This timeshare is located on a steep mountain-side with "views to kill for". However, it is old and worn out, with unkempt flower beds and grass verges. It needs a car and a love of driving, as there are many hair-pin bends to contend with.Whilst the apartment is clean, it is old and worn-out, with no kettle, no decent knife available ie lacks basic essentials. The pool was dirty! To enjoy the resort, you have to be able to walk and decently fit. It is not wheelchair friendly. It's location is excellent for mountain walking and there are also excellent beaches and restaurants within driving distance.

Beautiful area, a lot like Amalfi without the crowds! The unit was comfortable and clean but with only bare necessities. In fact, in you run out of toliet paper (they give you 2 small rolls) you are expected to buy your own. No beach towels are furnished either. The views would be wonderful were in not for the vegetation overgrowth. Why they don't keep it under control is beyond me. It is such a shame. In fact, all the grounds could use attention. The ride to and view from the statue of Christ is great. The shoreline cruise excursion that is offered next to the office is a great bargin and makes for an enjoyable outing. The pool on premisis is lovely (though not heated) but we were bothered by many flies and wasps, and in fact I was stung, as was another person we met there. The resort is a distance from any main sights, like Pompeii, Almafi Coast, or Naples--at least 2 plus hours over narrow switchback mountain roads.

I have a lot to say about this place...so I hope you're ready. Unfortunately it's because it was such a disappointment. I'll start off with a few of the good things though...

The Good:
-Isolated location - if you’re looking for a place to vacation away from the city chaos, you may see this as a big plus. If you are here for longer than a few days, you may quickly run out of things to do/see if you do not have a car.
-Restaurant staff- always polite, helpful and conversational. Nothing bad to say about them.
-Beaches- the beaches close by are beautiful, and there is a free shuttle. We swam a lot - the water was warm and clear!!
-Close to the Christ the Redeemer statue. A nice hike and stunning views. Highly recommend you do this hike! It's about an hour walk from the club to the top. We went at sunset. There are shops/places to eat at the top - cash only.
-The karaoke guy that performs at night is really into it, and very good! (Even though there was never anyone outside listening.)

The Bad - (There's a lot to say here, unfortunately...)

-Isolated location - this was also on the "good" list because it can be a good thing for a few days. Over a week staying at the club becomes very boring very quickly if you don't have a car. And it adds up quickly $$$ to taxi into town.
-We waited 3 hours past our check in time to get into our room. We inquired with the front office staff and they were very unorganized and said that they didn't know when we would be able to check in. They had zero information.
-Upon checking in, we were extremely disappointed to notice that our room was dirty! For such a long wait, we expected so much better. Before putting our stuff down, we swept the floors because there were crumbs all over. The only thing that was clean were the sheets (which felt like sand paper).
-We also noticed dirt on the walls and floors, and mold in some areas near the kitchen. We notified the front but they did not do anything. So we had to try to scrub some of it off by ourselves. We obviously don't want to spend 5 more days with mold.
-Spiders in the corners of the ceiling of the bathroom - so clearly they don't clean those areas.
-Bath tub was really gross and had leftover hair and dirt from previous guests. To be honest, I'm really not sure if they cleaned our place at all, besides changing the sheets.
-Every morning there was a trail of ants from the bedroom floors to the kitchen (we are very clean and did not have food left out anywhere). We notified the front about this as well but they did not do anything.
-they provide toilet paper for day one and expect you to buy it for the rest of the time.
-There were chips and cracks out of the tile throughout the kitchen and bedroom - this doesn't affect the cleanliness, but you'd think they could put more effort into the appearance for how much you pay to stay.
-Mosquitos are a big issue- the real issue is that there were no screens on doors or windows so it got very stuffy in the evenings when you had to keep it all shut.
-Never any hot water...this was among other things, extremely frustrating!!! We got about less than 2 minutes of hot water before it turned cold. And this was trying the shower at various points in the day. We contacted the front office that first night, and they couldn't send maintenance until the next day. Maintenance came on day 2 and they said there's nothing to be done. So that was fun.
-Supposedly we were supposed to have a stocked kitchenette but we had no pots and pans and had to call several times to get them. There is no coffee maker, no toaster, no microwave.
-WIFI never ever worked. DO NOT depend on the wifi. Many times we had to go up to the main area by the restaurant in order to get wifi. This was very annoying. Especially traveling internationally when you rely on WIFI. DO NOT advertise free WIFI if it doesn't even work.
-The mini market sometimes took card, but sometimes cash only. Be aware of this.
-There is only one restaurant to choose from. The menu becomes very limited after a few days of being there.
-Gelato in the restaurant - always semi melted when we got it. Keep the gelato cold!!!!
-Euro Travel was helpful but would often provide inaccurate information.
-Euro Travel reserved a taxi prior to our last day for us to get a ride to the train station. We reserved it in advance since we had pre-booked our train tickets. Well, they were a no show and we had to hurriedly call our own. Talk about a stressful way to end a bad stay!
-Front office staff is unorganized and gets quickly annoyed with questions. Customer service is not their priority. As with all of the issues noted above, they do not care about resolving them.

This was much, much lower quality than staying at a Motel 6.

Overall, such a big disappointment. It's one thing to stay in a room with really outdated, run-down furniture. That's disappointing in itself, but it's entirely another thing to check in and immediately find mold, ants, bugs, dirt etc. That's not a very happy thing when you realize that you have 5 more days to stay there.

If after ALL that I have listed above you still decide to stay here, you'll have to force yourself to think of the place like a more expensive version of camping and you'll be better prepared. We expected SO much better of this place and were greatly disappointed. You've be warned.

Cordiali saluti. Lo staff

The terrace table and chairs were dirty, so was the towel rack. The wastebin was broken (in pieces), there was neither microwave nor coffee maker or toaster in the kitchen, no hairdryer in the bathroom.

The Resort has already a higher age and some facilities look they have had already their best times. There was a summer sledge infrastructure completly broken down on the left side of the resort, the bath room showed some mold. The mattresses have been worn and the sleep wasn´t comfortably.
The view to the sea ist amazing and also the possibilities in the resort (market, cash machine, restaurant) are good standard.
Thank Gerd G
