The rooms are lovely with an awesome (!!) view. We arrived late in the evening and had dinner in the hotel restaurant. If you stay in the hotel I can only recommend to do the same as the food was really great. The hotel is a bit outside the city but makes up for this with a fantastic view and... More

Hotel Fontanella has one of the very best views over the Dolomites peaks. My room faced the mountains and it was a great pleasure to start and end the day with that view. Large, very clean and recently renovated room with tasteful decor. Very nice breakfast and excellent dinner menu. The owners could not have been nicer and more welcoming,... More

I went into this hotel to enquire about breakfast a couple of days earlier. The lady I spoke to was very nice and said it would be €12 each and wrote it down. We subsequently returned on the Saturday. The breakfast was ok but no better than the one we paid €8.50 for at a hotel close by. However when... More

Stayed here with a larger family group for a ski holiday. Great views and excellent free hotel minibus service more than offsets any downside from being slightly on the edge of town. Comfortable rooms with excellent modern bathrooms, which were cleaned to a very high standard each day. We ate in the hotel most nights, preferring the table d'hote style... More

I booked blind what was available - we wanted the resort and 5 rooms across three families. It ticked all the boxes for good ski accommodation - loads of filling local food (and a €20 dinner rate), space to chill together 'apres ski', big rooms and balconies, stellar bathrooms and comfortable beds. The bonus in Madonna was the peace and... More

We accidentally stumbled upon this little hotel when the one we originally booked was invaded by a large group of screaming 16 year olds. Luckily, Fontanella had 1 room left, and we moved there after the first day. The hotel has been recently renovated, and is very pleasant and beautiful, with amazing views of the Dolomites. Slightly out of the... More

A great family run hotel at the outskirts of Campiglio that offers stunning views and a superb value. Friendly and efficient service that the operators go out of their way to try and please. My only comment is to ask for a room that is not facing or looking onto the road, there is a bit of traffic until 11pm.

We stayed here for a few days skiing in Madonna di Campiglio at the beginning of March. Having arrived in the dark, we were amazed to open the curtains in the morning to an absolutely breath-taking view of the mountains. We stayed in an Alpine Hut room, which is beautifully decked out in wood furnishings and with a huge balcony.... More
