My wife and I stayed here for one night during our trip to Italy this past September 2018. I planned to stay in Orvieto after watching a Rick Steves episode as we traveled from Positano to Tuscany. The hotel was family run who were friendly and accommodating. Our room was

Although not a fancy hotel the Hotel Duomo has clean and nice rooms. There is an elevator. Our room had a shower which we requested. The WiFi worked. The breakfast was sort of a continental breakfast typical of Italian hotels with some meats, cheese, and pastries plus hard

We were going from Venice to Sorrento and wanted to stop somewhere about halfway. Orvieto turned out to be a great place to stop. We took Rick Steves recommendation and it was fine. Parents (who do not speak much English) and their daughter who does speak English own and run the

Had a great brief stay here in September. Super comfortable room that had a lot of nice touches. The staff in the hotel were particularly helpful and as usual really make the difference to a stay. As the names suggests the hotel is located a stones throw from the Duomo and so is

The Younger fellow who checked us in and helped us along the way during our stay was great. The breakfast was simple but yummy. We were unlucky with the room, it was in what they call the annex. No view, cramped. A pet peeve of mine, is when a hotel puts so many mini bar

Room #102 entrance.
View out of our room window. Room #102. Terrace area for the customers to relax with a drink from the bar.
Our room #102 was very comfortable and had plenty of space. Room #102 had a small room adjacent to the bedroom with a couch or chair.

Having visited the hotel last year I can tell you they have a lot of parking on some waste land very close to the hotel that is behind a high wall with tall locked gates. You wouldn't even know it was there. As for the postcode, when you get close there are small signs to the hotel that seem to direct you the wrong way down a one way street. Follow the signs because they are correct, don't be put off. Instructions to the hotel are on their website and it says unload right outside and the owner will park your car for you at no extra charge. That's certainly what happened to us and it all worked fine.
