It's been a long time since it's renovated, breakfast was very poor. Only good thing was welcoming drinks. The door from the bathroom locked itself once, the was only 2 power sockets which was hard to find. There was no mini bar. I won't came back again in this hotel for sure.

This was our second visit to Tuscany and our sixth trip with The Travel Department. We were really looked forward to our holiday and stay in Hotel Ambasciatori Terme. I will be reiterating what the other reviewers have said. The bedrooms were basic but clean, no drawer space and clothes hung in wardrobe were on the floor in the morning.... More

My wife and I visited Tuscany 17-22 May 2016 and stayed in the misleadingly called Grand Hotel Ambasciatori in Montecatini. We were fulfilling a long held desire to visit Tuscany. As a retired couple we travel extensively in Europe and further afield, normally planning our own itinerary. However, on this occasion we decided to put our faith in a "package... More

We booked a Tuscany tour with Travel Department, and this was the hotel chosen by them. Definitely not 4*. Bathrooms are good, but bedrooms are tired, with chipped furniture, drawers that would not open, lack of storage. Restaurant, reception rooms and corridors are rather tired and old-fashioned, certainly not what you would expect for a 4* hotel. Meals were shockingly... More

My husband and I recently returned from a week's stay in this 'hotel' - dreadful! We are very fortunate to travel frequently but to date I have never had food like it. The limited repetitive choice at breakfast was miserable - not a yoghurt, grapefruit, tomato in sight. We had to choose our evening meal at the previous night's dinner,... More

Just back today from staying in this hotel. On arrival the hotel looked good and cold buffet was actually quite acceptable. Room was very clean but minimal. Only set of drawers were in wardrobe but didn't open. Bathroom small but clean although towards end of week was a bit smelly. Then it went downhill. Breakfast just ok. Poor quality fruit... More

The room was OK, certainly not 4 star as advertised, I would say 2 star. This was a trip organised by my husbands choir, with lots of outings etc. The problem arose when we ate at the hotel. It was the worst food I have ever been served, anywhere. There is nothing in any of the meals we were given... More

The hotel looked nice on first entering. The rooms were clean but the bathroom was a bit whiffy. The pool was closed (various reasons given) The food was poor and the lounge/bar was closed so we were unable to get a drink or coffee after our evening meal. The whole group complained and things got a bit better. The staff... More

I am currently staying at this hotel and will be returning to the uk tomorrow, I will write a full review asap. In the meantime please don't book this hotel, the food is absolutely terrible, everything is overpriced and the staff will continually attempt to rip you off in absolutely anyway possible. A full review to follow shortly and its... More
