was a good selection of alcoholic drinks in the all inclusive and the ice creams were delicious.
The pools were very clean and did not open until 0930 and always plenty of sunbeds until around 1030. If you like the beach, make sure you take beach shoes as the sand (if you can call it sand) is very rough and sharp shingle.
There were many Italian families on holiday in August and the Hotel definitely catered for them more than us English.
I would definitely recommend Antonio's boat trip, bookable via the hotel concierge, that was fantastic and a day trip to Taormina town.
Overall, I would give the holiday a 6.5 - 7/10.
If there was a better evening entertainment programme for Brits and even other nationalities other than Italians, that would be beneficial. The food although limited in choice was very very nice.
Oh and the mosquitoes are just awful in August!

We stayed at this great hotel 10 days in October just before the season ended and had a wonderful experience. Our family had adjacent rooms in the main building of the hotel with a very practical connecting door. The rooms had a light and modern touch with all amenities and a great view of the sea. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive and our wishes were fulfilled immediately. Rooms were always neatly cleaned. Among the highlights was our daily dinner (half-board) with a wide and ever changing selection of great Italian food and delicacies as well as local wines. All staff at the restaurant was very attentive, organisation incl. Covid-19 related hygiene concept was handled professionally and smoothly. Special thanks to the restaurant manager Nuncio who always greated us with Italian charm and made us feel warmly welcome and well taken care of. Given that it was end of the season we were able to enjoy a beautiful garden and beach with good weather, still warm water tempertures and without crowds. Plenty of course to discover and to do near Giardini Naxos and beyond. Our only regret - we would have loved to stay longer!
