I will try to write an objective review but I have to mention that whilst we were there the hotel had booked in 28 12/13 year olds and their staff from the England Schools Ski Squad which did have an impact on our stay, especially as we had chosen this week to avoid any school holidays. We were given a... More

The Hotel Chalet Des Alpes offers an ideal location for a family skiing holiday, with a ski in and ski out location. David and his staff make you feel extremely welcome and met our every request with a smile. The food was an excellent standard, with lots of choice and the antipasti buffet was to die for every night! Breakfast... More

Just back from Ski trip. Hotel very clean, staff quite friendly but food was really really bad. Couldn't believe anyone could make Italian food taste so bland. Shower was really small and room really stuffy and too hot, control had a mind of its own. Would not recommend staying hear unless prepared to eat out every evening. WiFi in the... More

Spent 4 days/nights in this hotel on half board B+B+dinner. The breakfast was good with a good buffet but dinner was appalling, the only decent thing was the antipasti buffet, both first and second courses were usually awuful, poorly cooked and poor quality. All the main courses included meet, no vegetarian option, not even chicken or fish and when asked... More

Just returned from a week staying here for the new year 15/16, David and his staff made our stay very enjoyable, Food was very good and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room overlooked the homeward bound slope and was very clean tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Good boot room with access directly onto... More

We picked the wrong time to come, as apparently the Dutch and the French children were on half-term break and descended on Pila in droves. This was 22 February 2015. Last year, in January, the beautiful pistes of Pila were blissfully empty. I prefer Hotel Chalet des Alpes to the bigger Hotel Etoile de Neige, where we stayed in 2014,... More

Hotel positives:- -Ski in/out location for all but beginners -Friendly, family-run -Basic but warm, comfortable rooms with plenty of hot water and pleasant views -Plentiful food -tasty home-made cakes; good buffet of anti pasta at dinner -Complimentary wine/water with dinner and complimentary biscuits/snacks near the bar -Any issues you may have are dealt with swiftly and efficiently (e.g. as two... Pila is not an attractive traditional resort; most of the accommodation is in ugly apartment blocks. Chalet des Alpes is a small family-run hotel with traditional pine decor, spotlessly-clean bedrooms, comfortable beds, and wonderful views from all bedrooms. This is not a luxury establishment, but all the ingredients are there for a good ski holiday. As mentioned by others the... More

Just recently returned from a ski holiday in Pila where we stayed at the Hotel Chalet Des Alpes. This is a traditional Italian family business where everybody gets involved in the service delivery to customers from reception to serving drinks and the meals. Rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty storage space which is a necessity on a ski holiday with... More

Just returned from a week at the chalet des alpes. Great location, clean, family run hotel. All of the staff are fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you and we would definitely stay there again.
