I went along with a family that had 2 small children. The owners were very kind an receptive to children. There was a play area for them and walking trails with wild grapes growing along the sides. They also had a horse on the grounds that was so gentle and beautiful, that kept the kids entertained for hours! The cottage... More

This is our second time staying at Il Casalone. We absolutely love it. The apartments are large and very comfortable. It is so quiet anfpdand in beautiful surroundings. The views are sensational, whether it is over the Tuscan countryside on one side or way down to Lago Trasemeno on the other. Paolo, Gino and Marella are lovely people. There is... More

We stayed at Il Casalone for 10 nights. Our hosts Paulao and family were wonderful, warm and friendly. The units are large, clean, self contained and in a very quiet locale with views all around of the Tuscan hills. Montepulciano is very close as well as Pienza, Siena and many other interesting historical villages. Ferro Battuto (iron foundry) is in... More

The experience of our stay was a great one. Nowadays so much hospitality and service is absolute remarkable and very heartwarming. It does not only make you feel at home but also wanting to come back as soon as possible. All the credits for this go to Paolo and of course his boxer... :-) Paolo, thanks again! Rob

The place is stunning. Beautiful scenery and the best hospitality one can have. Paolo is very humble, great to ask for tips on places to eat and visit. Il Casalone is a relaxing, very comfortable and peaceful place.

We are located on a crest, far away from the heat and the noise, immersed in a green, unspoiled countryside. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking scenery, with magnificent views ranging from the Monte Amiata to Montalcino, to Pienza, and to the profile of the metalliferous hills; from the Trasimeno Lake to the Subasio; and from the Umbrian-Marchigian Appenine to the Cosentino.Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, Florence, and Orvieto, Tuscany’s major cultural art cities, are only within an hour’s reach. There are 6 comfortable apartments at your disposal which are provided with a fully furnished kitchen, and a laundry room. The weekly change of linen is included in the price, and so is the swimming pool (which catches the sun's rays from dawn till dusk!). You are welcome to savour the natural beauty and abundance of the 10.000 m² of green areas that are close to your apartments. What is more, you can have a stroll through our 40-hectare park.
