I stayed at Aurora for 3 nights. It's a hotel near the historic centre of Mestre. There are buses to take you from the Train Station and leave you just outside the Hotel. Also there are nearby bus and trams to take you to Venezia. Near the Hotel there are many nice restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. The room was clean...

Easy to find (once you know your bearings). From mestre railway station if you have your back to mcdonalds restaurant you walk across the road taking the road signed via piave. It is about a 20 minute walk just go straight up until you come to a roundabout and turn right down past a small park area. You will eventually...

My Italian friend helped me to find this hote, cause hotels in Venice are more expensive. It was fun to get there, cause when I entered bus in Venice, I found out that nobody spoke English there :) I came to Mestre then and I found this hotel. Mestre is a nice place. I rented a room in this hotel....

Spent one night in Hotel Aurora with my family. A very well located hotel in the middle of Mestre. Some shops and nice restaurants are right there in the corner. Room was not too spacious, to be honest it was bit small, but air conditioning worked very well. The Sri Lankan staff member was extremely great and helpful. Full points...

Very clean hotel and the shower pressure is good. VERY helpful, friendly and genuine couple running the hotel. They not only recommend what to see but also more practical stuff like how and what kind of bus tickets to buy. The breakfast was very nice and fresh. The woman working in the cantine is super alert and always made sure...

Arrived at 10 pm greeted by helpful receptionist. Went to my room and it fell way short of what I was expecting. Clean but dated and tatty. It was raining very heavily and my window was just above a plastic corrugated roof that only made the rain sound louder. Bed was firm, with a sheet on and what looked like...

As you drive in on the #15 bus from Marco Polo (Venice) airport through Mestre towards Venice the landscape looks uninteresting and I think many people just pass through the city of Mestre. Don't do that! I just spent 3 nights at the Marco Polo Hotel in Mestre and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The hotel is very nice. The...

“62 / 64 / 69 are the highest rooms (2nd floor). The small balconies only offer views of other buildings and a quiet side street. Good for drying items in the sun but so hot when we visited in June 2012 that we kept the curtains closed most of the time.”
