I've never stayed at a hotel with such a personal feel to it. I was there to snowboard in Val Gardena and that I did. My room was spacious with a table and bench seating. There was also a sizeable balcony to watch the sun set. Everything was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was European style with enough to give you a great start to the day. The public bus service into town or to Seceda chairlift was right on the hotel doorstep but if I missed it, it was easy to use the hotel shuttle service (for free). Ludwig was the answer to any of my questions. No request was ever too much for him. He truly made my holiday memorable. The location is away from the restaurant centre but dining nightly at the hotel is worth every cent. Multiple courses and a menu that changed daily. I got to experience Italian, German and Tyrolean cuisine (see photos). Loved this hotel. Will stay here again if I get back to this area. This is a deserving 5 star review.…
We just spent a week at Hotel Talblick with our granddaughter (7). Very kind people (especially Ludwig who took really care of us), very good food (variety, quality and extra choice for the child when needed) and a special mention for the Room Service, that did more than just clean up the room, but re-shaped the childs bed (with het dolls) in a new way every day, to her greater joy. We had a Superior room and it was really superior (brandnew!).
My wife and I stayed here in July and had the most wonderful time. The owners are just lovely and really happy to do everything to make your stay here as wonderful as possible so much so that we met guests here who have been coming back for twenty years or more which is always a good sign. "Talblick" means "Valley view" which is what you get from most of the rooms and those views are stunning extending all the way past the Sasso Lungo to Sella - something you don't quite get in the town. Ortisei itself is 2km or so down a steep hill but, be warned, it is a steep walk back however the bus from the centre drops guests off right outside the hotel and taxis are available. With the view comes the tranquility of being outside town but close enough to enjoy it. The food is exceptional. I have dined in many michelin starred restaurants and this 4 course feast every night is the equal of any of those and exceeds many meals I have had in 5 star hotels. The owners will accomodate if there is something on the menu you do not like but my advice is go for it all - its is delicious. The chef is very creative and the meals varied each night. Additionally the hotel signs up to the local walks so you can join those for free and be taken by guides into the moutain pastures (surprisingly flat) and mountains (of which the Via Ferrata will test even the strongest). You also receive a free bus pass which is an excellent way of seeing the region and we even visited Merano 2 hours away without paying a penny to get there. This is a real benefit. If you come by car there is an underground garage but we just parked ours up and left it preferring the frequent bus service to get around. The room we stayed in was large with a sofabed which would be used for the kids but would still not feel cramped. TV is only Italian and German but who wants to stay indoors when you have such a view outdoors!? The rooms are cleaned daily and the bathroom is excellent. There is a sauna room available on request which is comfortable for 8 to 10 people to use at a time. That said, you'll probably be the only one there. Prices for drinks are very reasonable (a spritz with the proper amount of prosecco - some places dilute this with soda water - was 3 euros) so staying there and having a drink from the terrace was perfect. So, a fantastic stay and when we return, as I am sure we will, this will be our hotel of choice.…
From arrival to departure we were taken care of by the charming hosts at this well equipped little hotel with fine views across Val Gardena to Alpi di Siusi/Seiseralm. Shuttle to and from lifts perfect, food good, fresh and plentiful. New snow at the start and sunshine for the end made for a perfect week. We can't wait to return.
We stayed here for 3 nights during sept. Everything was joyful. The staff were very accommodating and nice. Especially Petra! The rooms are well kept and large. Take a room with a balcony to the valley. Nice views!!! Thank You!
